Yep, as an IT contractor who has worked for some Fortune 500 bluechip companies that are bound by shareholder value and profit maximisation first ... this looks like heaven. But I think Linus also asks to deliver. There is no place to hide. Especially like a place like RUclips.
So basically, Linus owns a whole entire company with a game room, Menards/shop room, podcasting rooms, and a whole entire Microcenter. He has an entire apartment for anything I have ever wanted.
I think Linus has a deep appreciation for what all of his departments do! The channel(s) and business(es) have grown incredibly. And, in no small part, because of some amazingly talented people who have put in hundreds of hours of "behind-the-scenes" work! I worked for a small company that had maybe 8 employees at one point and my own manager barely knew what I did during the day, much less the owner. It’s crazy impressive that Linus has stayed so involved in the work of each employee to understand what’s going on in these offices.
Or maybe he’s got his entourage follow him behind the camera and fill in the details before each cut 😜 Just kidding, his geeky enthusiasm clearly shows he knows everyone and everything that’s going on around this building.
To be fair, having 8 employees and not knowing them by name is a pretty big red flag, and that's coming from someone who has a lot of trouble remembering names 😅 . A mill and CNC machine alone are a good chunk of change. Good for him, well deserved.
Unlike say a company like Amazon where Lex Luthor.. mybad.. Bezos could have gave every single employee of his a $125,000 bonus in 2020 and still make a profit...
Linus is better than most, for sure.
@@emperorgizmo3014 Ok woah now sure he is the 2nd riches man but he doesn't have much spending power than Linus since we are talking about billions not tens of thousands
What I love about Linus is that he's obscenely rich, yet he is like "ok bois, how can I make your job life the best I can so you can make quality content". And then he just spends shed tones of money on quality and making his employees happy. Then on top of that, he's a super genuine guy who likes to have a laugh. What an absolute role model.
I'm happy you are still alive
You killed osama bin laden
Ayo?
@@LukeWedel amazing
how come ur at the top of comments when its sorted by most populair lol
riiiiicky
I am just really impressed how you turned a youtube channel in a full-blown company with like 50+ employees
Canada's national tresure
Agreed, crazy how well Linus has structured the company - It wouldn't surprise me if he does white label shoots as the level of equipment they have is AAA standard.
@@KeenJT Don't give Linus too much credit, he's the head, but Yvonne still makes a lot of decisions for Linus, so that he doesn't do stupid stuff alllll the time.
@@landmine36 Hi Yvonne !!
@@landmine36 euhm... isn't that anywhere in the world the same? 😁
Linus looks like the opposite of the Boss that cut corners and say "deal with it" to his employees. He looks like he genuinely cares in how to make their lives and jobs easier and better
The fact he is buying a tormach when they have adequate milling tools says he puts money back for sure. Idk what machine he is getting but the HAAS unit I bought for my house cost about $40k usd i would guess he will drop a similar amount on his
He looks like he is passionate about what he is doing. He loves making this video content and everything else follows from there.
That's mainly because of Yvonne, such a kind hearted person.
@@ranjanbiswas3233 What? yes Yvonne is nice and probably helps, but "mainly because of Yvonne" is basically an insult directed at Linus.
he explicitly said before, he knows what a "normal" boss looks like, and he dosent want to be that to his employees.
Just looking at this and remembering the very first days man i am out of words well i am seeing this post after i saw that other post about there new studio my English just doesn't serve me good enough to really showing my appreciation linus you are the best and thank you very much for this awesome awesome years of content creation this is no doubt the best channel ever created i learned alot i laughed alot you guys are the best ❤️❤️❤️
24:13 "Technical support for the Technical support" - Anthony: "I am 4 parallel universes ahead of you"
Wow
Anthony is a Canadian treasure for sure.
The fact he build every single one of his employee's computers and knows everyone by name. Man, I have nothing but respect for Linus. He should start his own professional gaming team/league lol, the events he could make would be badass.
Probitional employee G or whatever
Except the probationary employees of course, they don’t really matter to anybody
@@victorlei82 Probationary employee *number* G. 😅
@Aditya Bhattacharya Linus explained you need to be in the company for 1 year to be in videos and longer even if you become a host. So they introduce someone first in background of a video and when someone is more known he or she will shown more.
But there are exceptions like Madison. But she was hired when she was already known on the channel.
i couldn't fathom the scale on which your company grew until now. mad respect
With all the new additions like the lab, I love a new version of this tour
I remeber the old days when they used to make their videos in a small house and then moved to the studio and it was a freaking mess with cables, trash and computer parts everywhere.
And now you have this sick studio and a bunch of talented people working hard everyday with you at LTT.
Congrats, to all you guys.
And Luke lived in that small house! It's crazy
Whole Room Water Cooling was one ofthe best series from that house
I still remember when Nicky V enters the office with the pink lambo, and now this.
Time changes so fast. Good job to LMG team.
Aw I miss Nicky V, he was one of my favorites
I still remember when LTT was in a normal house
I remember when the "homey look" was unavoidable because the kitchen was the only part of the old house that was free for you and Luke to host videos..
I love the text on the safety metal battery locker, "If time or safety allows, take a picture for social media"
Freaking goals. So inspired by all of you!
Hello verified person
@@TomokoJinx you're not a tech person aren't you?
Linus will start uploading in HDR at the same time I literally just bought an HDR monitor lol
I remember when this channel had a little over 200k-300k subscribers, and it was just Linus, Luke and maybe Ed and Brandon? It's insane how much the channel, the company and the content has grown during that time.
It's very evident in this video that Linus is tremendously proud of what his team, and him have built since 2013. Congratulations to each and every one of them on that success. May it continue forever more.
The go so crazy fast! I can still remember when we worked at ncix and doing this on the side with
I love how he evolved from a small tech RUclips channel run from home, to a full company with dozens of employees, and still manage to make the videos feel homey and close to the audience.
Thanks in great part of course to the writing and editing teams that achieve that.
And the workshop is AMAZING. Congrats Alex to having the job all Mech. Engineers with pc knowledge aspire to.
Man i was just having goosebumps by the sheer number and size of the equipments
I was just simply mesmerised.
