Seriously probably the most underrated vocals in the Metal world.
🤘🤘 Hell yea
better than the cookie monster nonsense of the last few years for sure!
I love the way John Bush sings. He's got a metal voice with some balls and projection
+rbagel55 i am wrong maybe but i think metallica wanted him as a lead vocalist.
No you are right, James Hetfield mentioned that in a interview
Sings a lot like Ronnie James Dio.
I agree. His performance is agressive and emphatic without going into the sandpaper on your ears territory.
Tons of soul and authority. Love John Bush. With Saint AND Anthrax.
Gen X in 2024 still listening and rocking. Who’s with me?
Going to see them tonight.
👋
@@Rocker1983how was it? 🎸
@@RachelHaning-dw8bm They were great.
I'm listening to it now , rock n roll

@@twinmusix cool...thank you🤘
Armored Saint is one of those bands that I'll always recommend when people ask me about which band to listen :D
That opening 8 second riff should be 8 minutes long...SO BAD ASS! I had the privilege of working for Mr. John Bush for three weeks back in 1998 when he was with Anthrax on a short tour run. He was not only an amazing ,spot on vocalist every single night, but a perfect gentleman and a pleasure to be around. I am sure he is no different today. What a performer and wonderful human being. ALL HAIL JB & THE SAINT!
Armored Saint/WASP/Metallica......Still the favorite show of my life, I ran out and bought March of the Saint the very next day. I'm almost 50 now and I still love these guys.
Saw the three bands together in Brooklyn back in the 80's. Amazing show!
I'm 52. first time I saw them in 86. Santa Monica Civic auditorium, opening for Loudness
January 31st 1985, my first Metallica show. Legendary.🤘
'88 or '89 with Motorhead in some shit San Pedro dive bar. Just epic.
Sounds like a kickass evening.
John Bush has to be one of the most underrated metal vocalists ever
Heaps better than Belladonna
That is not metal
m.ruclips.net/video/zYykkfe0EZA/видео.html
I put him right up there with DIO, Halford, and Dickenson!
@@Amuz3d2Deth I've never even heard of this guy makes me think of armor chili
Very underrated band!
MEyck97 I agree wholeheartedly... he's doesn't get credit for one of the best voices in the biz...it worked really well through the Anthrax years.
They were big in Utah.
John bush,awsome frontman
m.ruclips.net/video/zYykkfe0EZA/видео.html
Many years ago my buddies went to see them open for King Diamond on their Raising Fear tour. They said John's mic went out but he kept belting. And apparently you could still hear him!! he's always had a juggernaut of a voice. Side note, they also got to see Dave Prichard before he passed.
His voice hasn't changed at all, still sounds great!
m.ruclips.net/video/zYykkfe0EZA/видео.html
one of my favorite vocalist!
Still brilliant. Fav album! Best vocals, melodies, what a great solos!!!
takes me back to high school. I was probably the only one listening to Saint in my school. this tape was in heavy rotation on my paper route.
No shit lol I loved this band ! To this day i still think it sounds better than anything they could put out today ! It hasn't aged at all
2024 and I'm still here for this piece of magic!
I've never heard Armored Saint before. Shame on me! This is awesome!!
I used to listen to them back in the day, shame on me for stopping!
I've found this today, fire!!!
That was nine years ago from when you posted this comment. You've since redeemed yourself.
LOL ... shame on YOU ... it's never too late 🖤
m.ruclips.net/video/zYykkfe0EZA/видео.html
Love this song!! On a side note, Jeff Duncan (The guy with the Les Paul) was the guitarist for a band called Odin who were featured in a film called The Decline of Western Civilization Part 2: The Metal Years. Worth checking out if you haven't seen it!!
I’d forgotten about Odin!
I grew up in LA and frequented Gazzari’s Rainbow and all the other Sunset strip clubs back in the day.
I knew that guy looked familiar but I couldn't figure out where I had seen him.
yeah, Jeff is a great guy! Fun dude to hang with.
I remember when he started with Armored Saint.
Those were the days......lol.
One of the greatest Metal LP's of all time - God Bless Dave Pritchard. This band is beastly and still is.........This song is like a 10 megaton blast!
Underrated vocalist
James Hetfield heavily recruited him to join Metallica when they were starting out. Bush refused to leave his friends in Armored Saint.

Lyrics:
Fantasize exploding hands
Archaic science master plan
Hear the war cry watch the crow fly
When your body’s set It never fails
Then you hear the tale of tales
Bound and gagged You’re in a reign of fire
Spells and magic In the reign of fire
Complacency with all A strong need to bathe in gall
Hear the war cry Watch the crow fly
When your body’s set It never fails
Then you hear the tales of tales
Bound and gagged You’re in the reign of fire
Spells and magic In the reign of fire
Feel the hexes In the reign of fire
Find what sex is In the reign of fire
I sold my soul To give to you
I sold my soul let me pull you through
Never fails It never fails
Feel the hexes In the reign of fire
Find what sex is In the reign of fire.
Always liked the sound of these guys.
You're smart!
I forgot about this band until I watched a Hellraiser movie the other day. What a great band.
Hellraiser III
You know that John Bush is amazing when the great Layne Staley drew inspiration from him by covering Armored Saint before he was in AIC.
Just saw Armored Saint with W.A.S.P and both bands were AMAZINg.. had to say I slept on AS years ago, but they are on my heavy rotation now.
I saw them alongside W.A.S.P. last night, and it was incredible. I bought a sticker sheet for Armored Saint and a t-shirt for W.A.S.P.
Hell yeah, going to see them tonight in San Fran 🤘🤘
@@justinnatasmai4503 I was at that show. Awesome!
@@soorgolf1234 hell yeah! It was freaken amazing!! *First bump*
Bad Ass!! Caught them at Fresno, Cali show SOLD THE HELL OUT!!🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘💪💪💯💥
I never got into Armored Saint (Which means I never listened to them). HUGE REGRET. These guys kick insane ass. How the hell did I miss this?. One cool thing is that everything is new to me.
Armored Saint - Symbol of Salvation (great album)
Check it out
Better late than never, as the old saying goes.
As a product of the 80's, I can say these guys have kept it alive and well. Best metal around..hands down
John Bush has one of the best metal voices ever

This is Metal of the Old School my friends. Thanks.
This song is all sorts of Awesome! Great Metal Anthem
Hey old timer how's it going?
I like to think there's some parallel universe where John Bush took the Metallica gig, Cliff never died and they continued to make only legendary heavy metal records for the rest of their careers.
And Dave Mustaine never got kicked out...Bush on vocals, Hetfield and Mustaine on guitars, Cliff on bass and Lars in drums...holy shit
m.ruclips.net/video/zYykkfe0EZA/видео.html
James voice is great for Metallica no other singer makes sense
@@BrainWasherAttendent that's only because you are used to it, you would say the same if they'd had another singer
One of the best!!!
WEll, thanks to a miss click whilst browsing Amon Amarth videos, I have found out about this band.
Holy shit, this is awesome.
Awesome!!! This whole album rocks from beginning to end:) Seen them live back in '86 during their "Delirious Nomad" tour, at the Arlington Theater in Santa Barbara, Ca.. Saxon & Great white were also on the bill, & all 3 bands blew the roof off the house!
I saw Great White one night years ago in Rhode Island, they really brought the place down. They were on fire that night.
Sempre volta aqui para curtir o som da banda . Esse solo dos guitarristas acho sensacional a harmonia .O vocal do Bush casa muito bem com o som da banda. Grande vocalista !!!
I watched them at the shelter in Detroit and LOVED their music
This video brings back memories of the late 80's early 90's hanging out at my friends house on Saturday nights having a few beers and watching '"Headbangers Ball" on MTV . This was one of my favorites. This shit rocks!!!
Asking myself how i was able to not listen to a single amored saint song til now wtf thats awesome stuff
I heard this on the radio today and thought it was a Bush era Anthrax song I missed somehow. Great tune!
Fantastic journey to 1991😮👍😍👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
John Bush kills it on this album! Flawless vocal performance!
what a first concert to break my maiden. Armored Saint opened for WhiteSnake opened for Quiet Riot. Wow, what an '80's trio!!
Over 30 years later and still nothing better!!!
I'm 63 and still listening to this as loud as I can get it ...bound and gaged ...ha ha
One of the best rock and roll bands to ever come along. Lifelong fan since 1984 ❤️
Long live Armored Saint!
I saw Armored Saint open for Metallica at San Diego States Backdoor. In 1984. 5 songs into Armored Saints set, the stage collapsed. There were about 400 fans crammed into a 200 person capacity. People passed out. They brought out buckets of water for the crowd. They rebuilt the stage, and Armored Saint started their set again. One of my very favorite bands. Bang that head....
Great Song
Great Vocals
John Bush turned Anthrax from a good band to a superbly outstanding band. Armored Saint and Bush-era Anthrax are two of the best metal bands of all time, and Bush is definitely one of the best lead singers in all of metaldom.
Lol. Anthrax best albums were Among the living and Spreading the Disease. White noise was good but really it was just Anthrax trying to fit in to the 90s era.
Anthrax sucks
@@TheWilyz2003 Death suks
2023 and this song STILL FUCKING BANGS!
🤘🏻😈🤘🏻
I saw these guys here a few years ago, John's voice was shot so they did the whole gig with the Guitar player singing..
john came out right at the end .. the band was killer, GONZO kicked ass and both guitarists had a killer tone!! Love The Saint!
This band is so fucking phenomenal I can't believe I never heard of them except for John Bush. I should be ashamed of myself especially because I was that kid with that crazy uncle watch metal bands. I apologize to all my metal family \m/ and thank you RUclips for this enlightenment.
this record introduced me to this band.
love this track since i heard it way back in time!!!
Шедевральное начало шедеврального альбома.
This album was so polished. Awesome band who, at tge time were just coming into their own. Excellent group & musicians. I listen to their albums all the time. Great intro music to bring basketball & football teams out to. 😎🔥
the first time i heard this song it blew me away. some songs take a while to get accustomed to. not this one. that intro with the immediate hard pounding followed by the killer riff and solos...man. simple video with some powerful words and ideas. just one of my all time favorite songs period. not to mention i tried to learn this on guitar and is one of my most fun songs i like to play for the riffs and passion.
I have been Listening to Armored Saint since 1982's Can U Deliver album , Love there Brash Metal sound , I am 53 now and I will never stop Hearing that Metal Hitting my Brain ............
The REAL power metal. Just heavy metal, but powerful.
By far the most underrated singer of all time
WoooooW
It reminds me to the old good times !!!
Amazing Song ! Great riff, pounding beat and this awesome voice !!!
Just bought tix for the Toronto show. Have been a fan since March of the Saint and this will be my first time seeing them. Can't wait.
Armored Saint.🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Always thought John is better with Armored Saint than Anthrax. Armored Saint is amazing!
Terribly underrated and largely forgotten metal band. I've recently rediscovered them, and I, like many others, had forgotten just how good they were. And proof positive of how you can still play metal on a Strat or a Les Paul. A lesson for the shred heads, lol.
I wish could go back to these days
Me too
I’m praying for a Time Machine!!! I loved the John Bush era of Anthrax Sound of White Noise was a CD I turned my friend on to he used to listen to Christian music and I’m like bro GOD will not strike you down for type of music you listen to! If you feel bad just repent daily …lol
HOLY SHIT! Hope im not dying or something cuz this song just all of a sudden popped into my head and in high school was one of my all time favorites. PRAISE OLD SCHOOL METAL! THOSE WERE THE GREATEST TIMES!
I was fortunate enough to see them live , back then... and they were fracking good .reputation well deserved.
É praticamente impossível não gostar dessa banda.ESSENCIAL!!!
Essa banda é showzaço de bola!!!!!!!
That playlist rocked! More please and thank u
This Armored Saint 's song is great: I love it, this was a great band.
+André Abreu They're still together/regrouped!
Man I haven't heard this album in a long long time. I was 20 when this album was released. Better than I remembered
This guy WAS Anthrax for a "lil" while ... kept them relevant for more than a decade
I liked him better in Armored Saint. He sounds way better vocally with them than Anthrax.
I completely forgot John Bush was in Anthrax.
Agreed...the Bush years were good years.
I love that they are labeled as Heavy Metal which they are. But i see them as one of the main starters for Power Metal. An underrated genre that deserves some praise.
Love this song! Beyond awesome!
Been listening to these guys for a long time ☝️
I remember seeing them at the Mason jar in Phoenix Arizona for two shows. I was a roadie for the local opening band Tynator. Those were cool times then.
RIP Dave Pritchard.
Dave Prichard will always be remembered, rest in peace.
Great band! A dream today in 2022!
Just saw them last night. They were great!
fantastic song and great video, always nice to see!
god this song is great the guitar playing is amazing and John Bush singing is just one of a kind I mean just awsome, one great band every metal head can enjoy.

John Bush just rules. Loved him in Anthrax, but he and Armored Saint are just so damned underrated. Love ALL of these guys.

Great live band. Saw them on their Aussie tour with Death Angel. One of my favourite gigs.

I can't wait for the new album in a couple of months. The last one was (of course) great!
love the evolution they had in their sound, heavy/power metal to a perfect mix between both and kick ass hard rock music :).
Then you got bands like Manowar, Hammerfall, Dream Evil, Bloodbound, Pegazus, and Grave Digger having that heavy and power mix
I saw them at Hammerjacks in Baltimore back when this was released.Of the many shows I've seen this was one of the best.
If you were a Meta Head in the 80s n 90s in LA you would have heard of Armoured Saint being played on the Radio - KNAC 105.5
fkn KILLER in every way. Thank God for Armored Saint still flying the flag and kickin ass.
