Still listening to it in 2021! ROCKZ ON!!!
The best album Hard Metal ever
I love this song! Metal at its best!
Metal is timeless.
Nice Song.
By far my favorite band since Jr. High. Alex is the reason I play.
I got to open for them a few times with my old band and these guys were top notch. Nice guys And amazing live.
You know a Daniel Scully?
100% THRASH METAL, THE BEST. São Paulo.
You got to appreciate the good metal bands and testament is definitely in the elite class of good metal bands

Thank you algoritm for showing me this masterpiece today
Now this is HEAVY metal at its best
First time i hear Testament..makes me happy..to forget all the shit in this word!!! 🤟🎸🥁🎤 yeaaaah!!
starting 2021 with this!
True non mainstream metal \m/
Shawn Hellion As much as I enjoy this song, this is definitely mainstream metal.
Is this heavy metal or hard rock?
Testament beats any of the Big 4 anytime, anywhere!!!
Yeahhh
Fucking love playing this on guitar! Makes me feel badass!!! \m/,

TESTAMENT REIGNS OVER METALLICA FOREVER😈❤💋
I am🤘🤘🤘
Alex Skolnick - the most underrated guitarist ever
TSO
Roope Latvala is abolutely More underrated
He is a phenomenal guitarist!!!!! Been a huge fan of his since the mid 80s
used to like him but he's an insufferable sick w a stutter
Their best album Is The Gathering that was recorded with James Murphy
Why Testament isn’t part of the big 4, I’ll never understand. It should be Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Testament. Not To say Anthrax isn’t great because they are but Testament is so much thrashier.
that's exactly how I've always felt about things
Testament are an Exodus rip off band.
Big 4 is just couple of more successful bands. Antrax was 2d popular after Metallica
The Ritual is a great album.
Is it there a bad testament album?
@@jovankuzmanovic2065 they are worse than the previous ones but there are no bad ones

You just discovered one of the best bands of all time. I don't know why they aren't as popular as Metallica or Megadeth
+Ese1Pac well I am more of a megadeth guy but yes testament is definitely one of the greats
Hell yeah, Megadeth is awesome too! Just saying that Testament needs to be more popular because they are dope as fuck haha.
Lenovo Tab yeah Testament doesn't get enough credit for their f****** totally awesome music one of the best bands I ever saw live they blew the roof off that place it was f****** awesome
Ese1Pac preach brother
You can clearly see and hear that Alex payed attention on classes with Joe Satriani. His playing and note choice is brilliant, very unique metal guitarist.
Mateo Bakija He has a music academy degree...

I love this song. My favorite off the ritual. Cool video. And also a cool guitar solo. Saw this tour twice BACK in California. They opened for iron maiden. Testament 4 life. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
I always loved this song but didn't know it had a music video. And LOL it's just them playing their instruments.
This is one of the absolute most awesome tracks from any band EVER! Cool to see the video finally!

I love seeing my dad Louie drumming away now that I'm grown. It's extra cool now!❤🎉😮😊
Louie is your dad? That's awesome. I wish I met him. The only member of this band I met in person is Alex. They are all so talented. This was their best lineup.
❤
That’s cool af! Fortunate enough to catch a drumstick of his while seeing them at the cow palace 🤘🏾

I first heard Souls of Black when I was like 10 a year after it was released followed by The Ritual when I was 12 and I've loved them ever since then. Testament will always be a part of the thrash boom, imo.

Here we go
The people show
Victims of tomorrow
The way it goes
It never shows
Emptiness or sorrow
There is nothing left inside
Nothing left to cry for
So I justify my crimes
Things that I must die for
So alone
Away it goes
The life that you have wasted
You never know
Where it might go
The sweet success you've tasted
Tasted by a bitter frown
Knowing I must die for
Can't confide, to all the lies
No one to inquire
As I wander, change of seasons
As I realize
That I'll soon be there
I'll let you know
The reapers show
Makes you beg or borrow
He comes to see
The tragedy
His fate he will not follow
Wearing your electric crown
The preacher starts to pray
Shiver as the lights go down
Heed these words I say
As I wander
Change of seasons
I can't ponder
I got my reasons
As I realize
I don't care
All I know is
That I'll soon be there
Now it's gone
The time has come
The people stand in silence
Another dawn
Has come and gone
His fate has been decided
There is no one left inside
A brain without a mind
Traces of a bitter man
Are all you will find
As I wander
Change of seasons
I can't ponder
I got my reasons
As I realize
I don't care
All I know is
That I'll soon be there
That I'll soon be there
That I'll soon be there

30 years later still one of the best metal songs. Perfect bassline and the drums have so much rhythm it makes you sick. After playing guitar for 35 years this is one of my all-time favorite songs to attempt to play. Chuck Billy is simply the best thrash metal singer, always has been.
Ritual is not their best album IMHO (and I wonder why they chose its weakest track as album title - that's a privilege reserved to Anvil ;-)), and this may be their most commercial song ever, but it's a killer - it has an incredible "flow", start to finish. It just grooves.
Even James Hatfield acknowledges them as the greatest thrash band .

No, it’s “I know that I’ll soon be there”. I believe it’s referencing what the end holds for us all
It's not death it's not thrash.. it is just classic original style heavy metal and that's what I like about this era of testament. I love all of their eras. This is one of my favorite bands in the world. You can really hear how they wanted to go for great songwriting for a mistake that would capture you like the old bands would
We need this genre back!! Great music never dies!!
The soloing is tastefully reminescent of Warren DeMartini's early RATT days more than anybody else... All the notes sound spot on yet equally unique over a thrash background. Love the tone as well...
Dude seriously
A true heavy metal classic! Reminds me so much of the time when metal ruled the world.

This was the song that got my hip-hop loving friend into metal. Had him over and we played this bad boy on Rock Band 4. Needless to say he made the switch quickly.
Chuck Billy. The best air guitar player of all time. I'm glad to say that they've been one of my favorite bands for 30+ years.

Too late
Loved this band at the time (and still do now). The Ritual was an album that pretty much summed up everything that 90s Thrash was about.
My fave Testament song🤘🏼🔥
The Ritual in my opinion the strongest Testament album to date and the song "Electric Crown" is their best song EVER
Probably their best album yes but I would put The Sermon up with Electric Crown as their best song.
jcp1977 I like Low and Souls of Black a lot too. Also the Gathering
Versatile is definitely them. I would even go as far as saying that’s an understatement.

Black album has some gems if you bother to listen through. Sure enter sandman and sad but true are pretty bland and generic but near the end is some good stuff. struggle within and the god that failed to name a few. No where near as good as there first 3 records but still decent.
But Black is better!

2. Where did the good music go in that time?

Those who disliked this should be sat on the Electric crown. Still dont understand why they are not as big as metallica?????
***** yeah but with this album dont you think testament kind of followed metallica's black album of becoming more accessible, the ritual is brutal dont get me wrong but its sure is more mainstream than any of their other albums, I think theyre way overlooked and heck they are much great musicians than metallica hate to compare.
jedsebastian i agree with you. From the time metallica came out with the black album they went down hill and they became a sellout band all for the radio.
