    Another Epic informative, Great Video! Love the 24's too...
    "2001 Gil Losi Sr. of Team Losi sold the Team Losi brand to Horizon Hobby in 2001."
    "2018 Founded in 2005, Axial R/C, Inc. quickly became a global brand leader of hobby grade radio controlled products and was later acquired by Horizon Hobby, LLC in 2018."
    So explains why... lol... & losi 10th scale rock rey & Axial yeti are almost clones... lol... losi was well ahead on allot that's getting trickled back into market even the scx6 has 1/6 rock Ray size rims & tires can swap! I really love the history

      I have the cr24 aswell, I changed the esc and controler and run 2s on it now. The stock esc will run 2s but gets hot and cuts out. Also cr18 tires are the same hight as scx24s tires but softer and more grippy. Oh and I made it into a 6x6 too

    After watching your review I have to admit: I haven't been fair with this rig. I thought it was just a different body from a Hobbyplus CR-24, but it seems I'm quite wrong after seeing the details on the axles, the motor position and the size of the servo. Though I am quite sure they share a few bits of componentry. Maybe even the same factory or manufacturer.
    I do think two things really hurt it, though: electronics and overall looks.
    The 2 in 1 ESC+receiver is an industry standard in this scale and, as you say, 1S does give more time to play, but I think it also hurts to be able to have a lower gear ratio and have a wider motor rpm range/spread to play with, as you have noted with the low speed control. Also, the whiney sound the motor/ESC makes is quite annoying (to me).
    Looks are in the eyes of the beholder, but the unlicensed, unpainted panel gaps body (which make it look very 90s or even toy-grade) and tires make this car look cheaper than it is. And I know it's not that expensive, especially compared to an SCX24, but that feels 2-3x more expensive in your hands. Not kidding. You put an SCX24 next to it and they really seem like two different categories of model rigs.
    I love Element and what they're trying to do as a company. It's nice to have a wide range of products to get to everyone. This was a first effort, and a decent one, but that IMO, it didn't show. Maybe next time they can upgrade at least the looks to make it more appealing, or else, make a Builder's kit to dump money to your hearts contempt to make it a very personal and very scale for the size rig.
    In this scale, although SCX24 is great, it's not cheap, and personally, I'd rather recommend Xiaomi's Jimny. For my own, I also ditched the electronics, to be able to get rid of the awful phone controls, use my own radio, the aftermarket electronics also came with a light kit. While at it, I also got a set of bearings, and for much less than a 100 bucks (base car is usually les than 50), I have a very scale, great looking and fun little rig. No, it's not as capable as an SCX24, but for my living room adventures and looking good on the shelf, it's more than enough... now if only it could take 2S too to have enough power to throttle out hard on very tight spaces, under load while the steering is fully locked... Does the Element suffer from this voltage shortage under this high demand manoeuvres?

    • @RCTNT
      @RCTNT  2 года назад +2

      Interesting. I don't agree with you on the value part, I think it's there for the price, but the body is a toy shell, yes! Their 1/24 Trailrunner is cool, but this platform is ready for a hard body and there's room for an interior, with the big stuff out of the way at each end.
      The Jimny is a cool little thing.
      This rig has no voltage droop issues under load. The Losi definitely does but the scx24 and Enduro24 both seem fine. Reversing under load is the biggest test as the circuitry is usually optimised for forward and often skimped on for reverse. Anyway, this one seems just fine.
      We can agree to disagree on the value here, at any rate. Element did an excellent job for their first attempt in this scale and its my favourite of the ones I have - so far! Few more coming yet. We'll look at them and then do a performance comparison at the end of it to see how well they crawl.
      I've said it many times before, we sure are spoilt for choice these days!

    • @YoShImUrA53
      @YoShImUrA53 2 года назад +1

      @@RCTNT I don't say it isn't good value, overall. But before driving the Element, the others seem like a better one, IMO.
      How boring it'd be if we always agreed...
      No argument on that last statement! ✌🏻

    • @YoShImUrA53
      @YoShImUrA53 2 года назад +2

      @@RCTNT re-reading my first comment, I might've not been clear enough by saying that there is value in the Element 24 in the fact that the engineering behind the chassis is commendable. It's only a pity that the electronics and especially the body don't allow it to shine as a more unique product for its uncommon but scale features

    • @RCTNT
      @RCTNT  2 года назад +1

      The body is a shame, yes.
      What's the issue with the electronics? That the third channel seems to be inaccessible? Fair enough. But the esc/rx is otherwise pretty good. I like the axial radio system better but the motor and servo in this thing is brilliantly matched to the vehicle.
      In any case, these little jiggers are just begging for hard body conversions, so the lame body detailing will become a null issue at that point.
      And fwiw, I asked my boy which of the tiny trucks he likes the look of best (Losi, scx24, Enduro24, rgt 1/24 rig I'll soon discuss) and he said the Enduro24. I asked him why and he said because the tray could carry things. So there's probably room for utility in the decision as well, I hadn't thought of that!

    I really like this little chassis. I don't have one yet, but if I was going to get one, it'd be one of this type. Way better than the SCX24 or others in this size range. And, to be frank, I don't care at all for the body choices in the SCX24 lineup. This little Enduro24 looks like a passable clone of a 1990 or so Ford Ranger extended cab, which is definitely more appealing than jeep anything.
    looking at this and the RGT 1:24 crawler... am I seeing things, or are those two chassis basically identical? right down to the tires and the ESC/RX combo unit.
    Also, that clip at the end literally had me guffawing out loud. Primo!
