    And it all comes together! Best advice ever - "let things fall naturally". Thumbs up!!

    The tile came out great, and the license plates and the no smoking sign looks so good. Really impressed.

    Cozy little gas station.. and I like the fact that you use common remedies, not bought. Only small thing is that I doubt a Shell Station would have a Sinclair, BP, Mobil Oil or any other competitive gas/oil brands sign anywhere close to its perimeters :)

    Looks so good. All your layering and grunging up really sells it. The pseudo illusion, of the interior sales racks is amazing. Your signage, especially the posters and that standing oil sign, is so spot-on! And, hey! You added the license plates. Noice! 👏

      Thank you, I am happy with the outcome as a whole, but it feels a little bit as though it's cheating my way to a great finish...Without those decals, it would be a very different work...But those little number plates...They really are a nice touch, even if it is paper glued to cardboard lol.

    • @CampaignTerrain

      It's definitely not cheating. It worked out beautifully, and was a simple way to get your art produced. Most expertise is mastering ways to add speed and ease to projects

      @@CampaignTerrain I am approaching maximum speed and ease...I feel I need to be mindful of how much "ease" I allow in my work as I may fall into habits of utter laziness...Thank you for you kind words and support...I appreciate it more than you know!

    amazing work! I'm learning a lot, thank you for sharing. Did you ever think of 3D scanning & wax printing your work to be cast in metal?

    • @dinkydioramas8349
      @dinkydioramas8349  2 года назад

      It's never occurred to me no, I never think above a budget of $0. I am truly unsure as to how I would create my work as a cast as it's in the 1.24 scale. Could you please elaborate for me?...I would love to understand what you mean. My work is very simple and based on moment to moment creation, casting sounds complicated, yet very interesting.

    • @corvins8262

      @@dinkydioramas8349 By taking enough pictures of an object you can digitalize it (photogrammetry) and rescale it how you want on the computer combine scans and then 3D print the form for casting. I come from a jewelers background but with this new technology I am able to branch into your kind of miniature art skills and supplies to make prototypes for my work. And at the same time all 3Dimensional artists can use their existing skills to branch into my art. It's very interesting and has many different applications for many artists. I tried to explain it in a video, I hope it's okay to post this here but since you asked.

    Tell you something, I cant get polymer clay to work. I usually burn it so I stick to milliput.

    • @dinkydioramas8349
      @dinkydioramas8349  7 месяцев назад

      Iv'e had a lot of trouble with polymer clay too. It burns, breaks, cracks...too hard, too soft..It's a fickle thing. Maybe it's the brand of clay, I'm not a huge fan but it's good for making specific objects that cant be made any other way. I've never heard of milliput, it sounds like a better alternative, I shall google it ASAP! 😆
