    This is another excellent review. As I watched I kept thinking there are less expensive crawlers who have less features, but are better crawlers.

    • @RCTNT
      @RCTNT  6 месяцев назад +1

      Yes! It was ambitious, but lacking in refinement. I think if rgt today tried this they'd do better. It's not bad, just didn't quite come together well enough to be 'good'.

      @@RCTNT You might've said this previously. It was as if some guys sitting around a board room saying if we put all these features on a crawler, it's going to be truly good.

    Great video. lol...Don't give up on it!!! I have the same truck i put some Injora 1.9 comp pins with RCAWD cyberwheels . with a hobbywing fusion se. That thing will crawl over anything!!!

    • @RCTNT

      It'll be better with those upgrades, no doubt 👍

    Reckons, if you change tyre,s , For grip, it could do all 6, those are the same stock wheels on the rgt rescuer 😁👍

    • @RCTNT
      @RCTNT  6 месяцев назад

      Possible, but I don't know if that would be enough to get it there. Could be!

    I’m interested to see if they’ll update it or make a newer version

      If they had another go at it with their current build approach, it could be very good indeed, yeah.

    I ordered one of these on AliExpress a couple years ago for a great price by stacking coupon codes. I received a small box with loctite in it. The seller claimed it was a mistake and insisted on a refund and told me to go ahead and reorder... At full price.
    I took that as a sign that I didn't really want this thing.

    • @RCTNT
      @RCTNT  6 месяцев назад

      At least you got some free loctite out of it, lol

      I had an Aliexpress store do that once. Tried to up the price. I declined and reported it in the reason for canceling.

    The axles don't drop down enough? Either different shock holes or longer shocks?

    • @RCTNT
      @RCTNT  6 месяцев назад

      I don't mind it as it is, but you do have that option, yes. There are many shock hoop holes to tune with.

    • @rccrawlingaddict207
      @rccrawlingaddict207 6 месяцев назад

      @@RCTNT OH.... 7:40 tuning is what makes them better.

    • @RCTNT
      @RCTNT  6 месяцев назад

      I am aware, lol.
      What I mean is, I don't think that level of tuning will help this rig. Getting those axles rotated a bit will help though. I think that would be a good start.
      Getting some internal springs in the shocks to lower the ride height without compromising max wheel reach might be an idea, but you'd want longer shocks in that case, as you suggested.

      @@RCTNT I just was noticing the belly getting hung up in both failed spots. Even though the drive shafts are rubbing it was belly hung. It looks like a nice rig for sure. The skid looks just like the axial 10-2 skid. I guess maybe a flat skid could help it as well. Anyway.....nice rig!

    • @RCTNT
      @RCTNT  6 месяцев назад +1

      You're right, it does scrape and struggle a bit! I really think lengthening those top links would help it out a bit, to start. Playing with the skid angle and different rails would yield results IMO too, but at what point does it stop being a Tracer (and also, how much do you care if that fundamental element of the model is changed)? Definitely ways to improve it, and it'd reward a good tinker and test.

    How would you have the 4 wheel steer set up or it more it don't stay when changing

    • @RCTNT
      @RCTNT  6 месяцев назад +1

      A second toggle, thumb wheel or tilt switch for the rear would be better. Cycling through modes is the destabilising issue. My other 4ws rigs have independent control and it's so much better - though that's extra manufacturer cost that many customers may not even appreciate, so it's a reasonable approach they've got here. Maybe I just miss the better approach because I'm used to it!

    • @damienjones7185
      @damienjones7185 6 месяцев назад +1

      @RCTNT I'm still new to 4ws have try both and still try to find out what work best for me.
      Thinking your way is best as long as I remember it

    • @RCTNT
      @RCTNT  6 месяцев назад +1

      I've found that with practice, after a little while it just clicks in your head and you no longer have to think about what you want it to do, you just do it. Satisfying 😎

    Videos good trucks not that impressive for the money. You would be better off building one. But not everybody can build one from the ground up.
