A growing number of U.S. citizens are considering emigration. According to the 2022 Gallup polls, as many as 15 percent of #Americans say they want to leave the country permanently, and even more say they would consider expatriating at the appropriate time.
CGTN spoke to Americans who have moved to Lisbon, Portugal to find out why they decided to leave the U.S. for good. From the rise of a violent far right to the daily experience of #gunviolence, they found it increasingly difficult to feel at ease in their daily lives. Having lived in a culture of fear for so long, one interviewee said it even took her a while to get used to moving to a safe environment.

The majority of Americans are poorly educated, and it is getting worse each year.
I plan on immigrating to Mexico from America. 1. They have a non interventionist foreign policy. 2. They have comprehensive government healthcare funded by taxation. 3. Secularism is written into their constitution. 4. My American dollar will stretch 5. Its warm 6. Same time zone so it wont interfere with sports. 7. Multiple political parties 8. Easy to travel back to America to see friends and family

Back in 2020 there is a active shooter near my neighborhood and then he went to my friends neighborhood a few blocks away from their house holding his girlfriend as a capture. I was home alone I quickly went outside lock the gate and lock the door because my mom was on her way to pick up my siblings. I came out until neighbors came check and police is outside. He then went to my friends neighborhood still holding his girlfriend as a capture with a gun. During that moment we all don't know if we're gonna live or make it out. Midnight he was shot by police. My other friend went to the hotel to stay and my other friend( her whole family) stay over at my place because we don't know if we are gonna be the next one. We are all terrify. There is alot of school shooting that year. Both the shooter and his girlfriend died. PLS banned gun laws. So there won't be a next Uvalde school shooting. Don't repeat history.
We literally cannot ban guns at this point with the history of our highly corrupted government over the last 5 decades. The government sizes for more authoritarian control, what would start with good intentions is seemingly always warped into ways to control over the free will of the last of the people whose allegiance is to uphold our constitution. Not any political ideology. They've allowed criminality to run rampant and propaganda to make it look as though they have no surveillance watching over the selling of guns. If criminal murderers invade your home. That is all you have left as a right to defend your loved ones. We could easily protect schools. The wealthy are doing so. But everyone else, still makes it an issue of guns rather focus on how elite secure their campuses and protect their children who will inherit their wealth.
It will only get worse. The USA is circling the drain.

They sold everything but what they don’t tell you is that they are going to another country with no skills or jobs. Their fund run dry and they end up going back to America. Unless you have your business, work remote, or have tons of money saved up, it’s hard to move out of America, or everyone would be moving out if it was that easy.

I am not comfortable being a male in the USA. I am in my 50's so my age shows that I think of women as the "fairer sex." I have no idea how women even deal with living in the USA. Summer of 2027 is when I bug out to South America. Portugal looks nice.
