I love how almost every employee has more than one monitor. That goes to show how good is when the bosses understand their employees work. My boss refuses to give me an extra monitor for work because he doesn't "understand" why I need a second monitor (I work with video editing).
wha- you poor thing- if I was you I would have brought my own monitor... I even remember in Terran's 4-hour video tutorial he specifically said that you need at least two monitors- I don't know whether to laugh or cry reading this.
Your boss is just a cheap bastard lol
Apply to LMG
I work in software development and we all have a second monitor at work (mostly for having google open on the side to search up code we are supposed to know). I cannot imagine the pain if I had to do my job on one monitor, it would be so frustrating.
Some of my colleagues at work don't have even a proper desk and work station. And that's with some people working from home. And we're understaffed in some departments too...SMH
I love how they started off filming videos in a house, built a massive expensive studio, and then after a few years of trial and error, made it look like a house.
They never built their studio. They purchased it in a warehouse strip mall in British Columbia.

The irony is, you start off filming in your house. Grow the channel, get a studio, then spend thousands to build a set to make it look like your house.
Yes, he said that himself even, in the studio tour with Gamers Nexus
Because there's could be actually some psychology reason behind it, they want their viewers to feel homey when watching the videos.
That's the reason why lots of viewers love the kitchen set so much when they still on the Langley house, so they brought out again as a "Kitchen Set" in the new studio.

When the boss enters the workshop you always end up restarting the count of days without accident
Two things that I will never be bored with:
1. Firing Colton
2. Linus dropping things, even on himself.
But in all seriousness, this a real success story - from NCIX employee, to LMG owner. Congrats man.
Okay I was wondering about his comment about Colton! Is that a reoccurring joke??
Wait is Colton gone?
@@KJAYG Yes, it is more often in older videos, there's a part of "Honest answers" (ep. 4) i think it was named "What is it like to work for Linus" where the source behind that is a bit more explained
@@thumphrey2004 No, he isn't, it's a joke that started a long time ago (with a real problem where he almost deleted their channel or sth like that - more explanation in the video I've mentioned above) but hasn't been made in a while but is reoccurring more often again lately.
@@KJAYG Linus has "fired" Colton about 60 times on different videos.
Honestly one of the most ballin' studio office setups I've ever seen.
Just watching all Linus show off these lights, grip, and rigging equipment just makes me so happy. I love the not so sketch goalpost setup for the camera for short circuit. 10/10
I love how Linus, the owner and boss of the company, is scared of getting in trouble from his staff for leaking things.
This sounds counter intuitive, but thats as it should be.
While joked up for the video that is sign of good management/ownership though. You might own the place but you empowered other people to keep tabs on stuff so that there is always somebody with the power to stop you from ruining things.
Id love to see the office when its fully staffed and working, just to see how all this amazing equipment and staff work together... and to see the real Linus... can any boss be this good? showing respect to employees! lol
The fact he respects their work and input enough to make a comment like that, even if it is joking, shows that he doesn't have a huge ego just because he owns the company. I'm sure alot of his employees are happy, even with the stress of making 7 high quality videos a day like they have been between all the channels. Their setups are insane and very well thought out. All the quality of life changes that they have made to everything is a sign of Linus wanting to make that place the most effecient and comfortable enviroment for this people to pump out all that content as fast as they do. Alot of employers should follow this model. I know its a smaller company, but for some companies to pretend they don't have th resources to get their employees necessary equipment for their jobs is pretty sad. Especially when they are making millions of dollars throughout the month. LTT really has came a long way man.
Friendly work space is the reason. They're all friends
Dang, Colton once again fired on camera. Linus really shows his benevolence when he immediately re-hires him after each video.
Has he surpassed Luke already?
lol
Who says he rehires him?
Never rehired. They just keep forgetting to deactivate his pass.
And keep forgetting to not give him money.

Do you even expect them to have fashion designers?

I worked for a small company that had maybe 8 employees at one point and my own manager barely knew what I did during the day, much less the owner. It’s crazy impressive that Linus has stayed so involved in the work of each employee to understand what’s going on in these offices.
Or maybe he’s got his entourage follow him behind the camera and fill in the details before each cut 😜 Just kidding, his geeky enthusiasm clearly shows he knows everyone and everything that’s going on around this building.
To be fair, having 8 employees and not knowing them by name is a pretty big red flag, and that's coming from someone who has a lot of trouble remembering names 😅 . Having worked for a bunch of smaller companies I definitely think Linus is doing a good job, but this isn't and shouldn't be "crazy impressive".

What are you talking about, they have a fricken engineering department they could almost run two other biz inside the media group on the side doing parts engineering for other companies at this point.
@@scootpoyo9734 for live sports yea lol
Man I have been watching on and off for years and I did not even really like youtube never mind your channel , but thank you for keeping a 53 year old computer geek the joy and wonderful Tech tips over the years Keep it up what a very down to earth "regular " guy your like the cool friend i have not met yet ! love you guys !! RetroRad68
I really love to see that like the original guys are now promoted and in higher positions.
Man I love probationary employee G.
Why can’t they show their faces?
@@Pokeman_official1 Yes.
@@Pokeman_official1 so the audience wont get attach to the probation employee in the event they got release
@@Pokeman_official1 i think its for their "safety". If they not get the job after all their reputation isn't destroyed
@@Pokeman_official1 i think it's bc they are still not a permanent employee, but idk.
Linus really has invested most of his money back into his company and it shows in this tour
A mill and CNC machine alone are a good chunk of change. Good for him, well deserved.
Unlike say a company like Amazon where Lex Luthor.. mybad.. Bezos could have gave every single employee of his a $125,000 bonus in 2020 and still make a profit...
Linus is better than most, for sure.
@@emperorgizmo3014 Ok woah now sure he is the 2nd riches man but he doesn't have much spending power than Linus since we are talking about billions not tens of thousands
lol he went from looking happy to miserable after hitting his face. Just kinda funny how the vibe changed so fast.
Good work Bro You have worked hard for all this for a long Time a True OG.
For some reason I feel proud of Linus, he started as a small youtuber who worked for a company and now look at him now, a big youtube channel with a big office with a ton of employees, and on the top of that remains humble and down to earth at least from what I can see.Congratulation on your success Linus, keep up on making a great contents !
What I really wanna know is how he decides on great candidates to hire. Bad hiring practices can easily mess up a company big time.
@@arnox4554 Considering he has "potential" new employees on probation for a certain period of time to see how they fair working at LTT, I'd say their employee picking process should be fine if they're doing probationary employees at all.
@@arnox4554 I think their method is just similar to other companies in Canada but more strict with probation stuff since they are a media company which known well globally.
They must follow the rules that stated by the government and they also do not give any candidates special treatments.
Even Madison also followed the standard hiring rules regardless so many LTT fans begging her to be hired. But she didn't have any probation stuff since her job is pretty connected to public which is Social Media Coordinator.
But there's one exception for Riley which is Linus' friend and because Linus knows him so well on NCIX (he is literally Linus' apprentice when he was on NCIX), so he immediately became employee for Linus.
Linus is one of the few business people that at least from what he's said, he cares about his employees. He wants them to make good money to be able to get homes within a decent amount of time etc. by building such a good environment like that people tend to want to stay because it's great place to be.
@@mokubakaiba1751 from reading about their work culture lol do you seriously think people would be staying there if he was like one of these corporate CEOs that only think in terms of dollar signs? im not saying he's everyones friend but he runs the business right and you can tell because of his success. its not about him being a celeb at all
Would not be a Linus video without him dropping something, the fact that the item dropped landed on his face is just the cherry on top.
It's amazing to see how the channel and Linus has grown over the years !
Just watched this and the 2014 tour back to back, the difference is basically night and day
This dude takes youtube video production to the next level
Which is crazy because a lot of channels do such a better job with a lot less people and space.
Can you name them?
It's like tv production but here in RUclips
MKBHD: "Allow me to introduce myself"
MrWhoseTheBoss is 1 person
Linus: “A proper room for colour grading, for HDR”
the twelve people with HDR monitors watching RUclips: “noice.”
Meanwhile in New Zealand, in the middle of nowhere using a fiber line to the home.... "Whaka YEAH!"
I'll for sure save some of the more involved videos to watch on my OLED if they are uploading in HDR. The current video uploads already look great on it, so adding HDR will be pretty damn cool.
A lot more than 12 on this channel lol
Everyone with a modern phone will have a hdr display in their pocket. Even the iPhone X from like 2017 has one
Any new high range smartphone has an HDR screen now
Its incredible how big this has grown. So much money invested. So cool.
Linus and the team.....you guys do an amazing job and deserve all the success.....ps- love the new office
Man, I’ve watched Linus since he was a wee lad at NCIX making very sincere yet awkward tech videos. Now he’s a successful dad-joke-making entrepreneur. I feel proud of the guy.
Me too. I feel like I've grown right alongside him. He's almost the same age as me, maybe just a little older.
ikr! me too
Is this one of the writers ideas? I mean you can just steer the narrative like this, but he is still technically a corporation regardless what he spews.
Been watching since 2012 or 2013. I don't know where all the time has gone. I am amazed with how far you guys have come. I have to say seeing this many employees makes me nostalgic for when it was just a few of you. Not because I think the content was better at that time, but just because it reminds me of the times as a teenager where I could come home, watch ltt, and not have to worry anything. I do have to say the Linus you changed my life. I'm now going into a career in computer engineering almost solely inspired by you. So well I am nostalgic for those times as a teenager, I'd like to think that as your channel grew you brought me and a lot of your other subscribers with you and we now get to work in the tech industry, which I know for me seemed like a pipe dream when I was a teenager. Thank you
Geez, that's so wholesome I LOVE IT
@@alinapaasz1841 stop it now, you do this under every comment
