    Giving incentives to produce more babies wouldn't work. Countries like Japan, china, Russia where fertility rate is around 1.5 declared incentives for babies but failed to increase fertility rate , on contrary their population begin declining at much faster rate. Once population crash starts it can't be reverse .

    • @shekharkapoor9208
      @shekharkapoor9208 Год назад +25

      You are correct. Simply offering incentives for having babies may not be effective in increasing fertility rates, as the factors influencing reproductive behavior are complex and multi-faceted. In some cases, incentives may not overcome broader social, economic, and cultural trends that are contributing to declining fertility rates. Additionally, incentives alone may not address the root causes of declining fertility, such as declining marriage rates, increasing labor force participation among women, and shifting attitudes toward childbearing and childrearing. The challenge of declining fertility is a complex and ongoing issue for many countries and requires a multi-faceted and holistic approach that considers the social, economic, and cultural factors at play.

    Main reason for decline in fertility rate is stress and anxiety. As countries focus more or capitalism and gdp... People are rewarded based on skills and we all accepted it.. Now people are always in high stress and focused on skills development and lost instinct to reproduce and life is more stressful and challenging than what is expected. A person who is not sure if he or she can manage their own need in this current world where firing happens in a night without any notice.. How a person can be sured that he or she can take care of a new life.... And i have not added high cost of raising babies... So now the rich and capitalistic people who worry about cheap labour are discussing how to maintain cheap labor in this scam economy... And trust they will go down to any way like producing test tube babies, human cloning etc.

      There are several factors that will play a role in India's ability to survive and maintain its population, despite a declining fertility rate and aging population. These include government policies aimed at encouraging larger families, increasing workforce productivity, and improving healthcare. Additionally, initiatives aimed at attracting and retaining young talent, as well as promoting entrepreneurship, could help to offset some of the challenges posed by an aging population. Furthermore, advancements in technology and automation may play a role in maintaining economic growth and supporting an aging population. However, it's important for the government to implement comprehensive policies that address these challenges and ensure long-term sustainability.

This caused a poverty boom, also living standards were worse back then compared to now. Improved living standards, higher cost of living and better healthcare has made the society and individuals rethink their decisions before having kids. I wasn’t aware of how life turns after having a child. Thank god ! I didn’t give in ans stopped at one. If I was well informed or aware…I wouldn't even consider having children now. I wouldn't be prepared to work full-time, farm my children out to someone else and try to juggle what little time I have left in the day trying to shop, clean, cook and look after my children just to provide the government with the next generation of workers. I stayed home until my child were of school age because I wanted to spend time with her - this isn't a possibility for most people now. Then there's the issue of what kind of future is in store for children born today - little to no chance of ever owning their own homes, crippling financial pressures, a declining standard of living and the threat of climate breakdown. Maybe the powers that be need to start looking at us as people instead of viewing us as a stock of breeding draft animal
