Another excellent video with my favourite drone. I'm just loving flying it and especially with the RC Pro controller. Flew around the frosty golf course again this morning and amazed at the photos that it takes. I just wish I could zoom in for the photos. Keep up the good work with the videos.
I loved that one Marcus, I always do. As you perhaps know we don't have a canyon here in the UK. Did you see the big Eagle in shot as you approached the the canyon edge in the Taiho. Also the contrast inside the canyon is very different, and the return to home from the bottom in the line it was taking the rim was much higher at that straight line point. And apart from giving me a worry, it gave use the great close up of the rim. what a great video!!! One more for me to watch over and over again.

Hey Marcus this is a great video. I always love the flights out over this cayon. I wish I had the opportunity to see it personally. Also I really do enjoy the footage for the Air2s. I know that everyone is talking about the Mavic 3 and the mini 3 pro but man that Air2s really holds it's own in comparison to the newest DJI drones. Looking at the colors of the snake river and the colors vegetation and cayon walls is so sharp and crisp and clean as if I could just step right through the TV screen into the scene. That one inch sensor is really giving some spectacular videos footage 👏 👌

Yeah, you missed the controller icon. Good watching that though so you were not fooled. There was a commercial so it did not show very well. It was not selected properly and the video showed it. Skipped getting the air 2s when it came out as already had air 2 but but did not miss out on Mavic 3 and it was your reviews over that canyon that made me buy, so for me that and the mini 3 pro is all I need to pack that covers me for all situations. Don't have canyons near me but some nice cliffs within a 2.5hr drive. But maybe just maybe I might get the air 2s but just the drone, although I think it's not rated for -10C and winters nearly upon us.
When I do active track with my Air 2S drones I disable sideways flight and it works great. I have even ran through the woods with it tracking me and it made it. Yes I was trying to get it to crash but I was surprised it made it. There is another setting I use also that you can use once you are ready to use Active track. It will allow this option too. The second setting does allow props in the shot some but I kind of like it.
Hi Marcus.....Great Video.....That was kinda nerve wracking going that low. I know when I was out there. It was easy to loose eye's on the drone cause it would blend into the surrounding contrast so well. Looks just as dusty and hot when I was there too. I wanted to do 2 batteries worth of flights. But the heat was to much for me.
Marcus, I just flew my Mavic 3 with my RC controller and I had a similar experience when I selected the home point to be the remote. It was as if it made the home point where the remote was when I did that, not where it moved to after I drove down the road. The drone tried to go back where I was before. I wonder if that’s a bug in the last update? 🤷♂️
The drone does not have dynamic home point. In other words it will not follow the remote in real time. It will go to the last spot that you refreshed from. 👍
@@IdahoQuadcopter Wow! It seems like the Mavic 2 had that. I don’t know how they think we can chase boats from a boat and get the drone back without manually selecting it? 🤷♂️🤔🤦♂️

Just flew my mini 2 -300 ft into the snake River canyon east of Hansen Bridge. Worked great, doing Murtaugh Bridge area next.

Great video! Careful there is debris kicked up and possibly scratching lens on takeoff and landing. Maybe land it on the roof of your car.

ActiveTrack is just what DJI calls their follow mode.
I would be afraid of looking at the drone video screen too much and not where I'm driving, oops over the canyon I go, lol.
