I still play through this game (remastered) once a year. I watch the first two films, then I play the game.

This is amazing! The game needed more of this. Heck, they should of made a series of games with the original characters. Big mistake that they didn't.

I think the main reason they didn't is because this game was stuck in development hell for a while

I really wish these had been included in the game, some of these are fantastic!
Make a deluxe version, including deleted cutscenes and beta gameplay and also include more unlockable features
Like more colors of the proton packs and flight suits, and you could also add a cool dlc
Please give us a sequel to this. RGB, Afterlifeverse, something! No vr, no mobile, no asymmetrical multiplayer. Sure some form of multiplayer is fine. Be it co-op in the main game or a side thing like 2009, but prioratize a good solid game first. Just busters in large areas, maybe all of New York, bustin and trappin.
That would be awesome! Do another story in the art design of this game. Keep the multiplayer similar to the 2009 game and it would be great!
Get ready to join us folks still waiting for an ATC sequel.

I really like these cut scenes! Is it just me? Or does the dialog seem a bit more fluid, and closer to movie scenes?
I was thinking the same thing. Bill Murray seems more animated and not phoning it in as much.

Well to be fair, I recognize some of the dialogue being from the Wii version. But I still find it pretty good.

@@Under_And_Over_It I wish they would have remastered the Wii version for the switch at least. I had fun with that version. I couldn't really get into the other versions.

Wish they could redo the whole game with better graphics and those added cutsceans and add the parade level and really work on the multi-player levels because they were fun. These cutscenes made it feel more cinematic.
Yep. I wonder how much of the dialog was recorded for the parade level, and if there was any other levels planned that got dialog?
THAT would be worthy of a remaster title.
Of course, if there isn't any from Harold Ramis, don't use AI or anything to recreate his voice; see if you can get the gang back together if needed (probably Dan and Ernie will do it gladly), but don't AI Egon.
Never thought we'd ever see more from the lost Parade level! Shame the lighting wasn't finished, but so good to finally see footage from it!

Love that line from Egon. It's interesting to see Shandor was banished from our dimension instead of exterminated like in the final version. He was pushed back through a portal in this instead of exploding.
With that ending it could make this game still canon to the movies (supposedly they made this game non canon after the release of after but it could still very well fit into the canon with just some tweaks to the story of the game and movie)

Seeing Egon on the hood of the ecto was kinda creepy 😂.

12:04 Hoss sees that big ghost before anybody else. Really cool that they gave him a personality without him ever having to say a word.
The remastered version should have had extended scenes like these. AND a multiplayer mode. THAT would have been worth re-releasing it.
Whoa I love the first version of the final architect boss as a marble god with a hex-like halo behind its head @ 16:53. I always thought the design they used was too much of a stock-demon/devil. He wanted to be a god, and it's a more interesting Ghostbusters villain as a Zeus-like figure.
This form was in the concept art menu in the game, there was text that said “intentionally godlike” and “egotism” showing how shandor wanted to become a god and even looked more like a god than Gozer. It’s a shame they cut it, he really did look like a proper deity even Azetlors first concept has similar and more godlike.
The cutscene for the museum is 10x better than what we got
Still wild that these cutscenes were in the OG trailer sticking out like a sore thumb from the final release, thank god TCRF found that particular Xbox 360 build with the majority of these older cutscenes
All of these are better and feel more like the film than the actual cutscenes from the game.

I understand we have the new gb game but let the people enjoy the best ghostbusters videogame ever made!
People have started their own severs for the killzone games on PS2 and PS3 so i wouldn’t be surprised if the same happens for this game

The feeling when this game was released... And it was a great game, despite this and that. And maybe the best online experience compared to other games; teamwork, and without cheats or players fighting; there was a reason for an online membership: It was legit fun. People even played so new players could unlock all of their online achievements. A whole night could easily stay on that game. Going solo was also immersive. This game is the greatest gift for GB fans.
Fun to see those deleted scenes, but they did good to not add them.
Now if only they would release a version of the movies with the added deleted scenes in the movies. This is fantastic though. Thanks.
I was only a kid when this game out, honestly one of the best video games I’ve ever played!
There were some strong parts in this. A couple cuts I understand because the VO didn’t turn out well, but they are great for the most part. I feel the ending scene was better here.

Definitely need another game/sequel using the same characters, I know it would be difficult without the wonderful Harold Ramis but maybe they could use his voice from the 2009 game. This is the only Ghostbusters done right. Great story line!
Did you also record any of the gameplay from the early build you played to get these cutscenes? If so, how different was it to the final game?
Not yet. Looking to get that up and running very soon, thus far, have just been tearing through the data files.

these cutscenes actually look better than the final versions that are over rendered, the streams look better in these and too jagged like after effects in the finalized look.

I wish the Remastered version at least included the PS2 or Wii version of the game.
Some of the unrealesed cutscenes are in the ghostbusters but in the version of ps3 or xbox360
I much prefer the look of the proton streams here than the final cut scenes.

Who knows they could use audio from harold ramis as ego's research audio logs in ghostbusters frozen empire sort of a way to communicate any necessary paranormal information to the new team and the old team but that's just an idea from me
If I had one wish for this game it would have been a character creation option for the Rookie. All us overgrown kid's getting to live out our ghostbuster fantasy. But I get it would have been too much trouble because of the pre-rendered cutscenes.
I got to say this actually looks a lot better than it did in the actual game that I do have in the 360 version and the remastered. I do like on the remastered that they do the behind the scenes stuff. It would be cool if they could go back and do a series X version of it maybe possibly remastered again I know that sounds dumb but change a little bit of movement mechanics bring back multiplayer. This is the best Ghostbusters game ever. Maybe one day they can make another one. And one more thing they need to make a game that you can actually drive the ecto-1a or 1B

Unaware that sakis720 had found these prior. Have featured a mod or two of his previously through the site, so the name certainly rings a bell. Came across these unknowingly after recently researching the game's early development, finding the prototype build and demo.

the scene where they are heading for the museum, the music sounded alot like it was from Stripes, and not the Ghostbusters soundtrack
There's good reason for that as both scores were done by Elmer Bernstein.
I can tell these were from before the Activision acquisition where they shelved the game. They managed to save the game by going to Atari, but that allowed Rainmaker - Who made the cutscenes - extra time to polish the scenes and even cut some of the stuff. The joke about New York's seedy past in New Jersey was beautiful. They should have kept that. That and Mulligan's pimp hat. They needed to keep that, too.

Still best ghostbusters game, the remaster version also missed one big feature that I loved, the sixaixs move controls on ps3 version where you had to tilt the controller to control a ghost into a trap it was a small edition, but i really missed it in the new version.

I love the fact that in the clips of the Ghostbusters video game I like the part when the Ghostbusters fight new ghosts and how the ghost take possession of people and turn them into a ghost fighting machine, nice seeing the Ghostbusters video game again with new battles with ghosts. 👻🚫😁👍🏻
The only part of this game that urked me a little bit, was Bill Murray's performance, it always sounded like he was whispering his lines, which really broke the emersion for a bit...........but aside from that, this game is, by no possible questioning, Ghostbusters 3

I wish the parade was still part of the game and not a deleted level. It would have been so cool capturing ghosts at a parade and capturing and fighting against possessed parade balloons.

I will always have a massive love for this game, but even I’m impressed with what was cut.
Based on the cutscenes alone, I think this was originally intended to be a full on remaster with reworked cutscenes, voices, and even an extra level as indicated by the parade cutscenes. I’d kill to see the original remastered version in its full glory!
Pretty cool stuff, I wonder if it’s possible to incorporate these into the game.
Some of these look like in-engine cutscenes. I would say they were temp, but the animation and detailing for these are too high quality to be temp.
My guess is all cutscenes were originally in-engine, then later on, Atari or Columbia gave them extra money to remake the cutscenes with a VFX company(Rainmaker/Mainframe Entertainment).
I def prefer in-game scenes in this era, it doesnt look so jarring when you switch back to gameplay

I'm really happy for the game being ported to today's consoles but I really wish there's more than just the remastered title.
I love this game I did it on professional mode which it's a hardest mode and I got the are you a God achievement on my Xbox 360 game

they should have just really made ghostbusters 3 although harold and bill aren't on speaking terms when this game was made 😥
