    Hi Marion and I hope you are having a great new year with your family👌I have the Rongpeng R500 it came with 5 different setups and while it does a great job on the WoW (sealer) and base I find it lays more texture or peel than I'm used to which I suppose is fine for OEM finishes but for what I do I need a flat finish so it's not as good as my favourite budget gun which is the Astro Euro-HE 1.3, maybe I'm just spoilt with my nice X5500 and WS400 and all my other good guns. I would say the R500 would be an ideal gun if you are starting out👍

    Found you on Paint Society, just bought a spray gun for a black paint job. Want to do the hood, quarter panel, back bumper and top of the car. Question is, should I start sanding with 400 grit then hit it with 600? I just used 220 on it just to see how it would look and I got down to metal in one area. It's a project car, not my main but it's a good car. I have been listening to all of the steps. I think I'll do one panel at a time since I've never painted before. Any advice on anything else I might need? I see yall used sealer on a job, do I need that? I'll send before and after photos so you can see my work. Appreciate you and Paint Society...

      Welcome! The sand paper you use is determined by the damage on the car. If there is no damage you can start with 600 grit. If you have dents, scratches, and rock chips. You can start with 180. After you fixed the damaged area refine with 320 up to 400 grit before primer.

    This guy showing paint work in a booth is useless the environment in a paint booth is the same every time ..... Not everyone has a paint booth and with different temps/humidity so the paint/clear gasses off slower or faster ..

    • @user-un5my5bw4j
      @user-un5my5bw4j 6 месяцев назад +1

      How is it useless? Majority of people who paint cars do it in a booth. If you are doing a show car and want a perfect finish you must be in a booth or some kind of area that is self contained, very clean, with air flow for over spray. Without air flow you will have over spray right over top of everything you just painted. Especially when you go to clear coat.
