I could honestly watch these videos all day, theres something so relaxing and chill about a pov drive while telling stories. Great video dude!
Thanks so much for the comment. I’ll have another one out in a couple of days!
I have a mint condition 1991 EF (Si model) in teal. After 32 years of loving this car, I am THOROUGHLY convinced that there is no better car at ANY price!
Do dx have an ef chassis? Im looking to buy an si and from what I’ve read is that all si’s are ef hatch but I’ve heard people heard people call a dx a ef. Im confused.
@@josegarza7719 Yes, the chassis are nearly the same, but only the Si and above came with the sunroof.
@@Maplecook do not exactly the same but almost? What’s the difference?

you are great guy my friend, very happy that i found this video ! very informative and friendly ! thank you, wish there were more honest video makers like you ! ))))
I would love to find another '91, but you can't find them for sale anymore. In the rare occasion I do come across one, someone is wanting an astronomical amount for it.
My favorite thing to do in my EF is take them type of turns and corners too! I absolutely love my car and it is so fun and the way it grips on the road and sort of digs into the sharp turns!
I love my 90 hatch too. I have had it 17years now. My front window is delaminating the same way on the sides.
Just came across this vid. I will say this, welcome to the family. I'll say another thing too, if you don't know yet, that haze on the hedge of your windshield, it's because you have moisture there. Also, maybe look for a quieter exhaust. I'll have to look at the previous and current videos now.
the haze on my windshield is primer from when they repainted this car unfortunately, they didnt make everything off properly!
@@maxbriscoegarage you sure? If it's just primer a straight razer would just be able to scrape it off. Keep an eye on it. Its winter time for you
Mine looks the same and yes, I see where moisture is getting in the broken seal. I think it is the two layers of glass delaminating.
@@TheCarnager from what some people have told me. It's the rubber window seal that's messed up. Usually see this with a window replacement. Like they didn't put enough rubber seal on or it wasn't prep right
The only thing to dislike about EF's is that unless you have an Si, you have to do a MPFI (Multi-Point Fuel Injection) swap before you can accomodate a VTEC engine; ideally an OBD0 B16a since it was designed to fit the EF and the EF was the first Civic to have them along with the Integra DA6.
i personally have owned 2 of these, both were 1991s. the first one i got was a ef sedan, which i still own. The second, was a si hatch. both are great and i want to manual swap my sedan. people always comment on it saying its cool to see something so nostalgic on the road.
great vid lad, really enjoyed it
What suspension are you running ?
loving the vids
maybe u should a car tour and upgrades and keep us updated! :)
Sounds like a great idea!
I love my 91 Civic SI but I bought for my wife back in 95 and then took it from her in 01. And then started building it in 01. It was pretty hard before the internet. I had parts in crates come over from Japan with took like 6 months to get here had it a full build nitrous engine in it now it's a full build turbo engine that I built back in 09. They are great cars
I was born in 1990 so I’m trying to get a 90 ef hatch. Love these cars. See how much power you can get all motor and film the process. I’ve already watched every civic build I can find. Especially the all motor builds.
I have a question, do all dx have an ef chassis? I know si have a moonroof but I’ve seen some dx with a moon roof and the tachometer. I’m confused
Nice man, I was born in 99 and my EK was made the month before I was born. I've aged a little better than it has.
Had a 1st gen integra for a first car, loved the go kart feel. Recently sold it for a 88 celica, and honestly I'm wanting to go back. The car is soft and comfortable, and feels like a real car, which is nice, but the little hondas are just so much fun. The feeling you described of the car being completely predictable. If I can sell the car I'll be getting an ef hatch for sure
Also love that beyond the fun, they're very practical as well
Very true! Always wanted an integra as well!
88 celica 102 mph in 3rd . 1.8 running with a h22 at 80 to 110. Miss that car.
What kind of seats you got in that beast?
One NRG bucket seat from my old car and another 06 si seat the previous owner put in
Im picking up an amazing example of the EF hatch. No rust and 60,000 miles. And yes it is priced like how you would think it is. But i love these cars and i dont care!
They are very fun cars!
I just picked one up for $700 ef hatch with 73000ks on her
Lucky
My eg hatch would gap that all day
It doesn't matter....that's not why he bought the car.
If you like driving try out an old bimmer
Bro thinks these Hondas are cheap...MFS want >$6000k
