Got my Deluxe copy earlier this week and just played it yesterday. It was a blast! I've seen a person on multiple reviews (from months ago) talking about how the game doesn't seem like it'll be exciting or have a feeling of accomplishment. They couldn't be farther from the truth. One bad turn can see the humans go from winning by a large margin to within biting distance of defeat. And one good turn can take them from certain defeat to clearing the mall and having plenty of breathing room. This applies to the zombies too. And when you're out of extra lives, the barricade's got 1 hp, and the players are racing the zombies to the courtyard with the last objective tokens, yeah, you do feel a sense of accomplishment. You're going to fist pump. Solo or with friends, this game's a hoot! 😎
Tiny epic nitpick: with 4 pairs of stores, there should be a 1 in 4 chance of making noise on any given turn, not a 1 in 3 - though once play starts, that probability will shift as cards are revealed (and with 26 cards total, it's not going to be the same number of each symbol to start with either).
I'm eagerly awaiting my Kickstarter to arrive so thought i'd start watching gameplay. Your video has definitely given me a good idea of how it will play, thanks a bunch :)
Why didn't they just produce the game? It's obvious that people would buy the game (funding is already over 2000% which proves my case). They've been successful with other tiny epic games and I'm sure they've got a lot of money from those projects so why do they need us? I'm sick of Kickstarter and refuse to back anything on there anymore due to the long wait and being stuffed around in the past. Just make the dam game and sell it retail.
This Tiny Epic series is so boss. Except for maybe Tiny Epic Western; fairly bland, definitely feels uninspired. But "Galaxies", I'll hit that tiny genius up at least four times a week. And who cares if this themed has been used before in other games? By that logic we should no longer be able to create WW2 games, Economic games....you know, games.
This could have been Tiny Epic Anything, but the only thing the designers could come up with was yet another zombie game? Yeah, I'm gonna malign this game just on general principle.
I just find it very lazy as a design choice these days when there are so many untapped or underused themes available. If you don't have a zombie game in your collection, there's already a veritable horde of them on the market; adding one more onto that bloated pile sees diminishing returns at this point. A game that could have reached a wider audience is just another zombie game. My advice to people who are tired of seeing overused themes in games: stop buying them and force designers to come up with novel ideas.
"She found the D"
Im sorry my 12 year old mentality made me chuckle harder then I should have... Love your stuff Rahdo

Health system reminds me of Dark Souls board game.

To be fair, not everyone has so many zombie games or is tired of the theme

ZOMBIE FATIGUE
Adam Lindell I really never played any zombie games. they're kind of a turn off. but the multiple ways to play is intriguing.
