Alright! Here's the standalone Tudor Black Bay GMT review that I promised in Saturday's feature. A separate standalone showcase the Rolex 126710BLRO will follow this week. Best, Tim
This is a great and underrated watch. It's the cheapest one in my collection by a mile, yet it hasn't been off my wrist since I bought it 9 months ago. It looks well, it very well made, its excellent quality and its comfortable. My new daily wearer and it's totally changed my mind on Tudor, I now love the brand. Buy it, don't even think about it
Great stuff, Tudor are knocking it out of the park at the moment. They are giving watch guys what they need, relatively affordable, great quality and fun timepieces!!
Beautiful watch. It has a classic look of the former Rolex GMT's and its still within reach for people that want a good quality watch but don't want to spend 10k for a classic dive watch.
The Tudor GMT is an outstanding looking and functioning watch. Multifunctional, sporty, and elegant all put together in a great watch. Tudor has such great lineage and history.
Thank you! This video made me buy this watch today. I also have a below average wrist so I was a bit afraid it would be too thick. Now when I have it on it looks amazing!
Of my watches, this is the one that gets the most comments. If you have a 7 inch wrist plus and aren’t a little guy, this watch is amazing - beautiful presence and charm. A BB58 looks like a kids watch on me - this GMT is just perfect.

2 months ago I put myself on the list at my local AD to try to get this exact Tudor GMT. Two weeks later I got a call from the AD saying that the people in front of me to buy this model had opted out. I said I'd come down and buy it if I liked it in person. It's been on my wrist now for over a month now. Everything about this watch stated in this review by WatchBox is as I see it (great watch). But here is something else. After a month of use (real use, everyday, hiking, biking, dog licking, etc.) this watch is running -3 seconds for the 5 weeks. Yes I know this is supposed to be Chronometer rated and very accurate. But come on! This is up there with a Spring Drive Seiko I owned. If there is a doubt about the quality of this watch put it to bed.
This watch is a smash! Tudor AkA Rolex unleashed this watch along with their new Rolex GMT, both Pepsi. Both are amazing, but The Tudor is a steal in every way. As far as AD dealers and the availability of this watch with the stainless bracelet is almost impossible. The ones that arrived are far and gone, even the strap versions, which are mush less in demand. The black Market has them on average for $5500 plus and rising. No one opted out to buy a stainless version of these anywhere, if so, let me know where.
The video I am looking for! Yes! Thank you! Black Bay GMT seems like a huge demand as compared to the Black Bay Chrono. So many angles and lighting the navy blue half bezel looks black and sometimes blue. It's like trying to blend in and switch from Pepsi to Coke.
Tim thanks for your details reviews on this Tudor BB GMT..... pretty sure u hv just trigger lots of interest with it now. Really appreciate & thankful for your honest reviews. Thanks
Warning to any considering this piece. Do some research first. Myself, and a growing number of other owners have had issues with the date complication. Mine is currently off to Tudor for repairs, and as of now I believe they have officially had my watch longer than I have, and I still have no further info or ETA. YMMV
Hello Tim, good review as ever. As my dad's 1675 was stolen unfortunately, this might be a nice way to get the feel of it and yet have a sturdy and modern timepiece. Even though I haven't commented in a long time, I've been watching and enjoying your videos. All the best and cheers from Germany. Daniel / @daniels_watches
I would rather buy the Tudor over the Rolex and then use that extra $$$$ to fund an Omega Seamaster 300M with a Ceramic bezel. Yeah I know I'm boring. And I'll probably still have money left over to service both watches when the time comes.
Awesome watch Dr. Tim , well spoken, right on, preach it, guaranteed to up in value, very hot looking watch, in an understated subtle way, maybe more panache than its rolex counterparts, kinda like driving a Bentely as opposed to a Rolls .Plus you get to keep your arm.
B⌚️⌚️M Shockalocka!! Nice breakdown on the Tudor, very well said, I agree on all points. Time for Rolex to step up their game. Tudor - please keep your foot on the pedal.
I'm in when a Class Action Lawsuit in filed on the Tudor Black Bay GMT. Tudor has been selling this watch since 2018 with a known movement defect and continues to sell it. Mine started jumping two days at a time at 7 months and has been at the Rolex Service Center in Dallas since March 15th 2020. The expected repair time is another 8-12 weeks so 5-6 months .
I'm considering the same thing with my 1500, and that was an inherited watch! Probably couldn't bring myself to sell it, but the pepsi tudor is so damn tempting right now.

Andrew Holt better put than I could! I think the Rolex only does 1 hour increments (I was suggesting that perhaps the Tudor bezel was more practical). Best wishes
Tim, Great review and really respect your opinion. I m not sure any watch this inexpensive that packs such a punch and hold or exceeds the money you spend on it. Bill Stalvey
My 7 month old Tudor GMT is sitting at my Authorized Dealer because I had the date jump two days at a time for 3 days straight. I brought it in on March 12th and days later the Covid-19 essential business policies were implemented and watch businesses closed. I'm done with Tudor as a brand because they have known since 2018 when this watch launched that they have a problem with the movement. There should be a class action lawsuit for damages to the buyers of this watch. The potential value is damaged not to mention the loss having to send it in for service. There are many that have had the problem repeat multiple times. Rolex - Tudor must be so arrogant they could care less about customers.
I find it so funny that some people clamor for watches to always get bigger or smaller, instead of just enjoying what is actually available before them.
john-carlos ynostroza It’s so funny, because I have the Tudor GMT and no one has ever said, “wow that looks too big on your wrist.” In fact, the only things I hear are: “wow that is a great watch,” or “how did you get it?” I guess it is because so many of the men who do these reviews are small guys who are in fashion journalism. Every guy isn’t 5’8 and 170 pounds.
So, I have the GMT, which is the latest release (Feb 2019), is it just my watch or do all in-house BB Rotors make a rough noise when they are turning inside the watch... should I be concerned?
It depends on your wrist size but if you can find this you'll always be able to get your money back- probably a profit as these are rare as rocking horse shit at the minute

Lovely timepiece! If you're ashamed of ownership then you are sadly lacking in fortitude.

I wish Tudor would make one with the same dimensions as the BB58!
Maybe next year. But don't hold your breathe.
I expect the 58 to sell very, very well. Perhaps there is a chance for a GMT in those dimensions if it does...
exactly
Well it is a modern mens sports watch...
I have the wrist size for it. BB58 size would be waay too small. I like this size a lot.
Another good review. Have you notice any issues with the date wheel? Does this cause any other issues with the movement?
Tim flexin his Rolex..do your thing bruh!
Nice review, thanks for all the info on the movement and dial! It has all the features I want, except for size.

Any update on the repair of your watch?
Fjones1914 my Rolex/Tudor AD says the date change issue is fixed. They’d just had a Tudor event, and heard it from them.
@@rousseau327 Thank you for the update.

I got that exact combination :) no regrets whatsoever
In the process of doing that, although I’m probably going to buy the gmt master in rose gold next year
I think some of the Rolexes are boring, so I don't think this makes you boring.
Yes and yes
Tried the smp 5 times. Each time i put it on it feels cheaper in feel. Dunno what it is but it doesn’t feel like a sub.

Thanks for the informative review!
Now imagine this watch with the BB58 dimensions and all black bezel... It would sell like crazy!
Carlos T. Just BB58 size - keep the colours 😍
Bet rolex won't allow it
I like the size
radiocrash Agree. I own this watch and 41mm. is a perfect size for me.
Tim when will you do the black bay 58!

Are they still selling them with the fault or have they fixed it? Also any update on the case?
Should I sell my Rolex Datejust 16220 to fund one of these? I'm seriously considering it.
Maybe, but not yet. A number of owners, including myself, are without their watch because of a date change issue. Can't recommend as of yet.
I'm considering the same thing with my 1500, and that was an inherited watch! Probably couldn't bring myself to sell it, but the pepsi tudor is so damn tempting right now.
Interestingly the Day Date 40 also had a date change issue in 2015/2016...I have the Tudor GMT with no date issues..

Absolutely love this watch. Current grail for me

GMT with Bezel that does 1/2 hrs not just 1 hr steps, helpful. Are 3 snowflakes a bit too many in the flesh?

Nice vid!
What is the bezel mechanism- ceramic bearing or spring?
Ceramics. Very nice feel to use it

How are Tudors holding the price after years?
I find it so funny that some people clamor for watches to always get bigger or smaller, instead of just enjoying what is actually available before them.
Right? It's so stupid. When they make a 41 guys are like, I wish they made this in a 40 and it would be perfect. Ridiculous.

I have this watch and I do not get that noise from mine.
I’ve never heard that complaint like that before, only from owners of fake watches.
"save your money for refills" lmao

I don't know...14.5mm sounds and looks pretty thick to me.
Ever since i saw it i want to own it , too bad its 6000bgn , so the average yearly salary in Bulgaria . Collage student and , Crying myself to sleep .
As you mentioned preciously, this bezel definitely looks more like a coke than a Pepsi.
I kinda miss the cyclops... am I nuts?lol
you are :)
wkendhacker LOL i suppose i am :’)
HKwon me too... but then maybe it would look like it’s wearing its big brothers clothes if it had the cyclops.
I prefer no cyclops. But that’s just me..
Love the watch... the puns tho... just outstanding 😂👌
Always good to have a healthy laugh!

Sure, it's a hefty, substantial watch, but could you beat a man to death with it? Ha!
Ian Fleming used his 1016 Explorer to rout a burglar once, apparently... I guess it's not impossible.
I'm torn between this and the 58 for a one watch collection.
It depends on your wrist size but if you can find this you'll always be able to get your money back- probably a profit as these are rare as rocking horse shit at the minute
I want to see someone with a 14cm wrist wearing this watch :)
I have a 18,5 cm wrist, and it still looks rather chunky.
How can you say “not excessively thick” when it’s extremely thick, and way too big for your wrist as well.
It is a modern mens sports watch...not a womens dress watch..
I fucking want one!
I'd love to see a Tudor "Coke" GMT!
This thing looks more like a Coke than a Pepsi. So, you pretty much have one here!
just change the lighting🤣
😍😍😍
as thick as if a eta 7750 is working in it.....
Too thick or I would buy it!
