Ammunition all around is getting too expensive - and this is by design.
Love what PSA is doing. “Tack Driver” might be a bit of a stretch.

It's surprising how many companies are pushing 7.62x39 chambered rifles lately while the ammo market is getting worse by the day. The cost per round is making this caliber quickly a no go as their are just too many other rounds out there that are similar price but better performance. The whole point of this round was its low cost so people were willing to put up with lower accuracy and performance, not so much anymore.
We’re about to get hit with a shortage of gunpowder, so I don’t see any ammo going down in price, even when the tooling gets paid off

I'd love to see the groups of the Sabre ammunition in both your ranch and Semi-automatic rifle.
I've seen some great performance from PPU 7.62x39mm softpoints for hunting hogs and deer on another channel called Tools&targets. Do you have any thoughts on this loading?
how is the ejector on your ruger american ranch? I want to see a 1k rundown with the steel case. I had to get my bolt replaced by ruger before.

Are those black tips the Hornady SST projectile?
Yes....I actually bought some "factory seconds" bullets from Midway. They are the same black tips. Side by side with SST, they are identical.

Hornady doesnt make a 311 cal SST

Its funny on everything ive seen as well as my own opinion the packaging is super unnecessary. The box is big, overly graphic although nice, and doesnt need a plastic insert. If a small plain boc and paper saved them money they should change it.
What is the black tip bullet? Like an SST? Or a VMAX?

East block imports are about as pricey as brass case if you can even find it...
It costs more to produce in the US! They had to completely spool up production and have to recoup R&D cost and make a profit. I think it came out at a great price in this day and age

this is a big let down, too expensive for steel. Target sports usa stocks the new republic ammo brass case for close to that if not even for less with the membership. From my point of view this is a massive fail from PSA

You said you bought your 1st round of this ammo with ur money , they need to send you free ammo free to test . Considering your talking like this a good deal. PSA went into the new ammo and machining / TOOLING knowing they where gonna use this as a tactic to overpriced and price gouge based off the world events. Don't sell short of what it really is . TO TOP IT OFF I SERVED DURING THE IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN WAR AND PSA WONT OFFER A MILITARY DISCOUNT. PIONT BLANK
