hmmm, nothing immediately sticks out, which is a good thing. The gameplay loop is simple but refreshingly so; I'm not looking for anything too complex with this sort of title. All the things I can think of are minor visual/UI/QoL improvements. Such as: - There are certain elements of the UI that I believe could communicate information better. - I wish the truck visually reflected its upgrades/parts. - I really wish we could rename companions! Also companions are addressed by their occupation, not their name, for whatever reason.

@runehawk6903 I see. Those are some good points. Is the story and side stories any good as well so far?

Hi, nice to meet you! Thank you for your comment, I really appreciate it. Yes, I've been running Siphon on McGinnis and it seems to really put in the work. Though I've been wondering if Toxic Bullets fulfills that anti tank/heal role better for 3k, perhaps coupled with Healbane, which is arguably a must have versus Abrams, Geist, maybe Lash, and any Leech-centered strategy. All strong items, but I don't think they make the most sense on Abrams, due to his low rate of fire and inability to proc spirit damage from range. Still a lot to test though. Gotta say it's been really fun workshoping builds and trying new combinations!

Hi, thanks so much for your comments! I believe I'm the first person in my Discord to play Thronefall, so I haven't been able to acquire any other perspectives for this game yet. Your insight is very helpful. - War Horse is a lot better than I thought then. I was skeptical about adding retaliation damage in a game where your health can drop so quickly as is. But sounds like I can make it work so long as I don't get too cocky lol. - I really dig the idea of utilizing houses as an early-game foothold, glad to hear it holds up. It seems I can forgo towers for quite a while with Fortified Houses, utilizing that money instead to bolster other areas first. - I've never taken anything other than the improved fields perk on the mills haha, but that's a nice tip. I generally try to limit-test and greed out as much econ as I can. Then at some point the game puts me in my place, and then I'll start thinking about appropriate defences. Of course, I'm also playing with very few modifiers, and I know I won't have as much luxury once I start upping the ante. I look forward to seeing how the runs play out later down the line.

You know I wasn't sure how much more Thronefall I was going to record, but your request has swayed me. It'll take some time as I still have a Wildfrost video to work on, but I will work on this afterwards. :)

spike was garbage when your cards always got injured if they died in battle but now that they dont unless you choose the bell for it spike becomes alot better

It's a blast! Been grinding it out. Very punishing if you mess up your spacing though. HP is a critical resource, since there are very few ways of recovering it over the course of the run. But I enjoy problem-solving the positions. Reminds me of chess in a way.

​@@runehawk6903Other few question. Can you find more of the same charm in one run, other than debuff charm? Better Slay the Spire or Wildfrost? If they are gonna make a new clan, what charateristic or mechanic you think would have?

@@stegosandrosos1291 You cannot find the same charm again in a run. You can kinda use this to gauge the potential worth of an upcoming charm merchant or charm machine. For example, if you go to a charm merchant and you see four really bad charms, those charms are now out of the pool. So now, when you go to the next shop, the odds of you getting a better charm for your run is increased. I don't really like saying one game is better than the other. Slay the Spire offers more content, more depth, and more challenge, so by those metrics its got more to it. But Wildfrost is its own thing, and I personally enjoy it more than StS. The gameplay feel, the artstyle, the mechanics are all right up my alley. I'd like to see more discard tools in this game. Clunkmasters kind of has some discard cards but it's not a full archetype. Maybe some tools for hand buff/manipulation as well. The only thing Wildfrost has Critical Charm, which doubles a card's effects if the card is on the right-most side of your hand. I would like to see more tools for changing card position in hand, and giving those cards buffs. Like the "Prepare" mechanic from Griftlands.

@@runehawk6903 1- Realy usefull information 2-I played Slay the Spire, you are correct for the depth simply for the greater total number of card and buff you can have, but, even tho i don't know how much was updated with content, Slay has 7 years. Wildfrost is pretty new so i think they are gonna update it with with new content and challenges. 3 It will be cool that a clun based on movement of card they will have a new key words for the position of the allies in the grid

3.1- I was even thinking about a new event. A scribe that swap one charaterstic of choice of one choosen card with one of another card Exemple: Card 1 (Apply 1 Snow, apply 1 Shroom) Card 2 (Apply 2 Shroom, When destroyed summon Dregg) Apply 1 Snow <--> Apply 2 Shroom Card 1(Apply 3 Shroom) Card 2(Apply 1 Snow, When destroyed summon Dregg) The limit of swap is that you can't touch the base chateristics of companions (You can't swap the When destroyed summon Dregg from Egg, Apply 1 Snow of the Snow pet, ecc). But you can swap charaterstics of the hero and of charms

Welcome back to Wildfrost! I'm really glad I was able to help out. I approach these sorts of games in a similar fashion, where I'll get some runs under my belt, develop my own playstyle, and form my own opinions. Then once I'm ready to come out from under my rock, I'll seek out someone else's perspective on the game. The result is always eye-opening -- I learn about things that I never even considered, and the resources they value might be very different to what I value. I then take those perspectives and use them to sharpen my own. But I do think it's really important to play on your own first. You only get to be a new player once, and having that organic, blind gameplay experience is a big part of the fun. Don't tell anyone, but I do actually have a video coming out today! It's even longer than this one, but if you're willing to persevere, it's a full run including the true ending boss. I still make a bunch of little mistakes (I've learned it's really hard not to when the cameras are rolling), but it's a solid run nevertheless.
