Hey Rahdo!!! First of all I wanted to thank you for this spotlight because I didn't knew about the next Tiny Epic game and it caught me today as such a nice surprise! It really lit my day. I don't have all the Tiny Epic games. I'm waiting for Tiny Epic Galaxy base+expansion to arrive and I've backed the last Tiny Epic Defenders base+expansion. But this is truly nice, unique and with a nice flavor, even though it is with zombies (which is a theme I kind of got saturated the last 2-3 years). I'll back it and it will have a nice timing with Halloween! Second, I wanted to thank you for your work in spotlighting board games, because you really shaped my "board gaming identity" when I first started into modern tabletop games. As you once mentioned, this is indeed the golden age for board games and starting out can be really hard. Especially since there are a lot of types/themes/mechanics and most of the time, at the beginning, you actually don't know what you want. And since I am also playing with my wife, I had to select appropriate games for her too. And on top of that I needed to make financially responsible decisions too :) . You helped a lot with that and we both thank you! Third, in this video you're looking a bit tired and pale (blame my doctor eye :P). I hope you're not ill and wish you the best of health and luck!!! hmm, #1 defenders #2 galaxies #3 quest (bear in mind, i've only played full commercial release for #1 and #2, so a #3 is based on prototypes, and the TE games tend to go through a bit more development before they ship, after i play them, so i can't be 100%) :)
Seems very DoW like... fully co-op mode, betrayal mode, hardcore mode etc... item meeple seems to be the only new thing, but I think they missed the opportunity to put the stats on the item so you really get rid of a game card. No pt having the meeple and still have a ref card for the item.
I don’t get how you like this game but not Black Orchestra. They both have that pick up and deliver mechanic that the game relies heavily on. So how is this game not similar to Black Orchestra in this regard?
this game plays in a fraction of the time that BO plays which makes PU&D more palitable. plus, TEZ is much better when you've got a human player controlling the zombies, which elevates the experience quite a bit.
I saw this game and it looked very promising. It has some interesting ideas. But...this game looks no fun at all. Weird rules like the motorcycle returns to starting place(?), and tokens moving all over the place. The ammo/health combination is stupid. Why having to use bullets getting the characters loosing life? Doesn't make any sense. Moving through rooms and walls looks a little silly. Doesn't give you a real way to plan your movement feeling the danger around you. Those huge ugly meeples are not helping at all. Making the game very distant. I couldn't get the feeling I was participating in a horror-survival game. Not even a humorous one. The zombies where...not zombies. I would prefer paper standees than those meeples. I never got the feeling that the player was trapped and in danger. The fights were...no fights. You decide to kill a zombie in a different space and...boom. It is dead. No missing shoots. No danger. No feeling of accomplishment. No fun! The melee fight, is a little better. But you have no real reason to do it in most cases. Bullets should be rare and fights should be mostly melee. With danger. And risk. And consequences. This game have no "character". It have no intense fights. It have no danger feeling. It have meeples. It have tokens. It have no fun..... :(
Haris Zark you have entire missed the point of the game. It is perfectly clear why ammo is tied to health. At some point if you are that low on health and ammonia you aren’t going to survive.
@@victorgonzalez2927 sorry but no, it's not perfectly clear at all. You could have all your health, but if you shoot too much you die. It's weird. You could say that it's because you don't have enough ammo to defend yourself, but since there's melee combat in the game it still makes no sense.
@@victorgonzalez2927 Care to explain yourself? Why would someone die if he's out of ammo and has access to melee weapons like a baseball bat or chainsaw? I'd really like an explanation on this and not some childish insults.
