After listening the designer/engineer for this vehicle, the intent was to have a large, yet, "garageble" SUV. The Yukon Denali is larger, no question, but it doesn't fit on everyone's garage. This Sequoia fills that gap of a very large, capable SUV, yet, fits in most garages. That was the goal, and I feel this vehicle accomplished that in style, along with being 20k less than the top of the line Denali.

Hey Joe have you had any contact with the law in any of your test runs? That beast is pretty quick for its size. It would take many of the 70's muscle cars 0-60. In a close call otherwise would have to go with Toyota reliability over GM. It seems most owners of these XXL SUVs keep them a number of years.

Love the Sequoia I feel like the Sequoia is a dandy. I feel like the Sequoia Capstone needs a built in refrigerator and I feel like the crome looks good.

Not ready to go hybrid yet. Would rather stay with the V-8 and the indy rear suspension. Overall still not seeing it for the $$$. And I'm a Toyota guy. One other thing I just noticed. Not sure if I would like sitting in the back seat and having 2 Stars Wars Storm Troopers staring at me

Traded my 2016 Denali in for a Sequoia Capstone. I'm so happy I did. Fit, finish and quality have already exceeded my expectations. I'm much happier with my Sequoia!

It's better in the fact that you can keep it outside of the warranty period without the transmission spilling its guts out on your driveway.

Owner of a 22 Tundra Capstone, one of my trips to the dealership I actually had them turn off the pumped in engine sounds. Being a high end luxury model I prefer it quiet.

Except that mantra is for their non turbo options - this is heavy, turbo, and hybrid. Look in the Tundra forums about this set up. It aint Toyota reliable...

@Joe Raiti. I love the Sequoia. But I still think the interior packaging was not property planned and executed. A vehicle this big should have a proper 3rd row seat and proper cargo area. I think Toyota missed a good opportunity in that sense. I also think going to a solid rear axle and suspension set up is counter productive. A multilink rear suspension would not only have been better but would also have helped with a lower floor at the rear.

yeah that's the exact change they did for the new gen GM SUVs for rear suspension to make those seats even better and higher off the ground.
