    The nostalgia I get from just hearing the sound affects of the rookie’s boots and the Ghost screams…I was 7 when this game came out and I remember downloading the demo out of curiosity on the ps3. I’ve heard of ghostbusters but I’ve never seen the movies at the time. The library demo level horrified me and yet I kept replaying it over and over. I asked my dad about Ghostbusters and he showed me the two movies. I don’t remember how I finally got a copy of the game but it was probably 2 year after the game already came out. Still, even 2 years after my fascination came right back. This game got me into Ghostbusters even though I’m part of the “newer” generation. I may have tons of nostalgia for Batman Arkham Asylum and City…but I’ve replayed Ghostbusters at least 5 times as much, THIS was my childhood game. I’m so glad you have this channel🙏and showing me that other people also love this game.

    Bill Murray was his trademark oddball self when recording his lines for this game. Apparently he stipulated that he would record his lines by himself with no other cast members in attendance, and didn't even finish recording his lines for the game. One day he just decided not to show up and that was the end of his involvement with it. So they had to work with what they had. At this point he and Ramis hadn't spoken for about 16 years.

    Sometimes I feel like this is the true third movie, and we already have it. It has most of the original cast, doing what they do, in a tone more similar to the original films.
    And I have to make a confession: I base that off what I've heard about this game. I already have it on steam, but I'm honestly going to save it until AFTER Afterlife comes out. That way if the movie disappoints me, I at least have one more good story with the ghostbusters. And all of them but Lewis, at that.

    The movie did Spangler justice. He was in it the whole time, you just couldn't see him. Egon actually had a full part in the movie. I liked how they did it.

      Are you kidding? Afterlife was insanely disrespectful but using a cgi Ramis. Using CGI to bring back dead actors without their permission is the height of offensiveness.

    • @dbsti3006
      @dbsti3006 2 года назад +3

      @@HOTD108_ Offensiveness? You've gotta be trolling. There's no way you can be more offended about it than the Ramis family who were and are very close to Reitman. You sound like a 2016 Ghostbusters fan because it had women making men look stupid. Carry on your social justice opinionated man hating, "I'm offended" garbage on Twitter where you depressed miscreants hang out and pat each other on the backs with your "I'm offended" Olympics where whoever gets the most likes and retweets wins the gold in a useless mindset. You being offended does not mean Ramis would have been offended, and it doesn't mean that his family was offended. YOU are offended and nobody else.

    • @darkhorizon61

      @@HOTD108_ Jason Reitman had Ramis' family permission to use him as CGI, its not disrespectful. Reitman/Ramis family are very close to this day. Ghostbusters 2016 was more disrespectful to the franchise than Afterlife, Afterlife brought back the original cast and made it what it is, a love letter to the original movies. I'm looking forward to the franchise to continue and for Jason Reitman to have full creative control because he knows what he's doing

      The cgi ghost part isn’t what made it disrespectful to the Egon character. The film’s complete ignorance to his character is what was disrespectful. I’ll point out a scene from the second movie (which clearly the studio didn’t give the respect/time it deserves). After Egon, Ray, and Winston go through the slime, Ray and Winston are about to beat the hell out each other until Egon looks at his hands and yells “take your clothes off”. This is a man who understands the reality of the situation, has an inherent trust built with his team, and they do so without hesitation. Slime now off, the rage is gone. Flash forward to afterlife. Ray says Egon went crazy spewing bible crap then stole all the ghostbusters equipment and that he can rot in hell. I don’t buy it. If Egon believed something big was coming, Ray for sure would believe him.
      That’s not even getting into the whole he ditched his whole family but stalked them, knew they were struggling financially but didn’t help them. They did my fav character so dirty.

    • @dbsti3006
      @dbsti3006 2 года назад

      @@Segwo Ignorance to his character? I don't think you've seen the first two movies. Egon was ahead of the game and highly intelligent. At the beginning of this movie, he was intelligent and thinking way ahead of the other Ghostbusters. He had everything planned out. It went as planned. I don't get your criticism. There was absolutely nothing that disrespected the character, or Ramis himself. This was the best thing they could have possibly done. I'd agree with you if you said the characters criticizing him the whole movie before knowing the deal, then yes. However, that's why Egon as a ghost hit the audience harder. Because it showed Egon wasn't crazy. Even during the movie, I knew he was never crazy.
