I use the net a lot for specs and help, but I never take any notice of the first thing I come across, I scan as many forums as I can, same with RUclips, I'll watch as many RUclips videos as there are before a open the bonnet ... but yeah been there where you are had a bad nights sleep then come out the next day with a fresh mind and like you say having to learn a new skill doing something for the first time ... just keep pushing along mate cars isn't easy but the satisfaction once your driving down the road in a repair you've done yourself is a great feeling

Everyone’s an “expert” on the internet. Always use service manual for torque specs. I too learned the hard way in past.
