- Got a new GoPro and wanted to do a quick test video of the H22 Civic. off the bat, the all seasons are not happy. The engine is pretty tired but it still gets down. Diff is starting to make a bit of noise so a full engine/trans refresh is due. If you read this far, thanks for watching.

I appreciate the kind words! I have taken the G37 to Streets of Willow a couple times and ran a 1:30 on the small course. Have also been to Apple Valley Speedway. The Civic will be on track once I make a couple of modifications

Damn Ian! My name is Ian too, and guess what I have an H22 civic as well! Except mine is a 99 civic lx 4dr. But man you were gettin’ it, that H22 didn’t seem tired to me. What trans do you have? Your gearing seems a lot shorter than mine
It’s a JDM H22A with a matching LSD trans. I think it’s tired cause the valvetrain gets really ticky on decel and warm idle
@@ian.v36 yeah the lma’s are probably the cause of that. But still pulls hard! I was thinking you had a b16 trans with how short the gears are. But badass man, I love canyon runs!
@@DiamondDetailingBuzz actually I put in the later model spring LMA’s in mine and set the valve lash to spec. It still ticks a bit 😵💫
@@ian.v36 I know injectors can be loud and clicky especially if they are over sized. But hey if it’s running good then whatever

A mountain in “mexico” it’s something like Angeles Crest
In Assetto: literally right from the main freeroam pits. Going right, uphill to Redbox picnic area, then back down passed the pits again, heading towards Clear Creek.
Real life: Look up Los Angeles National Forest, Scenic Turnout #2. Just next to ladybug canyon.
Need to dial that handling in a lil more... Kinda scary that's all the cornering your car has!

What shifter cables you running?
I was thinking about ktuned cables.
I have only had the car for about 8 months with the swap. 5th gear grinds sometimes and hasn’t changed much. I was on the ebay ktuned rep shifter and cables for a bit and didn’t like it much at all. I am currently running an RSX Hybrid Racing Shifter as well as OEM RSX shifter cables with the hybrid cable bushings. I like this setup and have no complaints with it.
I do like the B series transmissions but I can’t say I have experience with an H2B setup
front end looks heavy, what the hell is in there?
It’s got a jdm H22A engine and trans. Came out of a prelude basically but only 25 lbs heavier than a b series w trans!
@@ian.v36 hmm, are you on all seasons? Seems like a lot of push understeer, or could just be the super slow steering rack. Seems like a lot of steering angle for not much turn-in.
@@Cichlid_Visualsthe steering rack seems a little loose but the all season do not help on it. I want to do an integra rack and subframe conversion
@@ian.v36 definitely do the Integra rack it makes such a huge difference, especially without power steering. Yes most of that is the all seasons then. Not bad in that case considering it's H swapped. On some summer tires with the integra rack it will stick like glue and with much less turn in.
