The total is confirmed lower by at least one shot, and potentially three more after that (not yet confirmed since this run was specifically done from a fresh save file, while Ze1dahead's run equipped alternate weapons in a level replay).

In level 25, if you throw auto bombs on the targets, it will open the door to the next section. BOOM! Pro tip!
With the new Pause Trick, experimentorium loses its 3, and the 1st now is no issue. 26 will be a problem, though.

if you even can, (I have a strange feeling there might be levels that don't let you use alternate weapons to the main ones.) But then again, I also think a lot of levels might well be optional, so that's definitely doable then.

Fun fact: the 6th level has a speed run tactic where as soon as you get to the place where the fan is, use the stingray to move the fan on that final platform, then with lots of luck hit that final grappleink and you’ll be right at the goal

Hmmm is it possible to beat octo expansion without triggering your weapon:
Some stations wont allow you to use bombs at all BUT
If you die enough you will have the girls help you get through the stages and you can also skip the near end part and all that.

Some of the older games would be easy, while others would have impossible timed chase scenes that require being somewhere that requires swinging, unfortunately.

It'd fail as soon as Sonic becomes playable, since his Energy Meter is bugged and gives him infinite energy when it shouldn't. (This is why you can spam Gems in Sonic 06 with Sonic.)
Well just dont use gems.
you're given a gem during a cutscene that's instantly equipped. even if you don't use it, the infinite energy is still there, therefore a glitch

You may be able to remove the first shot with a well timed splat bomb, if it falls while exploding but it would be insanely difficult.
Splat bombs only explode whilst on the ground

I couldn’t find the video, but that challenge inspired me to finish my own splatoon game. It was insanely hard, but I screamed at the top of my lungs when I beat him WITH GUNS. Props to you for doing it without guns.
While going through this myself, the part at 4:50 looked fun to try so I just tried it and used the gun to cover the wall. Then I did the glitch first try.

I think parking garage might be possible by somehow having a splatbomb run most of it's timer on top of the second bridge and then having it fall off at the last second, but i have yet to make it.

This reminds me a lot of my no Left Stick run of Odyssey. I've already talked super long about this on this channel and a few others so I won't go on for long. I'll just say that you can beat Odyssey with only 4 directional inputs of the Left Stick (if you want a good challenge, I'd highly recommend that you attempt this challenge. Watch out for Bowser's Kingdom and the NDC City Hall. Those are the two hardest sections of the run). If anyone is interested in learning more about the minimum Left Stick run, feel free to ask me any questions.

The main ways are by rolling and diving.
I noticed this possibility too, with Mario changing directions by pressing the R stick and rolling to move around.
You can't get very far like that, so I ended up having to include the first person camera to be able to get past Cap Kingdom.

Basically, you'd have to beat the game and free all the beasts, without using melee weapons or bows. Only shiekah slate runes and shield bash reflects!
How will you unlock any of the divine beasts? Not to mention you need to fire a bow to kill the final boss
Well, the Bow of Light is required, but the final fight is pretty much a cutscene anyway. I’ll be honest, I’m not sure about actually getting to the beasts, but if anyone is gonna find a way, it’ll be him!

Nope, right away in the first stage you have to get a friend as part of the tutorial. There are also multiple other times its required to progress.
Impossible on the first stage you need 1-3 friends to pass the parts where you hang from the lever things but maybe Kirby Star Allies without getting an ability?
PikaZushiGaming That’s still a cakewalk, since Kirby without an ability still can fire stars back at bosses and enemies. Also, friends automatically seek out any threat or roadblock (that they can clear), so that pretty much makes challenges involving Kirby (No Float stopped by first stage roadblock, No Jump stopped by same roadblock, No Friend Hearts stopped by friend doors, etc.) or friends (There are multiple roadblocks requiring elements, and in some stages requiring outright combos) already not possible, or easily seen as possible (For instance, No Damage will be tedious but with luck/skill/knowledge of the game it’s not impossible at all.)
I know an exploit for fase 3 in inner agent 3. Look at where she's going to super jump after fase 2, then go to the farthest corner away from her, and she'll use the auto bomb rush but all the auto bombs won't see you and they will all explode in one spot. (For octo expansion)

No. In the 4 thang levels, you get ONLY the splattershot, no subweapons of any kind. So that's 4 shots minimum.
Also there are multiple levels standing in your way of those, where you're required to use specific weapons, sometimes without a sub.
