Perfect choice of cylinders for a bus. I found out that new AS41 engine cases are being manufactured and sold in Brazil by a VW OEM supplier, Motorav. Permatex Aviation sealer is better everywhere else; for example between case halves, oil pump, etc. For the cylinder bases a nice RTV sealant is recommended. Great call on using Permatex on the pushrod tube seals. Also recommended under the washers on the lower head head studs to prevent oil seepage from the rocker arm area.
Is Motorav the same as Auto Linea? I know new brazilian cases are Auto Linea branded but retailers re-brand them in the USA Thank you for all your advice as always!
@@onehappykombi No; Autolinea makes the cases in aluminum. They also make heads and rebrand their products for EMPI and CB Performance. Those 044 heads are rebranded Autolinea or at least they used to be. These Motorav cases are the AS41 magnesium alloy as on OEM.
