When I was pregnant with our first child I insisted that we had to repaint what was to be the nursery. It was originally yellow but I kept telling my husband that it was an ugly yellow. I spent days finding the most beautiful yellow. We started painting and it looked exactly like the original color! I insisted that it would dry differently but it didn’t. You couldn’t tell where the new paint started and the old color began. I never lived that one down, lol.

@@laneyhesse8102 I was so stubborn (and a little embarrassed!) that I kept insisting that they were different colors, lol. My husband, being the sweetheart that he is, knew not to argue with a very pregnant lady!

@@shevahauser1780 that was many houses ago but I do remember that we kept it the new/old yellow until we moved. As I mentioned, my husband was very smart not to bring something like that up to a very pregnant wife but we often brought it up in our later years, lol!
I love how she’s forgiving the person that painted the whole house yellow… but I can’t guarantee the next person to own the house is going to forgive you for painting it 5 shades of pastel 😂 It’s so worth it though! I cant wait to see your whole vision come to life

I think it was mostly the insanely tall yellow ceilings that she was mad about in that clip. Yellow walls is a forgivable offense, but ceilings and baseboards to match is just awful!
Very true, but she did repaint her previous house (aka studio) before she put it up for sale so this one will be repainted boring white later too.

@@sammulli yes. I feel like the pastel walls and ceiling just solidify the need for a fireplace makeover bc now the browns and yellows look bad against it. She should either do some white large scale tile, white shiplap, or like a painted patterned pastel tile on it. Or even a combo, like do the patterned tiles until a mantle then do white shiplap to save money and make the knot easier!!!
Also the fact the it is not like every renovation taking place today .. all black/grey/white/gold
LOVE THESE COLORS! You should change your light bulbs from warm bulbs to daylight bulbs! It will make your walls pop more 😍😍😍😍😍😍

Honestly I'm impressed with how much you paint your places Mia! I painted my room with the help of my mom and brother and I don't think I could do it again for a very long time because it was exhausting and so much work!
I LOVE THIS. My grandmothers house that I grew up in had every wall painted a different color, everyone called it the crayon box 😅 Definitely one of my favorite childhood memories.
I love when you include your family in your videos, especially your dad. I lost my father a little over a year ago, and your dad reminds me so much of my dad. I binge watched all your renovation videos when it happened last year and they were the only thing that brought a smile to my face at the time and they still continue to. It’s like a look into all the things I would’ve got to experience with my own dad. I really like how the color placement looks together! You chose the right walls to be next to one another! My fav is the green up against the rock. That looks really good.
Love the green wall and sky ceiling. It goes so well with the fireplace stone. The whole room now has a mother Earth nature vibe. Perfect for a well grounded person such as yourself and your family.

I'm still on the fence with all the different colors and the sky ceiling, but I just trust the process. I really like the bubble gum pink and I can't wait to see which wallpaper you're going to use.

Video #10 of asking you to cut your hair shorter because you would look absolutely amazing! not that you don't, but you would look so good with shoulder-length or just a bit shorter hair. And I know you've said if you got enough comments to cut your hair you might do it in one of your past videos. Plus you seem to be getting a bit more adventurous with your hair and I feel like it would be a really fun change for you (Also I know the last place you videoed getting your hair cut said that they could take you to a bleach blonde which would complement your skin tone so well! So if you wanted to do that too.) Love you so much, its amazing what you do!

I really needed this video today! I'm on day 4 of painting my bathroom. I had to use a heat gun to peel all of the trim paint off and I need to go prime all of the trim and paint, but I'd completely lost the will to do it because the prep took SO LONG. I'm ready to get after it now. THANK YOU!

Tip from a painter. You don’t have to spray and wipe everything down just use a clean paint brush and wipe it off!
I love the idea but I would've done even bolder colours because I love bright colours on walls! Super cute though, maybe I'll do something similar if I ever get a house myself haha.
