I want to thank you for sharing. I was going to try and make the gas station using wood! It was a good thing I watched your video to make it using cardboard. That would make it a whole lot easier than cutting out wood. I don't have to use wood because it's only going to sit on a shelf with my model car's I have. This old run down Gas Station will look great with my old car's I have. I do have just about everything you used as far as cardboard, many different types of paint, clear plastic for the window's, plenty of popsicle sticks, screen, I guess I can print out the signs. The pumps I can make those out of block's if wood to the shape of old filling pumps. Thanks again, 👍🏽
WOOT! I've got a page of around-the-house chores for tomorrow, but I'm going to sneak off to try this horizontal boards trick. LOL'd when you cut out the side of the tissue box. Thanks.
HAHA! Have fun with your boards...Let me know how they turned out please? I would love to know how you found the technique worked when you tried it. :)
Doesn't look too bad?? I certainly think you don't give yourself enough credit. I love watching your skills improve with every video!! Thank you for sharing!! And got a huge laugh about you having to cut out the side of a full tissue box!
It's looking pretty right, already. Only thing I'd suggest is a bunch of license plates/number plates, tacked on a wall. I suggest the open expanse, under the "Tire Shop" sign. I presume you're already planning to include some old gas/petrol pumps, and maybe a rusting junker car. Other than those, I've got nuthin' to add
@@CampaignTerrain Oh that's excellent advice TY, I'd never have thought of the licence plates, and I really like the idea of a "junker car"...That will simplify things for me. You have given me a lot of food for thought, thank you!! :)
this is awesome. you should have more confidence in you e voice, it sounds like your pulling yourself down. i dont mean that in a bad way, your work is brilliant and im so glad i stumbled across your channel. keep up the good work
Hey there Aphrodite, I use a printer at my local library to print my decals. I just google what I want to use, copy and paste it into a word document and then make the decals at various sizes to ensure I get a variety (So it will be correctly sized) And then I print them out. PS- I use the library printer because it's a high-quality printer and they come out really nicely. When you think outside the box, you can print ANYTHING you like for dioramas. Wall paper, art, paintings, signs etc etc. Have fun with it. 🙂
@@dinkydioramas8349 thanks we have a brand new library and I'm shire they have good printer's. That's where I'm going to get my decals printed out after I get the gas station almost done so I know what sizes I need to make it look right Thanks again
"you don't have to be good at building...you just have to be good at fixing mistakes" that "Dinky" quote made me subscribe! Very nice work
