He seems seriously uncomfortable talking about himself ... until you hear his songs. They explain his own life and, just as importantly, the lives of so many of us who grew up with him.
He was supposed to be "the New Bob Dylan" but the simplicity and honesty of his lyrics surpassed anything I have ever heard. This comment could go on as long as one of his shows so my advice is go see his live show - he will get into your heart and never leave

To be honest I had only heard of Bruce Springsteen as a legendary figure in casual talks, I never had come across one of his songs. After this interview I looked him up and listened to a few, he is pretty good, excellent soulful songs about thoughts and lives simple people have, but as an aside it made me think how generations romanticize things of their time, as in he is definitely over-hyped when compared objectively with today's contemporary soulful singers. it may be my 20 something bias but I think he did a slightly better Ed Sheeran in his time.

I like Colbert but this interview was pretty weak on his part. Bruce was kind and interesting, maybe a little nervous but overall really friendly and nice to hear. Colbert though seemed a bit...idk, intimidated or uncomfortable or something? Bruce was talking like he was with a friend in a bar while Colbert couldn't loosen up enough to get an easy vibe going. And what was that fiasco with 50 years vs 60? Bruce kept insisting he was 7 when he saw Elvis but Colbert kept trying to push that he was around 17. Why not go with the flow? I think the man would know his own timeline after just having written his memoirs...

No way Stephen. That Elvis clip would be from maybe 60 years ago, not 50. Like, 1961? Tho I think it could be even earlier, cuz Hound Dog came out in the 50s and was one of the first hits Elvis had. 50 years would put it at 1971, and that clip is definitely not from 71.

I love Bruce Springsteen music. But he is always saying that it was this band that made him want to be a rock star. I remember he was doing an interview. He was walking down the boardwalk Atlantic City. Pointed to the old convention center Atlantic City said that's where it all started he saw the who. And that's when he wanted to be a singer-songwriter rockstar. He said that was the first Rock concert. Am a big a big big fan of THE WHO. And I thought that was so cool that it was THE WHO that was the influence for Bruce to become what he has become. I just don't like when it's someone different all the time.

Trump is unfit for office, and trying to create some kind of equivalency between a number of settled cases and what had been referred to as a 'slew' of credible allegations is a desperate tactic voters will see through. The only reason I care that Melania modelled illegally in the US before the election is that Trump enabled it. Otherwise, it's not about the spouses.

I guess you don't have to know how to subtract to play music. If Bruce is 67 years old and Elvis played 50 years ago in the clip they showed, then Bruce would have been 17 years old when Elvis played, not "6 or 7".

Actually, Stephen Colbert was the one was wrong. Elvis played Houndog on the Ed Sullivan show in 1956. Show Bruce is correct. And regarding your musical opinion: whatever.
