From other shows he's made, I learned one of Gordon"s favorite foods is traditional English fish and chips. I had to see how this master perfects it for himself. I make traditional Italian fried baccalà at Christmastime. The fish is dried salted cod that's soaked for 3 to 4 days, then battered and pan fried in a blend of corn and olive oils. No added salt needed. Oh, yeah.

I cook a lot, but not professionally. You constantly handle hot things or burn your fingers and hands. Eventually you get used to it and your skin on your fingers and hands doesn't react to minor burns and you really don't feel it after the initial ouch unless it's a bad one.

Ayoooo Gordon rolled that mint leaf like a 420 professional.
Lmfao
College life still influencing us all bruh
I love how chefs can handle food that’s straight out of boiling oil
I cook a lot, but not professionally. You constantly handle hot things or burn your fingers and hands. Eventually you get used to it and your skin on your fingers and hands doesn't react to minor burns and you really don't feel it after the initial ouch unless it's a bad one.
@@cmdrkatlangley isn’t that crazy how your body can adapt out of necessity? I worked at Starbucks for a couple of years, and I remember I got to the point where I wouldn’t feel piping hot milk on my skin
@@AnnieBrackett88 Ive seen chinese chefs turn over fried things while they are in boiling hot oil.

Cooks French fries: "super healthy."
THIS!
I think he is getting old, cuz what he said was nonsense
He was saying it’s healthier when you remove it from the oil and put it back in so your fries aren’t just absorbing fat
you can cook fries in healthier fats.
Mikey Unovapix Correct; more expensive oils like olive or avocado are loaded with mono and polyunsaturated fats, which are actually good for you, compared to vegetable oil or lard which are loaded with saturated fats.
Try frsing in olive oil, just try it xD
Gordon: Frozen peas
Jack: Nice
TheLOLpl0x noice
Lol
"Super healthy" Alright Gordon let's not get ahead of ourselves here.

Swimming in Olive oil, but its olive oil! it is super healthy right?

1 dislike? was it from Gorden himself because of the frozen peas
Bob frozen peas are awesome.
taste exactly the same as fresh peas..
I don't think I've ever had fresh peas, tbh...
fuck me!
if the current batch of fresh peas are that good, frozen peas can be better than the fresh stuff
Peas freeze very well.
Has anyone els watched this more than once and never makes them anyway?
I remember the first time I watched this it motivated me to buy a mini fryer and try and make fish and chips for lunch and I failed horribly😂 Gordon makes it look way too easy
I actually tried the mashed peas and they go amazingly with fried eggs, also the potatoes are amaying with crisp chicken fillets

Looking for this comment🤭♨️
Way better comment would be
Me: scared of oil splash
Gordan: oil go brrrrrr
Upon seeing it, I started looking for this comment 🤣🤣
Aw dammit, forgot to season my oven inside and out.
Gordon's best demos are showing the best way to make simple dishes better - like tomato soup, or scrambled eggs.
LET DE NIFE DO DA WORK
WhatUpFam LET THE DICK DO THE WORK..best advice I ever got from him :)
WhatUpFam coming from a chef(me) with 11 years of experience...its true the weight of the knife should always do the work, thats also depending on the sharpness of the knife your using as well...
Conscious (Mattzedreh) Knife. Knife sharpener. Sharpen the knife. Cut your fingers off. Seasoning. Salt and pepper. Done
I just can't afford the knife's wage, so I shall cut it myself
i love you
not enough fries. SEND IT BACK
Right? More fries, less peas.
I don’t see any fries

Remus Lupin what's this Nino joke I see it in all of his videos
kris lanc It's from one of the episodes where someone was mocking Nino (the owner) and he said "He doesn't do anything! He just walks to every table and says 'Hi! My name's _Ninooooo!_ ' " Now at the end of every Kitchen nightmare video the editor sticks the nino clip on the end since they know it's a meme. Just look up nino and you'll find it
-Lightly season the fish with salt and pepper
-also season the bowls and olive oil with salt and pepper
-season the cameran with salt and pepper
-season himself with a little touch of salt, pepper, oliveoil, and butter

I almost throw up doing this uhhhhh XDD
My 13 year old made this for us all by himself. It was better than any fish and chips we've had. Better than any restaurant. Thanks for making these recipes so simple and accessible.
Irresponsible, if true. Which it isn't.
@@monkeytennis8861I'm sorry but have you never seen a 13 year old who can cook?
