The glitter grout from the tiktok doesn't look like actual grout. It looks like a glitter silicone sealant because it's a clear base with glitter through it and you don't get clear grout

Hey!! Try adding gold mica powder! I think this will add the pigmentation you are looking for if you try to make your own from scratch again. It may be pricey, but I think it’s your best bet. You could use mica powder in conjunction with glitter if you like the chunky glitter look.

It is an epoxy-based grout. They most likely bought a clear one and added in the gold glitter. I know the brand Bostik has is and the blue and copper versions look bomb! Mia, I would love for you to succeed in this because it would look so fun!

Did some research and it def looks like the wellmade glitter grout additive . Watched a video where she mixed her grout powder with the glitter additive mixed in and it came out beautiful! especially the dark one
I definitely hope you keep up the search! Maybe you could create some cute mosaics to test out more glitter grout options. You could test them out without so much commitment, and you could have some super cute art pieces afterwards!
Mia should get tile samples so she can try a bunch of glitter grouts and not have to sacrifice anymore walls or floors.
Honestly, the glitter grout in the tik tok video does not even look like grout. It's too liquid-y and smooth. My best bet is that they used a whole lot of glitter glue paste (similar to the texture of DOMS gold glitter tube- as it kind of dries down hard as well). So we cannot rule out the possibility that it isn't grout at all!
I believe it’s silicone glittered….they are using a silicone spreader…which is because the product is sooo thin.

It's Nadamoo Epoxy grout in glitter gold. The product comes in tubes and the 2 parts mix in the applicator tip. They just pumped it onto a plate and used a squeegee to apply it.
@TAE division, I was going to say just that! I am sure this is not grout because it's too smooth and liquid to be grout. The idea that struck me was that it could be texture gel with glitter mixed into it. The sort of thing an artist would use. They sell some amazing coloured texture pastes and gels in India. The stuff in the video looks nothing like any glitter grout I have ever seen. Sorry Mia.

It is Nadamoo Epoxy grout in glitter gold. The product comes in a dual caulk tube and the applicator tip is what mixes it. They pumped it into a plate then used a squeegee to apply it. I know for a fact that is what they used. It's very popular overseas but not as much over here.

You need to try a semi clear grout and put glitter in that! It's really hard for pigments to show up in a harsh colored grout. 💖
Yes exactly what I was going to suggest. I saw they have grout caulk that can be found in clear, I wonder if she used some nice quality glitter if she could somewhat recreate the look. Probably just a misleading Tiktok unfortunately.
That or maybe try a grout that is a yellow ish color so the gold glitter looks more opaque?🤔. Idk if that would work but it makes sense in my head😅

Same. I almost wonder if they didn't even use grout at all but instead a clear sealant/caulk? The general texture seems too smooth and clean (considering there isn't any left on the tiles) for a grout.

Mia the tiktok video is a scam, they actually used silicon with glitter to fake it 😂 But you can actually make it at home using clear/semi clear grout with the glitter of your choice or buying grout with the same or similar color of the glitter you chose ❤️❤️ Hope it helps and you finally can have a glittery home

Mia, there are transparent grouts with which you can mix the glitters. By doing this, I believe you can get a glittery grout like on that tiktok. When glitter is mixed with white grouts, it isn't showing up that great.

For the record, we have glitter grout in my mom's kitchen. It's not gold, we picked silver, but it is glittery. We are also Canadian, so there is hope.
I would try talking to some contractors or kitchen and bath renovation stores for advice. They might have more niche products than normal hardware stores.
It might also be a good idea to get some tile samples that you can test out the grout on first. That way you don't have to buy large quantities without knowing if it's going to look the way you want, and you don't have to worry about having to redo an entire floor or wall if it doesn't look the way you had hoped.

I FOUND IT. Although what I found is epoxy based… I did find the TikTok of them advertising their product and it’s called epoxy tile grout, their brand is called perflex. All you have to look up is their brand and you’ll be able to find what I’m talking about. Hope this helps😁

I also believe its this!! The perflex is the way Mia should go! Because on the tiktok it seemed they put a blob to the side then spread instead thick consistency that grout tends to be like!

I've seen something like the glitter grout in Germany, but as a silicone sealant. There was a floor sample and the color/glitter was very vibrant. Maybe you can look for a silicone sealant instead of grout, since grout normally contains cement and other materials that are more opaque. Even though the results weren't what you were expecting, I think it still turned out nice!

So, I was looking into it, and StarlikeEVO Epoxy grout has gold and different colors. They even have mixes for glass and clear tiles. I would look there. It has been a fun journey seeing you look for glitter grout. Made me search for something I didn't know I needed

I feel like glitter grout sounds cool on paper but quickly becomes messy and hard to clean
its crazy how ive seen u literally ever i guess we just watch the same youtubers lol
The real glitter grout has wierd texture after dried out. It's easy to clean but it's becoming darker and looking not so shiny and pretty. All in all not worth the money. I like the simplest grout which you can replace any time.

No matter how much glitter you put in, it will only be as glittery as you want is if you added enough extra, making it unusably dry bc its so packed with glitter lol. Otherwise a clear grout (if that exists) will be the only thing that works

I think that I watched Evan and Katelyn try something like this, but not with grout. They had to add some of their vast collection of glitter into what they were testing, because the glitter that it came with didn't show up at all. I have a memory with a mind of its own, as it were, so I may be totally wrong about all of the above, but I may be right too. Love you Mia, you are a great representative for our beautiful Canada.

I think the base grout needs to be a yellow-ish color in order to get that completely opaque glitter look, at least that's what the original looks like

i just finished my bathroom with regular white grout and then i mixed 3types of glitter with silicone calk. thats what they used in the video. ive also tried to use quick cure resin but it has too many bubbles and looks strange. hope this helps.

Have you thought of getting sample or small tubes of different grout ranging from opaque to translucent and adding different chunk sized glitter to small potions of it? Also buying glitter: glue, silicon, and caulk and see which one looks most similar to the TikTok (adding glitter to whichever products aren’t already “glitterfied”)?

The white crystal glitter (I also used this myself in my kitchen a few years ago) does come in a bunch of colours, including gold. In Canada the hardware stores seem to only carry that one colour though.

The one in video is clear floor epoxy mixed with golden glitter i guess or at least what it looks like because the consistency is not grout. Hopefully try mixing blue glitter in clear epoxy it's actually adorable.

Mia, I have a degree in art and (to me) the clip of the glitter grout looks so much like gold acrylic paint!
Maybe she should add some paint
Clear base(like clear silicone for chalking or clear coat paint). Add gold mica powder, fine glitter and if you want chunky glitter add that too. Also add it on top of a base layer of normal grout.
Kastar tile grout sealant looks the best to what you want. Or use glitter additive with a silicone sealant to make it pop!🎉
