I just bought the tein advance and I read the instructions, it's almost like a break in period before lowering it really low, drove it like that for about 2 weeks and then lowered it to my liking and it's a beautiful ride, I don't go to much on the hard setting I stay a few clicks away from it, you actually keep people watching your videos with your crazy ass, thanks for so you want a honda prelude, that one also has Tein advance
Just a helpful tip, if the ride height is too low after the install without any height adjustments, you can raise it. For rear divorced setups, the spring perch will have threading below the adjuster rings showing how much room you have to raise the ride height. Be sure to adjust the shock body height accordingly.
@@crxk20r59 Yeah I put mine on about a year ago and didnt adjust anything and put them on how they came, and as soon as a I reversed out of my driveway, front passenger side coilsovers were creeking and still to this day they do it, and plus my front driverside coils have lowered itself twice now after readjusting them back to the height I want.
@@Kylelngram damm that sucks. So far the best coil over set up I’ve owned is Koni yellow w/ground control. Also wanna try fortune auto someday. Good luck on ur next set up 👍
I was watching a video where in japan they just wrap their threads with electrical tape. then when they need to adjust them take off the tape and the threads stay looking clean and fresh. But at the same time, it would be annoying having to unravel all that tape just to adjust your coil overs. but then again.. most of us who have coil overs make a few adjustments and almost never touch them again lol.
Electrical tape leaves a nasty residue. I'm sure there's something better than that, like coilover socks. But they also have problems of their own, so pick your poison.

We installed some bc racing coilovers on a 10th gen civic hatchback everything’s been good they ride really smooth except when we hit a bump it makes like a clunking noise and that started like a week after getting installed
I have a 1997 Lincoln Town car it has air suspension and I was wondering if there is a way to use the stock suspension and add something so I can lift and lower it to whatever height I want? I would love an answer
I am new to fitting wheels and tires, if my car comes stock with 245/45/R18 size tires, does getting larger wheels/tires affect my speedometer, and if it affects my speedometer, does that affect how fast or slow my car’s odometer reads? so will a larger set of wheels and tires make my speedo read slower since there’s less revolutions and therefore gain mileage slower?
It will effect it due to the amount of distance per revolution for both speedo and odometer, yes. This difference with the odometer with a slightly larger size will be very minor and is no cause for major concern. You have the right idea with the larger wheels/tires making your speedo read slightly slower.
