These are obviously ads from china or scam companies just trying to get you to buy stuff. Half the time, you don’t even get the product. After they get your money, they deactivate their page. You wouldn’t see a normal, well known brand doing this.
I disagree… young people and kids grew up/are growing up in the digital age where we are exposed to filters, photoshop, and ai so it’s sooo easy for me to tell when ads are fake. Especially now, in schools we learn about critical thinking when it comes to anything online whereas older generations are just now learning about these things.
I think you're talking about Anton Fischer and 'team acne' channel. The sad part is, these phoney/scam products STEAL photos and videos of these influencers, who worked hard for years to fight acne. At least in Anton's case, he never agreed to be in advertisments of their products and even consulted lawyers to take them down (imagine your face being in a scam ad with 91 million views on facebook), but it's not possible to get them to stop doing that. Probably some influencers have done the chia seeds trick for sponsorships, and i'm glad that they spoke about it. (If that's what you mean)
In the ad for the cucumber cleanser thing, I actually watched the original video with the couple in the bathroom. In that they were testing products and used poppy seeds to make it look like the original ad and said "this does not work as intended" or something along those lines. The fact that the company used that as part of the advert is hilarious!
Same thing with the lady that appeared after them. And If I remember correctly she made a joke saying what if they copy this. It's funny to see that they are using people who tried and disapproved of their products on their ads
I am so glad that you reviewed the green tea blackhead remover! I have seen that product in so many places and always wondered if it worked. (I don't use Pinterest, Tic Tok, or Instagram), and I have still seen it a lot.💘

True, I think all Social Media platforms should be somehow more responsible for the ads... I also noticed it on RUclips: the first video on the main page always is an ad, but since a few week those ads became obviously scam ads... before it was stuff like hello fresh... now it's some ridiculous "get this for free by answering questions" type of ads...
Reminds me of the time I went to check out a lash growth serum that Instagram kept advertising to me… and I went to the reviews and was SHOCKED to see MY OWN eyeball with my written review for an Amazon eye lash serum on the top of their reviews!! I was like WHAT?!? I never even heard of this product or bought it! And they have ME as a “happy customer” 😭🤣🤣 made a video exposing them and they took it down. Not only did they use mine! But they used OTHER WOMEN’S reviews for other eyelash serums from amazon as well!! They didn’t take the other ones down though just mine 😂
that last product was a real scam. it was completely different than the ad. you received a pump like it was hand soap and the ad shows an aerosol can which is what causes the puffing effect from the foam like you saw in the sink. can't believe they realistically listed that for $20....
Mia being so excited over the pill container being filled is too cute. As for the little labels, my first thought was searching for them on Google and then print tiny.
As a 32E girly, I had gapping at the top too but spill out of smaller sizes. I was finally told by a specialist that this happens bc my boob shape is fuller on the bottom and I should really be wearing balconette or Demi styles!! I now exclusively get balconette bras only and it’s been a total GAME CHANGER.
It is so good that you remind me. When I was younger I used to wear balconette style bras and they fit perfectly. I never knew why and I wore other styles, but they never fit like balconettes would.
I wish that was a sollution to me. Balconettes are often spaced out so much. I can only fit a finger between. Not a whole hand. But balconettes look so pretty, just wish they werent digging in at the front.
Ok, can I just say both Mia and her mom are absolutely GORGEOUS. Like, I can't even comprehend it. Also I love watching videos with both of them, because they have (or at least appear to have) an absolutely beautiful connection. It makes me really sad, because I know I never have and never will have that with my mom, but it's also so healing to watch them interact
Oh my gosh. The bubble cleaner one honestly made me so much more angry then the more obviously scammy ones. I take my cleaning supplies very seriously lol
It's quite obvious that it was a scam cause something that powerful would not be approved for sale at all and it would definitely come with TONS of warnings. If it can melt that much rust in 2 minutes it will 100% melt your skin with it.
I’m a pharmacist and have that exact pill holder on my purse at all times! It just makes my heart happy to know it’s there lol. I make my own labels, but they aren’t cute. Time to upgrade my labels! It’s been a life saver at times! You never know what emergency you’ll have I will say the labels are necessary so you know what is what. FYI- keep prescription meds in their original bottles. If you need an extra for your purse, ask your pharmacist. Don’t leave these in the car or accessible to kids or pets!
Mia, you are literally exactly what I signed up for when I came on to RUclips. You are literally the modern age Jenna Marbles and I could not be more proud of you for that. I don’t know you personally, but I can tell you are a genuine and beautiful person. Thank you for being authentically you, and showing people that it’s ok to do the same. That green facial mask has been a known scam for years, but what makes it even worse is when content creators decided to try it for a joke and add the Chia seeds too, they would then take their videos and add it to the advertisements, making it look like popular reviews of people liking the product. 😤😓
For the medwallet: Just scan pictures in and print on sticker paper. You can resize as needed. I have one of these I use for knitting and sewing supplies! It is totally cute though, and using for pills is a cool idea!
I love that Mia thought that a wart/skin tag remover was the same thing as a dark spot lightening product 🤣 like I don’t think either would work but if they were legit they wouldn’t do the same thing
Loads of people have actually tried it that’s why you see different people in the ads because people knew it was a scam so would try the product to take the Mick out of it but the companies ended up stealing the footage and making out like the product was good and working.
There are masks that will give you that effect but, for the record, I don't think they do anything either. The best way to clear those pores on your nose is manual extractions.
I tried the hismile color correcting serum 🙂 I’m a registered dental hygienist and I can confirm that it does not work. Similar to a purple shampoo, the purple is supposed to bind to yellow pigments and cancel them out, creating a white or lighter appearance. However, this does not work with enamel. The results myself and 5 other coworkers experienced were minimal to none, and any results only seemed to be a trick of the eye lasting only a few minutes after brushing. Save your money!
it is a scam, me and my best friend tried it, i only used it on half of my mouth and she did her whole mouth and it did literally nothing for either of us
The pill one is actually sooo good. Like as a disabled person that has pain, migraines, and different mental illness meds, that looks so useful and I would definitely be just as giddy and excited over it as you are lol Also for your pores, the best skincare product I have ever used wasn't even skincare, it was head & shoulders... yes, the shampoo. It makes my face feel SO smooth and clean and no ither product has made my NOSE feel as smooth and clean as head & shoulders. Definitely recommend.
Mia, someone has probably already said this, but if you really want to get that pan clean, use oven cleaner. Spray oven cleaner on the discolored areas, cover those areas with plastic wrap (keeps it from drying out), do some stuff for an hour or two, then come back and wipe it off. (Important edit: big thanks to @mooncow728 in the replies for reminding everyone- myself included- to WEAR GLOVES when working with oven cleaner. That stuff is no joke.) I do understand, though, if you'd prefer to keep it for reference for any cleaning products. Sometimes, you gotta commit to the bit!
I was *just* writing another comment on how the bubble cleaner was the biggest bummer and I wish I could find something to assist with the bottoms of pans! [Sometimes elbow grease just doesn't feel like enough]. I've seen the plastic wrap trick *in* the oven, but didn't think of using it on pans! And then I read your comment and! Awesome idea -- Thank you so much!! 😊
@mooncow728 I will have to add gloves to the list when I get the oven cleaner! I'm notorious for not wearing gloves when scrubbing D: Thank you so much for saving my hands!
Damn, @mooncow728 out here saving lives and hands. Thank you for correcting my oversight down here in the replies! I'm going to make an edit to my original as well.
That green tea face mask has been around for 2 or 3 years at least. Depending on where the ad is it costs $10 to $20. I found it for $7.00 at Walmart last year. My daughter swears it works like a cooling facial for her. I've never seen a blackhead removed by it. ❤ Update: those are chia seeds, not blackheads!
The original one was from Milk Make-up 6y ago and got scam-ad copied to wish within a few months. Lots of big creators tested it. My brain tells me Safiya once tested it but finding that video isn't easy so my memory could be wrong on that
@@sirtsupirtsuoh really?! My dad bought some of those green tea rollers (bless him haha) and I tried it once and nothing happened so I never touched it again. But if it actually does some positive things might as well use it!
@@Ayzlxn Yes, you can definitely use them up. Check the ingredient list of your products. I am not sure which version of this stick your dad bought. But if it has kaolin clay in it, it is just a overpriced fancy clay mask. Green tea is also benefitial ingredient for the skin - anti inflammatory (good for acne), soothing, may reduce sebum production. For oily skin clay masks help to temporarily to mattify the skin and absorb up the oil. The clay does not go deep into the pore neither does it pull out blackheads - but it will soak up some oils from very top of pores. You must definitely use a moisturizer afterwards though - otherwise your skin is dry and tight and will start to overproduce oil to compensate the sudden dryness. So definitely moisturize afterwards. And when you wash it off - do not scrape your face with dry towel like in video :D First soak it with water, so it breaks up and softens and then wash it off gently with water.

as a girl who wears 36DD bras i also get that gap problem. i’ve found that bras with removable straps that you can crisscross along the back work really well for stopping the gap problem
That's such a good idea. I have a (small?) D cup and I always feel like D cup bras are too big because of that gap but when I've sized down the C cups has just been too small
@@sarahsweetbloodyou could try a different band size! for example, a 34 D cup is NOT the same as a 36 D cup! like the actual size of the cup is different even though they're both Ds so the cup difference between the smaller band size might fit better than the jump between D to C in your current band size :)
@@st8ofgray I wanted to comment something similiar! Either try a a smaller band size. Or let's say you have a 36D then try a 38C. It's supposed to be cross soze or whatever they call it. But I made the experience that they fit a bit different still.
The tags/mole remover looks like a tooth whitening product with the packaging. For the Turmeric oil and their reviews, I bought off a website years ago (was recommended it). I received the 3 products I ordered (a body soap bar, a shampoo bar, and a body butter). The next day after using the products, I was broken out in a pretty severe rash and hives all over my body. I have never had this reaction to anything before. I figured out it was the body butter since it was the only thing I didn't wash off and I'm guessing it was babassu oil in it since I had never used that before or heard of it. I tried a little bit on another part of my body as a skin test and that specific part did break out ever worse. When I posted a review on Facebook and their website, both were removed pretty quickly. The company contacted me via email (which I still have) and told me I could buy another one of their body butters to test out that didn't contain either the ingredients they said I was probably having a reaction to (shea butter which I'm not allergic to and sunflower oil which I'm not allergic to). They didn't really do much else so I didn't take them up on the offer of buying another product and wasting my money with this company. Their website only has 4 and 5 star reviews (I'm guessing they remove anything less than 4 stars which is super shady; I tried posting my review again not that long ago and it did appear posted for a couple of minutes and then it was removed).
Kaolin was one of the top ingredients in that face mask. It’s a clay which absorbs oil. That’s likely why it felt so drying. You need to remove it with water, either in the shower or by using a wet cloth / paper towel. If you have dry or reactive skin, I wouldn’t recommend using it, or at least not very often. Hope that helps! ☺️
I'd be worried about putting any sketchy chemical product on my skin, you both have my respect for trying it lol. (The only thing that turmeric oil will remove is my life as the hives consume me.)
ok but the pill case is actually a dopamine rush. I mean its so organized, and neat, and- I don't even know, just compact, cute and makes taking medication a bit better.
The pill organizer ad showed that one of the compartments had a skull...what's in there? Poison for your enemies? 😂 Thanks for risking your cc info for us, yet again, Mia. ❤
Sometimes I forget most of the world doesn't use blister packaging for medication. I was sitting here going "why would I spend so much time popping out all the pills just to put them in a container that isn't even air tight?" Then I remembered that medication can come in bottles too
@@RR4711literally 95% of medication I've ever been prescribed is in a blister pack. I have also had the same medication with one brand putting it in a bottle and another brand in blister strips. Generally though they are in blister packs as its less difficult to take too many because its sooo much effort to take out the packet lmao
Turmeric is actually amazing for fading dark spots and hyperpigmentation but it takes time and multiple applications. I’m not sure how it works in oil form though most people use the powder.
I looked up some peer reviewed scientific studies on turmeric a oil. It does look like it retains a lot of the same compounds as the powder itself, and has some good response as an antii-inflammatory (at least comparable to aspirin and diclofenac.) it also retained anti microbial (bacterial and fungal.) the main issue noted was potential receptor competition with EPA\EHA with fish oil when taken internally, but I suspect that maybe just be how its components work for its anti-inflammatory properties. Couldn’t find much on sundamage with the exception of one where they used the essential oil diluted with ethanol (1, 5, and 10% dilution) on hairless rats with UVB damaged skin. Tissue samples showed improvements under pathology examination, and the study concluded it could be used in skincare formulas as a functional additive. I found another one that noted it can improve lesions in chronic plaque psoriasis when using a 1% gel preparation. I don’t know how it compares to products that say they do the same thing, but I think there’s enough science behind it to say… yah, a properly made extraction may serve functional purposes for treatment. I have a dog with skin issues that I believe is either a form of eczema or psoriasis. Fish oil is helping, but just not quite enough. If it smells better than fish oil, I’d be tempted to try applying a gel preparation in between her medicated baths to her worst affected areas, when I can distract her for long enough for it to be absorbed into the skin.

MIA! To clean your pan, buy some CLR (Calcium Lime Rust remover)! CLR is wizard magic powerful stuff. If you have stubborn rust spots and/or streaks on glass that nothing gets rid of, CLR will probably still get rid of it. My mom spent three days trying to clean the same couple windows and could not get the water spots to go away. I told her on Day 1 to use CLR and she just wouldn't do it. Finally, Day 3 she used CLR and *POOF* clean windows. Just don't use it on nonstick teflon pan surfaces or anything like that. That probably wouldn't be good. And don't use it on countertops, because clearly it eats minerals and will probably mess up the surface of your counter. I really use it all the time.
I was getting those ads for the small boob bras for WEEKS and I am absolutely not the target audience lmao. So many places don't even go up to the cup size I need and it's a struggle. I felt so attacked by that ad :')
SAME it made me so mad. I was like, oh ya just rub it in my face that I have these stupid boobs and have to spend 100$+ on one bra that ive miraculously found fits my band and cup size THANKS
@@linesmakeshapesTrust me, bras are no cheaper on the other side of the bell curve. I used to wear a 28B and cheaper bras flat out don't come in that band size. Even specialty companies don't often go below a 30 band, and when they do it's rarely below a C cup. Thankfully haven't worn a bra in years now so it's not an issue. The only difference is, I could get away with a bralette (or nothing at all) most days, people with larger boobs generally can't.
@@marcusu3261I'm a 28G. I can't even find bras. The selection is nearly non-existent, and when I do find one, they just wouldn't work for my shape. That's even if I could afford the $80+ they cost. I've had to start altering and sewing my own bras. I don't even have an uncommon cup size. Bra companies just really don't bother accomodating for our 28 band size.

You could try something called the "bar keepers friend" for your pan! It's basically a powder that you shake onto the bottom of your pan or on your stove with a little bit of water, and then you lightly scrub it in. Then you can just wash it or wipe it off and it looks brand new! It's a lifesaver!!!
The pill box thing would actually be kind of neat for a college student medicine kit, if you have medications that they don't necessarily need a full bottle of. Or for an office drawer at work.
I have been enticed to buy some of those products but I could not muster the courage to buy them. Thanks for reviewing them, Mia. You've saved me from spending my money down the drain.👍👍
My darling mother was so excited about those green sticks that I didn’t have the heart to tell her… pretty much anything about ads like these 😅 I don’t completely shelter her from the online world, but she was SO darn giddy about those green sticks.
Thank you Mia, for all you do in light of knowing you will get scammed a few times and still trudge through for your standing community and general population of people who want to try products off the Internet and get really bummed when they are bunk! I was thoroughly entertained. 😊 ❤
Mia, note that pepper's size calculator gives you a wrong size. There's no way you're a 32 band - I'm a 32 band and I am wider than you by several sizes based on your other size choices in other try ons. Pepper use the +4 inch method, which fits you the wrong size (I would be a 36A according to that method, when I'm actually a 32DD) so I highly highly recommend the "a bra that fits" calculator!! also it'll be a really great video, to try it and then get your suggested size :) If a 32b fits you, I would assume you're probably a 28D. (no, D =\= big boobs, it's a myth).
My soul literally hurt during that part of the video. I wear a UK size 30E/F depending on the brand, but pepper would size me at a 34B which would basically just float around me like a boob skirt lol. Like you probably wouldn’t guess i was a B cup by looking at me, but my boobs also aren’t enormous like my cup size makes it sound, i just have a petite frame like Mia. I also agree it would be a fun video idea for her to get some different style bras from specialty brands in her actual size and compare them to her +4 size from brands like pepper or victoria secret :)
@@cattaliyamurray8534 yeah exactly! And that's probably why bras gap on her and feel uncomfortable but when she gets her correct size it'll be *chef's kiss*
I find that the +4 method is fine because companies adjust their sizing accordingly. My underbust measures 28” and the pepper 32 band fit me fine because the actual band only measured 25”
I randomly bought the pill wallet at the grocery store the other day for literally less than a dollar, I feel like you did get scammed with that price 😂
Mia, use Easy off oven cleaner on your pan. Just take it outside put a trash bag down, put the pan on the bag and spray easy off on it. Let it set for half and hour then, take one of the flat green scrubbing pads and clean your pan. It will clean it I promise.
I know the point was to expose the ads for false advertising, and while it is true that it wouldn’t remove dark spots quickly like the ad showed, I think she should try it again but for like a month or something!
i just wanted to say, your mom has really pretty skin. it looks youthful and dewy, and i don’t see any/many scars or dark spots (other than the ones she pointed out, so like, two?) also, the way her hair has transitioned into that beautiful silver looks amazing! i hope my hair turns silver when i get older, but likely it won’t become so uniform like that, sadly. you’re beautiful, mama!! 🥰
im so happy you tried the pepper bra! i get it all the time and always think about it but assumed it was a scam. gald its legit and comfortable :) it also looked super cute dyed!!
I thought Mia bought a new bra in a different color, but no she was just casually like "okay I dyed the my nude one" and it turned out so well???
Right?! I thought the same thing!
And she didn't need to dye it for us 😭 she could've just inverted the color in video edit for that segment so the bra looks a different tone lol

Ohhh do you still have your video posted???
@@p3boricua3p yeah it’s on tiktok 😅
How did they have you?
@@DeathShiniGamashe posted a review on an Amazon product. I’m assuming it had her photo from the review as well.
That bra company advertised to everyone like crazy! I was seeing it for weeks and let’s just say I’m NOT their target customer 😂
Same lol! I don’t have gargantuan boobies but they def aren’t small and I think they just advertise to anyone who is marked as a woman by ad guesses
I kept getting their ads even though I'm a 30H LMAO
I have never seen that even though they would fit me lol
Got this one and the big girls one on the same day. 🤔
I’m a 46A cup and pepper would be great if they made a band in my size. 😿
that last product was a real scam. it was completely different than the ad. you received a pump like it was hand soap and the ad shows an aerosol can which is what causes the puffing effect from the foam like you saw in the sink. can't believe they realistically listed that for $20....
RIGHT SO BAD
tbh, those looked like videos for different products... one can was yellow, another was white and blue...
@@MiaMaples That looked like it was just baking soda and vinegar, which does clean almost everything, but it's also a few Cents
Mia please use a steel wool scrubber on the dark rust spot

Mia being so excited over the pill container being filled is too cute. As for the little labels, my first thought was searching for them on Google and then print tiny.
I literally laughed out loud at the bubble cleaner being in such a small box. Seriously needed that big laugh on a Friday night 😂😂😂😂😂
I once ordered a punch bowl and it was the size of a small candy bowl.
I ordered a throw blanket from Wish and when it came, it was the size of a small bath mat 💀
@@chelseasoto5416 Oh no! So frustrating
my mom once ordered a custom blanket with our family names on it and it was good quality with that! but only the dog could use it properly 😂
Thank you for this. I have a similar shape because of breastfeeding and weight loss.
32F here, girl yes!!!! Me too!!! I have all my volume at the bottom 😭😭
wait wait wait, bras arent supposed to have a gap in between my boobs at the top?? i need to find better bras…
Are we sure the last product was the Bubble Cleaner? Because the spray can was not the same color in all those videos
I do not take my cleaning supplies seriously and this still makes me upset as well. NOT worth $20!
Ps - the relationship you have with your mom reminds me of the one I have with mine. It’s the most spectacular and special bond and I’m so happy you guys share that. Mama Maples is an absolute legend!
As soon as you said “it’s called Bubble Cleaner” I was like “NO MIA ITS A LIE” 😭🤦🏾♀️
I love watching you and your momma together with my one year old. Every time you all start laughing, so does she. It’s the sweetest thing. My little family in TN loves to watch you 🤍
Update she’s still laughing along with y’all 😂❤
I love how Mia committed to the big boobs joke haha… also I agreed that the mini labels were the best part of the pill holder
Yea she wasn't a double d 😂
That green facial mask has been a known scam for years, but what makes it even worse is when content creators decided to try it for a joke and add the Chia seeds too, they would then take their videos and add it to the advertisements, making it look like popular reviews of people liking the product. 😤😓
The first two in the ad were joking with chia seeds! Watched them on their channel do it 😅
While filming the bra was difficult, seems like Mia found a great color match in the color she initially bought!
yeah i was sad that she lost a perfect color match! i guess she can always buy a new one if she likes it
For the medwallet: Just scan pictures in and print on sticker paper. You can resize as needed. I have one of these I use for knitting and sewing supplies! It is totally cute though, and using for pills is a cool idea!
I love watching Lu and your mom! The laughter is contagious!
Mia's neverending quest to get that pan cleans still continues.
I love that Mia thought that a wart/skin tag remover was the same thing as a dark spot lightening product 🤣 like I don’t think either would work but if they were legit they wouldn’t do the same thing
Yes! I thought she was trying an additional product I hadn't noticed.
I came here to see if anyone else was gonna mention the skin tag remover as age spot remover

I have been wondering about that green mask forever!! Thanks for being our fearless tester, Mia!
anything for you!!
We need you to try the purple teeth whitening gel/foams that’s have been advertised so much lately! Feeling scammy to me 🤔
Are you talking about the Hismile stuff? the gel and they sell different flavoured toothpastes. Haven't tried it yet.
@@BabyBurrito96 Thank you! I almost went and bought it but wanted to wait.
No purple though.
it is a scam, me and my best friend tried it, i only used it on half of my mouth and she did her whole mouth and it did literally nothing for either of us
The pill one is actually sooo good. Like as a disabled person that has pain, migraines, and different mental illness meds, that looks so useful and I would definitely be just as giddy and excited over it as you are lol
Also for your pores, the best skincare product I have ever used wasn't even skincare, it was head & shoulders... yes, the shampoo. It makes my face feel SO smooth and clean and no ither product has made my NOSE feel as smooth and clean as head & shoulders. Definitely recommend.
It's the Salicylic Acid in it that does the skin good. Great for acne prone skin so I've read 🙂
That stuff is no joke.)
I do understand, though, if you'd prefer to keep it for reference for any cleaning products. Sometimes, you gotta commit to the bit!
I'll bet she doesn't know, cuz I never heard of that and it is a great idea!
‘Bar keepers friend’ you guys!!!!
My brain tells me Safiya once tested it but finding that video isn't easy so my memory could be wrong on that
@@uriboveI remember Bunny trying it, can't recall Safiya thougg
The Balmerts are the couple in the first shot of that ad, they showed it was a scam and only matched the ad by adding Chia seeds to their faces.

Shape of cups is important too! Try different styles (like full coverage probably won't work if you're more shallow on top. Maybe a balconette would?)

O M G that is so bad!!! They shouldn't be removing people's reviews!! Thank you for sharing your experience

"I know exactly what I'm going to test it on"! We ALL knew exactly what Mia was going to test it on! 😂

ok but the pill case is actually a dopamine rush. I mean its so organized, and neat, and- I don't even know, just compact, cute and makes taking medication a bit better.

Sometimes I forget most of the world doesn't use blister packaging for medication. I was sitting here going "why would I spend so much time popping out all the pills just to put them in a container that isn't even air tight?" Then I remembered that medication can come in bottles too
If it came in an airtight package (blister) it needs to be kept like that as it will react to oxygen and moisture in the air.
@@RR4711literally 95% of medication I've ever been prescribed is in a blister pack. I have also had the same medication with one brand putting it in a bottle and another brand in blister strips.

Yes!! A bra that fits is a life changing website. So many of us are in the wrong size and struggling lol
Yes, I thought no she's a 32! :)
