I'm glad youtube is recommending more Thronefall content. I've been doing ET runs on my channel for about 2 months now with a daily upload. I think you should do ET run and try to get as high as you can because you select 2 perks at the start of a map that carry over to the next maps. It really lets you play with all the perks and see the synergies. The ET maps also add in extra buildings to the older maps (like blacksmiths and temples) so you can have the better tools to meet challenges. Also when you talked about the perks: War horse (the trample effect) scales in damage with modifiers (Its easy to see this when playing with the temple blessings) however, the return damage to you is unchanged. This makes its great for running down enemies but make sure you don't run into a wave of 200 peasants without dipping out to heal. Don't ask me how I know... The house attacks is great and I think when you unlock the later perk resilient residences (double house hp and houses always pay taxes) combo it to make your early game house expansions much stronger. And finally one thing to mention about your archer range perk: It also applies to scarecrow anti air projectiles. So your mills can shoot from a much further distance away.
Hi, thanks so much for your comments! I believe I'm the first person in my Discord to play Thronefall, so I haven't been able to acquire any other perspectives for this game yet. Your insight is very helpful. - War Horse is a lot better than I thought then. I was skeptical about adding retaliation damage in a game where your health can drop so quickly as is. But sounds like I can make it work so long as I don't get too cocky lol. - I really dig the idea of utilizing houses as an early-game foothold, glad to hear it holds up. It seems I can forgo towers for quite a while with Fortified Houses, utilizing that money instead to bolster other areas first. - I've never taken anything other than the improved fields perk on the mills haha, but that's a nice tip. I generally try to limit-test and greed out as much econ as I can. Then at some point the game puts me in my place, and then I'll start thinking about appropriate defences. Of course, I'm also playing with very few modifiers, and I know I won't have as much luxury once I start upping the ante. I look forward to seeing how the runs play out later down the line.
i would love to see a video each for your first time through both of the levels you say you havent seen yet! just in case theres more surprise bosses or such it'd be neat to see your live reaction!
You know I wasn't sure how much more Thronefall I was going to record, but your request has swayed me. It'll take some time as I still have a Wildfrost video to work on, but I will work on this afterwards. :)
You said that you can't target the boss just kill the spawns. However, you can attack the boss to lower its hp. This is also preferable because it stops spawns when it reaches a break point and moves. So if you attack it you are essentially killing the adds before they spawn. I have a video on my channel where I did the boss fight with the trample ability and quickly killed each health bar with my horse. You still did great considering you are new to the game keep playing man
I had no idea I could target the boss, wow. Just got too caught up in the commotion to properly give it consideration. I'll definitely check out your channel after I've completed the main campaign! Thanks again brother 👍👍
