The Cowabunga collection is the milestone I rate all collections against now. The layout, the spirit, the turtle lair feature, the spread of titles and the US and JP versions. Nothing gets near the quality of this release!
Growing up a Sega kid, Hyperstone Heist was really the only Turtles game I had any exposure to. It was the only game I was able to beat entirely on my own too. So many good memories
Turtles in Time was on home consoles, Particularly on the SNES, The original arcade game was on the NES titled as TMNT 2: The Arcade Game, After that, TMNT 3: The Manhattan Project on the NES, But then on the SNES they ported Turtles in Time over, But titled it as TMNT 4: Turtles in Time.
@eviljigglypuff2254 Andre didn't seem to. He said how TiT had never been on consoles except the re shelled or unlockables for other games. He also mentioned the original arcade game wasn't released except for on Xbox. So they're just bringing everyone up to speed. I do wonder though if he meant the legit arcade versions vs the ports since there were differences. Because He mentions playing the SNES turtles in time all the time.
@@travisbrantner8071 That confused me for a second as well, but I am pretty sure he meant the actual arcade game, which AFAIK Arcade and Turtles in Time were only ever released as part of the 2003 TMNT games for PS2/Xbox/GCN as unlockables (that unfortunately replaced all the sound effects and music with terrible stock sounds), and XBLA for Arcade. I thought Turtles in Time was also on XBLA for a time, but wiki says no, so I may just be confusing reshelled with the XBLA release of the first arcade game.
My 1st TMNT game was Hyper Stone Heist. Loved it. And Raph will always be my go-to. Best Ninja Turtle! I honestly believe that the Ninja Turtles are the comic book characters with the most enjoyable games. I love the Batman Arkham games & Spider-Man's had some great ones, but the TMNT have had the most. As for compilations, give us an X-MEN: DANGER ROOM COLLECTION!!!! Yes, this request is inspired by X-Men '97. And give us a new side scroller inspired by said show in the vein of Shredder's Revenge.
Replaying Turtles III The Manhattan Project and Turtles in Time SNES were especially nostalgic with this collection. Fall of The Foot felt harder, but it could have been because I played it a lot back in the day. I always play Raphael, doing his drill attack in the third game was my favorite iteration of him.
I got this collection myself and when I got to the Tournament Fighters game which was my first time experiencing the game I was like why aren’t we investing in a TMNT versus game like that today? With the vast library of characters that exist in TMNT you could create a nice roster of characters to play with in a versus game.
After playing as the Turtles in Injustice 2, I was really wanting a new TMNT fighting game that was on the same level as Injustice or the current Street Fighters. I just want a fighting game where you can play as Shredder. I wish they'd put him in the next Injustice, so I can have Shredder vs Batman fights

Man, that NES game back in the day was BRUTAL! That level with the electric seaweed took so much of my power and put me at such a disadvantage for the next level. Some of the games in this collection I never even knew existed back in the day. I look forward to playing catch up. Yes! Tournament Fighters!
I couldn't BELIEVE it when this was first announced. All the classic TMNT games, including the two arcade games and their ports, in one modern package? ON THE SWITCH? WITH A WIDE PHYSICAL RELEASE??? As both a TMNT diehard AND someone who played the absolute CRAP out of both Turtles in Time and Tournament Fighters on the SNES back in the day, that had always been my DREAM game compilation, but I never thought it'd actually happen! Plus, just the amount of STUFF Digital Eclipse crammed in! Cheats, every game-specific option that you could possibly want, online play, manuals, artwork, print ads, development material, cartoon screencaps! They really threw in everything and the kitchen sink (except maybe TV commercials) to make my personal dream collection EVEN BETTER. Sometimes we really ARE living in the best timeline. Also loving my Split Pad Compact! I initially picked up the basic yellow/gray color scheme because that was the only one on sale, but I was also able to score the awesome Sonic the Hedgehog-branded one for half-off a little later. That's definitely been my go-to since I got it in. The Sonic art's so rad!
The SNES Turtles in Time game is in my top five favorites of all time. The arcade games are really special to me because I would only be able to play them during the summer when my family and I went and stayed up at the beach. The arcade had everything. I actually had a Ninja Turtles fanny pack (it was the early 90s. They were fly) that my mom would fill with quarters that she collected all year long so I could play the games and skee ball.
The switch really is a retro gamer paradise and it’s one of the reasons why I’d love the switch under Cowabunga collection is probably the best retro compilation on switch.
These games bring back so many memories! There are a lot of games in that collection that I know about only from Nintendo Power. I never played the Game Boy games and I'm pretty sure I only played Tournament Fighters on the SNES. I can't remember if I ever played the Genesis version even though I had a Genesis. Like the Justice League Task Force game, replaying Tournament Fighters was hard! I loved the NES TMNT games. I could never beat the first one but I did make it to the Technodrome. TMNT II was so much fun and 3 was a blast with the Konami code. The bosses were so fun to battle and the Super Shredder final battle was great.
Wow. I remember playing the TMNT arcade game lots in my pizza parlor when I was a kid, and I definitely remember playing TMNT on the NES. Those levels were electrifying lol
I still remember my parents got me Hyperstone Heist for my 9th birthday and being a Turtles fan it got me super happy, I played it from start to finish everyday after school. Back then I had a Mega Drive while my cousin had a Super Famicom and I remember playing Turtles In Time at his place. Hyperstone Heist is also what got me back to Ninja Turtles, because I sorta growing out of it, but here I am, embracing Turtle Power! And playing it again along with both arcade titles and Turtles In Time SNES with the Cowabanga Collection on my Switch as much as I want, I couldn't be more happier. Also have Shredder's Revenge so COWABANGA! And also, Raph is my favorite Turtle
Did you ever think we would live in a world where we wouldn't need quarters to play TMNT arcade games and not need a Super Game Boy to play TMNT Game Boy games on the big screen? I'm so glad they updated this too. First release didn't have TMNT in time online co op. Maybe one day we will get another update so we can play TMNT 2 NES online cop op! Radical video! and happy 40th anniversary to the TMNT!
Honestly I grew up with the Sega TMNT games. A couple years later, I played the delisted Xbox 360 port of the original TMNT arcade game. Fast forward a few years ago, this awesome TMNT collection. The announcement trailer I actually had tears of joy, it was something I always wanted. I already started to stop waiting for it before I seen that trailer. I strongly felt it's one of the greatest compilation games I ever played!!!
I don't care what anyone says, but TMNT 3: Radical Rescue for Game Boy is one the best Ninja Turtle games out there. I don't like to use this word on the internet because it gets way too overused, but this game really is an underrated gem. A Metroid clone that plays way better than Metroid 2 for the Game Boy. On another note, I really do love the TMNT arcade game. I remember enjoying early arcade beat-em-ups like Ninja Gaiden, Double Dragon, and Final Fight, but TMNT arcade really solidified my love for arcade beat-em-ups so it holds a very special place in my heart.

I'm sorry to say that I got official word from Josh Fairhurst, the head of Limited Run Games regarding the status of a compilation of Konami's Tiny Toon Adventures games; he had been trying for three years to get such a compilation off the ground, and he contacted WB for the license, not just for it, but for Konami's Animaniacs games. WB turned the licenses down, claiming the revenue opportunity was too small for them. This is despite the fact that both Animaniacs and Tiny Toons had been brought back for modern audiences as part of reboots; Animaniacs (2020) and Tiny Toons Looniversity. My only reasons for watching the latter (as I find it inferior to Adventures for many reasons) were the hopes that WB would bring Adventures to Max and Konami would bring their Tiny Toons games to modern consoles in a compilation. I like how in the sewer level xenomorphs aka "pizza monsters"( as andre referred to them ) make an appearance 😂 looking forward to seeing you cover the toxic crusaders switch game when it comes out
That water section gave me anxiety for real lol
I love your excitement and enthusiasm. New subscriber right here
Now we just need a mortal kombat kollection on ps5, Xbox and Nintendo that includes the past 7 games!(MK1-MKA)
Oh wow. Why did I think that already existed? Yes, we need that now!
Not sure if this was mentioned, but the menu music is the first stage of the first TMNT 2003 game
I feel like they should do a TMNT, Double Dragon, Karate Kid/Cobra Kai crossover game. Oh and my favorite turtles were Donatello and Raphael.
Last year, I was so impatient for this compilation that I bought it like a day earlier thru the Hong Kong eshop. It was also 20 bucks cheaper than the Canadian eshop. Buying it from the Hong Kong eshop was a no brainer.
I still have my SNES Turtles in Time...its part of my prized collection that also include Mario RPG, All Stars and Megaman X
Great set of games!
Turtle Power!
