Forever I hope! It surpasses anything else in large SUVs. People should realize that many luxury car brands maintain a winning model design for years before changing it. It's good for the Manufacturers who can keep their costs down & it's good for their buyers who don't have to change their vechiles every year or two to look like they are driving a new truck. The 2025 will be awesome...but so is this current body style.

Imagine if Infiniti continues to make this until like 2030 and it still looks like this. I wouldn’t be surprised. I actually still think it looks nice on the outside but the interior can’t be justified as a luxury version of the Nissan Armada since the interior is practically the same. The interior is still very nice tho. And this thing will last you a long time, in terms of engine, transmission, nothing will fall apart, similar to that of like the Lexus LX.

The dealers are taking back 2022 QX80s with 20,000 miles for under $50,000. So a $90,000 purchase is losing almost 50% of it's value in 2 years. Buying a used one might be the way to go.

truth be told, I own the 2017 version of this. It is essentially the same truck (along with the Nissan Armada). Only the front end treatment, center screen on the instrument cluster and center stack are different. All else is the same. Plus, the 2017 is a better looker and gets lots of attention from people when you drive it.
Many people have asked about my truck even now...and I have seen many people in my area get the older versions since I got mine new (but tons more of the Armada version of this tho). The current versions looks plain and innocuous. Back when the 2015-2017 came out, many people were torn over the looks...but years later, it has aged well and people love it. It has enough crazy curves, angles , light arrangement and chrome-work that make it stand out and look uber luxurious.
I dont see that many of this version of the QX80 in my area to be honest. You may as well pay less and get all the things this current version. Id do a center stack and instrument cluster swap if I can get around to it

Or get the GM And hope like hell the cylinder management makes it past 60,000 miles before crapping out Or better yet get the ford turbo, yeah that’s the way to go, no thanks ill keep my 5.6 V8

Never understood why they did not add a panoramic roof or at least something resembling a moonroof for the back seat passengers. Lexus 600 and Cadillac Escalade both have them. Such a large wasted area in a very long roofline.

$91k is a steep price for this thing. You can step into a base Lexus LX for about $2k more. The extra $2k will be more than paid back after 2 years of ownership. And the Lexus has a solid rear axle which is durable and gives you superior off road chops. If you want this vehicle, or any other current-gen QX80's, wait a couple of years and buy them on the used market. I'm not saying this is a bad vehicle (aside from mediocre infotainment), but depreciation on this vehicle will be huge being it is a NA V8 and thirsty. Conversely, it is a NA V8 and is probably more reliable than a turbo engine. Nice interior that you will want to put your hands all over. The next gen QX80 will likely get the Z car makeover; the hard points will be the same(same interior comfort/dimensions/switchgear), and it will likely get a version of the 3.0L turbo V6. But it still won't be highly competitive in the market. The competition still has the brand cachet and party tricks. Get a used one.

Looks nice. I really like infiniti sedans, especially when the redesign was more fresh around 2015 for their sedans. I hope they redesign them and update the tech for the competitive modern market.
Edit: Correction, the exterior looks very nice IMO, not even sure if it needs many changes. But if we are talking about the interior, it clearly looks dated, but in a mostly unpleasant way 😂. The worst offenders are the wheel, gauges, and by far the worst is the tech

I would still take a used jdm right hand drive import Toyota Land Cruiser, Nissan patrol and a Mitsubishi Pajero super over this. $20,000 Canadian for one of them. Carries 6 or 7 people, similar gas mileage, easier to repair and maintain and just has that cool factor that this thing misses out on.

I feel like Nissan/Infiniti struggle the most with updating and keeping their products modern. The Q50 has been around for a decade relatively unchanged, the interior being it's most glaring issue. Even worse, since the QX80 went on sale, the Escalade has been through two generations. Makes me sad, late 90's/early 2000's with cars like the Maxima and G35 the brands were serious competitors and now I couldn't name one single model that another brand does better in almost every metric.
