Love both these guys, both a class act. I hope our country can come back to admiring goodness and honesty and sincerity in people instead of where we are at now .
Great story!!! Nicely done, this piece. As a journalist myself ( and an American patriot whose family served in the US Air Force ) based on recent times, we are all going to have to aspire toward creative people ( musicians/artists/writers outside of the political fields ) to inspire/install a new sense of influences to keep America progressing. It just can't be about Republicans versus Democrats or conservatives versus liberals let alone being divided because one group is " right " over another ( which, in several ways, is EXACTLY what our foreign enemies want ). If you watch this video, THIS is what we have to do to advance our way of life, our way of law, our way of Government: Work with new and continual creative energies, that doesn't include legislation or even political rallies, so that we all have peaceful reconciliation between each other. We can't keep being divided. It's just not healthy for all of us. We've lost enough credibility around the world simply due to chaotic decision making, not just after the events of 911 but especially during and after the January 6th insurrection. At some point, we have to stop the madness of chaotic decision making and regroup for the bigger picture ( " . . .in order to form a more PERFECT Union " as stated in the Preamble ). Frank Zappa himself once said " Progress is not possible without deviation from the norm. " Even though Zappa had many fine political points, he knew that America cannot survive without working together for our betterment. Hopefully, The President and the Boss continue to see the aforementioned and build on it to keep us all on the " sense of a common American story. "
Bruce's songs are fleeting moments of spiritual ecstasy in the form of human love and empathy. Barack's presidency was a brief eight years of the same - irrespective of his successor, we knew he would be missed. Many of us have been witnessing this paternal vacuum for some time now, and now the toll being exacted is currently high and only our future offspring can desalinate the hate. Us adults living now have proven that we are quite incapable of taking on this challenge.
@@bonnieholton7138 So far, it’s working pretty good. I’m always reminded of Frank Zappa’s quote: “ Progress is not possible without deviation from the norm. “ It would even better for us all if more people adopted to this mindset like Bruce/Barack have.
The last thing we need is more "artists" preaching to people. They don't have any better ideas than anyone else. Most of them are much dumber than the average American.

Brilliant. I am 58 and have loved The Boss since I was a teenager. I had the great privilege of seeing him live once in the eighties. I have also loved Barak Obama for many years and had the great privilege of seeing him once when he was running for president. I was teaching Academic Writing at ASU at the time. The day he spoke on the ASU campus, I cancelled my classes and asked my students to attend and offered credit to anyone who wrote something about the experience. Many of them took attended and write about it. I felt instinctively that something very important was happening and wanted my students to witness history in the making. I took my young daughter and sat with her on the ASU library steps and watched Barak Obama speak to the crowd. will never forget that day. His presidency was profoundly important and history-making indeed. My daughter will be 23 next month, and she also vividly remembers the day we saw Obama speak. We have lived in Hawaii for 12 years now. My daughter has "tricked" lots of her friends about seeing Obama, who she actually saw in Tempe, Arizona instead of his and now our home state of Hawaii, which is in fact a part of the United States of America last time I checked. Hah! : ) Thank heaven for renegades like these two. Their friendship makes so much sense, and this story really highlighted that fact. I really enjoyed it. Thank you. : )
@@GODHATESADOPTION Unfortunately? Seriously? So I guess aliens or "radical, left-wing, anarchist, socialist, communist" Democrats planted that birth certificate in the hospital in Honolulu retroactively so he could become president, which was all part of a vast conspiracy to rob entitled, white Americans from their "superior" position in the American social landscape. Whatever. I am a white woman and was proud to call him my president. That you took the time to write something negative about my very positive comment that also includes college students and my daughter says everything about who you are. Good luck with that. @@kimberknutson831 karma only affects you when you reincarnate in buddhism which is self refuting because you cannot desire to be desireless so there is no such thing as karma. Technically you reap what you sow according to the bible, which you should open. Unfortunately he was the 2nd worst president ever after Joe.
@@GODHATESADOPTION I think that was an attempt on your part to sound smart, which failed, unfortunately. As I already revealed in my original post, I am a former university teacher. I have an MA and a PhD in English Literature. Additionally, I have been a licensed, non-denominational Christian minister for about 25 years, and I am a registered official for the state of Hawaii because I sometimes perform weddings free of charge, which is one of the many ways I am charitable, charity being a Christian virtue that I appreciate, respect, and practice regularly. I have, therefore, obviously read the Bible closely, unlike anyone who says that they have read it and cites it to sanction values that Jesus would have definitely opposed. Anyone who alludes to the Bible and cites it to sanction violence of any kind clearly missed the point. Perhaps you would be well served to re-read the parable of the Good Samaritan as told in the 4th Book of Luke. Martin Luther King had that story in mind when he went to Israel and visited Jerusalem, Jericho and other holy sites. The visit was memorialized in his 1968 "I Have a Dream" speech. He wisely used the story of the charitable Samaritan who helped a traveler from a different group than himself to appeal to people to look past race and see the human being underneath the skin color. People like you really test my Christian ethics because I loathe cruelty and violence of any kind against anyone on principles established by the life and work of Jesus Christ. Ignorance is understandable in that it just means not knowing. Stupidity is almost always willful and self-serving and generally at the expense of someone else. Enough already. As The Boss and the President astutely said, "we are not going back." Word. Accepting that reality will probably make your life easier and otherwise better than wasting it being hateful and resentful and resisting the inevitable. Aloha.

Neither started in the elite, and both still seem to remember where they are coming from.
This was beautiful!🥰
Hi there?
How beautiful were the days miss you Mr. President missing you 😔
Something nice 👌 to watch this days!
Your comment is spot on, how're you doing over there?
I love seeing this. I could listen to President Obama speak all day. He is so caring, so well spoken, and absolute joy to see him. By far the best president in my lifetime. 😎

I Love President Barack Obama and Rock Star Bruce Springsteen ❣️ I love this interview ❣️❣️
Beautiful friendship to share with the world 🌍
I'm really much impressed about your profile and personalities. I also admire your good sense of humor on here. I don't normally write in the comment section, but I think you deserve this complement.how're you doing over there?
Two amazing people! They speak so much truth. We as Americans must work together to build a better country. We cannot afford more in fighting.
Wow, your world must be ducky!
Amazing because they got rich and did nothing with their fame and fortune?
@@jed5068 I think if you took the time to google, you will find out what kind of philanthropy work they do.
@@GKP999 I use to be a big Springsteen fan when his music was still good. I know they give but look at what Jimmy Carter has done since leaving office. He has done many different projects that really help people not just giving some money away.
@@jed5068 Jimmy Carter is an amazing and very rare person. Even in his advanced age he still continues to volunteer.
I don't expect everyone to be like him. For me, what is important is that someone gives what they can. At least they are doing something positive to make the country and world a better place.
Us adults living now have proven that we are quite incapable of taking on this challenge.
hows that working out listening movie stars and and professionals singers alike.Other than that you are correct
@@bonnieholton7138 So far, it’s working pretty good. I’m always reminded of Frank Zappa’s quote: “ Progress is not possible without deviation from the norm. “ It would even better for us all if more people adopted to this mindset like Bruce/Barack have.
@@bonnieholton7138 Try again when you are not inebriated.
The last thing we need is more "artists" preaching to people. They don't have any better ideas than anyone else. Most of them are much dumber than the average American.
What I see is mutual respect and friendship. Nice one. X
Beautiful I love seeing this
Two truly great Men! And I used the word Men with the greatest respect and admiration!
This is just what we need right now. Thanks Gentlemen.
Absolutely my my dear 😁

Refreshing....like a breath of fresh air..., just so uplifting. Please do more of these shows...we need this badly. As my friend Berlinia Russell on RUclips says "Words do Matter". Sing, sing....our world needs this so badly now. These two gentlemen are so wise. Blessings galore.
Two very intelligent men. Glad they are leading "THE" movement toward a more peaceful world. Well done Sunday Morning!
Obama drone bombed innocent people including a hospital. Yeah, real peaceful...
Yeah love these two
I have the book and find it very informative discussions about their love of American
Hi there?
Nice comment you've got over their, how're you doing over there?
My two favorite people! They bring hope for a better USA. 😂🔥
Two American icons in their own right, with love and passion for their fellow neighbors.
Obama cared more about welfare hogging freeloading illegals (DAPA) who never paid any taxes than tax-paying citizens,
President Trump citizens before illegals, That's what I voted for President Trump in 2016.
I just heard that the community organizer from Chicago just got upset because the White House doctor wanted to test Biden for dementia
He has no class and is a liberal who became a millionaire on your tax dollars. Springsteen is another dirty liberal.
These are two men I’d love to have over for dinner with friends. They’re both so good to listen to.
OK now I just want to hang out and party with these dudes.
Thank you. : )
Unfortunately he is my cousin through his mother Ann Dunham. He wasnt born in Hawaii tho...
If I loved someone as much you claim, I would learn to spell their name correctly.
Karma is real. Just ask the former Orange president. Take care. Mahalo and Aloha.
Aloha.
This team ship is amazing!
This is so wonderful! So uplifting! Wishing all kindness.
Two great men!
What a great story. Love The Boss and I adore President Obama.

This is why the left cannot see the reality of Obama.
Ecclesiastes10
Wisdom and Folly
10 Dead[a] flies [b]putrefy the perfumer’s ointment,
And cause it to give off a foul odor;
So does a little folly to one respected for wisdom and honor.
2 A wise man’s heart is at his right hand,
But a fool’s heart at his left.
3 Even when a fool walks along the way,
He lacks wisdom,
(A)And he shows everyone that he is a fool.
I just love Barack Obama. What an inspiring person.
This was something that could touch the hearts of everyone. Great interview.

This is why I change the radio dial every time born in the USA comes on. 😂😂😂😂
