while some people film themselves doing stupid dangerous things and post it online on purpose, Mia is cutting off the video so we don't replicate her cutting wood cuz it might not be safe, gotta love a person this cautions with how she influences others
i guess it's more because she isn't super keen on justifying herself all the time because the whole comment section would be filled with "OMG girl, you might have died" or "that's not safe, just saying" or "if you can't do it safely by yourself, why not let it be made by a carpenter" and so on and so on... such goodie two shoes comments by people half my age would make me REALLY mad, so THAT is the reason she didn't want to show... fully legit!:)

Think she’s trying to avoid a lawsuit too lolol can you imagine someone literally saying “we’re not doing things correctly but we kinda know what we’re doing” (seems like her dad is in carpentry or something in that matter) and some NOOB SLOB copies her then tries to sue? No thank you internet!
That makes no sense. She told us she was going to cut it and there are tons of videos online of people cutting wood. If someone was dead set on doing what she did, they could just look up ways to cut wood, which would accomplish the same thing as her just showing how to do it herself and if she doesn't know how to do it correctly, then she shouldn't be telling people that she does if anyway(following her own logoc) because someone else could follow her example.
Mia really is the whole package, huh?? Gorgeous, smart, funny, cooks, bakes, sews, crochets, does amazing make up, has really unique style and taste, is kind and generous, always stays true to herself and does the damn flooring by herself (and not only that, also paints, knows how to use various tools etc). Stewart is a lucky guy!

I've been watching Mai for years and my grandma found her over lockdown, and since my grandma discovered that I watch Mai every time I come over to her house she gets so excited to talk with me about the latest episode. Mia is so cool and I'm glad she brings me and my grandma closer.

hi mia!! just a little tip for next time you’re working on floors, sometimes the mallet can damage the wood, my dad uses a small wooden block over it and hits that instead of directly hitting the floor. just a little tip if you ever noticed them warping slightly from the mallet.
That wooden block is very helpful and doesn't damage the wood. I also just laid a wooden floor and this wooden block was a real lifesaver.
I'm not to sure if you should have put away the baseboard while laying the floor. I did it and it was a lot easier.

Hi Mia, just to let you know that you should have removed the baseboards before installing the wood flooring because it makes life easier for getting the flooring closer to the walls and you would be able to use smaller quarter round trim along the walls because your baseboard would cover the ends of the flooring
My dad is a flooring and carpet fitter and he said a mallet is fine as long as its made of rubber
How I immediately knew that it wasn’t Mama Maples helping her lift the dresser like a minute in because she definitely would have laughed.

I know I was bummed to not see that on the final reveal but I assume it was a super warm blanket, and since she told us it took 6+ months, it makes sense she had to get into something a bit lighter for the spring & summer. But I do wish she chose another bright & bold bedding look. But obv that doesn’t effect the drastic glow up of the room. Lol.
Your room renovations always make me feel like ok, I can tackle my own projects I’ve been telling myself I’m not capable of doing….. so for that Thanks girl!

I remember when she got the cottage core quilt in Hawaii, so maybe it reminds her of her fun trip. I think she could make it work if the pillows were reworked. They super bright flower pillow really matched the previous colorful bedding well, and the very dark lumbar pillow somehow disrupts the bedding. But it’s her room so she should have what she wants. Just my two cents :)

a lot of the renovation videos were filmed a while ago. like mia keeps saying stuff is low stock bc of covid which is no longer an issue & she was wearing a winter coat when they went to home depot & i doubt she’s wearing a heavy winter coat in may
I love it! I was however disappointed to see different bedding in the finished product. I loved the first ones you put on! They really complimented and brought out the green walls!
I think that the 1st bedding was most likely for winter and now it is spring.

Genuinely CANNOT wait for a fully renovated house tour! I know it’ll take a bit, take your time but when it comes out I will drop everything to watch because your style is so my aesthetic and unique! Not many houses to look at and say “that’s what I want” so I love it! Especially you designing and renovating yourself!

I believe that this house will be Mia's big book of memories for life. Everything she is doing right now will not only be on recorded and posted but later on she will be able to just stand there and look around reminiscing all she did to turn it to what it is (at that moment) with a broad smile and heartwarming feelings. All the laughs and funny moments she spent with her beloved ones are imprinted in every inch and it will last as long as she does in her memory and her heart. That's all that matters in the end, not the journey, not the end result, but the lasting memories.

OMG the amount of talent Mia has to add flouring, make a bed board, change a closet door, customize a room, paint walls and hang a curtain. And I loved it that Mia’s fiancé/ the man she’s getting married to, is helping her with the thing that she loves to do! I wish you the best girlie🤍 and I love the room too! I also thought they lived together, but I noticed Mia always just refers to to it as "her house" and "her bedroom" as opposed to "our bedroom", and the bed was pushed up against the wall, so only one side was openly available for someone to climb into, unless they're climbing over each other lol.

It's all in the details! The door handles, the lemon pillow, the colorful bedspread. The floral pattern reminds me of the guestroom at my mom's in the 1970's, it was gorgeous. She did the hall/guest bath to match.😊

I can’t get over how respectful, responsible, and willing to try new things this woman is. I always know she’s willing to get things done herself but I’m always impressed with her ability to successfully try new tasks and learn how to do things most would be scared to do. Most RUclipsrs are aloof and aren’t aware of how their bad decisions affect their followers but Mia is always aware of what she’s doing and what she’s putting on the internet and it shows. I absolutely loved this video. I love all of Mia's videos, but this one really struck a cord with me. Watching Mia and Stuart creating their personal space in the house, makes me think of The Carpenters song "We've Only Just Begun". It's all about a young couple getting married, and starting their lives together. A beautiful song, for a beautiful couple.

I love the quartz handles. Those are soooo cute! :P Also I'm loving all the ming and sage vibes. Latelly its been green and pink for me as well!
For future reference it's much easier to install that floor by sliding the long side in, then backing it up to the edge of the board it's joining. Also there's a tool (like a plastic block) that makes it easier to pound it in with, hitting the boards with the mallet can chip them
For anyone thinking of doing this flooring and may read this: it is good to do it in the direction Mia did it from a big wall to the closet as it gives you more practice cutting boards rather than doing the trickier closet ones at the beginning. Also good for if you can use scrap pieces towards the end of the project in the closet rather than having all those small scrap pieces visible along a long length of wall very out in the open

ahh mia this came at the perfect time for me, i've been seriously considering re-painting my room (a light sage green haha) and doing maybe a mural of some trees on one wall, as well as changing out some furniture, and this gave me another nudge to just get started already! that closet door thing was super inspiring for me, i've also been designing a tile wall for our kitchen and thinking of changing the cabinets and handles, so those quartz handles gave me lots to think about with that, they're so beautiful! love how your room came out :)

Thank you Mia for being SAFE while renovating! This is a PSA to WEAR A MASK WHILE RENOVATING!! I had an elderly neighbor (who was actually quite fit for her age) get terribly sick from ripping up and placing her own carpet. Then a friend's mom (early 30s) got sick from taking down a dead tree. Both got sick from a type of mold that got into their system/lungs and were visiting the hospitals often then leaving without an answer. At times we can't do all our own renovations but its very important to be safe rather than sorry.
