Delirious Nomad is one of the most underrated albums ever. I don't understand the dislike. I found this on cassette when I was fifteen and it took me away from a world of missing my recently deceased father and the hate I had for the world. I'll forever be grateful for that album.

Delirious Nomad - to me- is about as perfect a metal album was made. There isn't a single filler track and the songs are deep AF, especially considering what was out at the time. It's criminally overlooked when discussing the metal movement of the 80s. Raising Fear was great, but they set the bar so high with DN, it didn't carry as much weight and consistency. RIP, Dave Pritchard.

@@dragonqueen6589 I was an Anthrax fan even before Joey came along and I have to admit that the classic line up has always been the best to see live. I went to see Anthrax in the 80s, 90s, 00s and 10s. My first was when they opened for Metallica in Dublin Ireland in 1986 and I was there as an Anthrax fan. However, this may seem strange but the album I've listened to the most is The Sound of White Noise. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but saying that Bush is merely an okay singer is harsh. The guy is a fantastic singer and his influence on Anthrax was excellent in terms of how they wrote.

@@dragonqueen6589 I didn't say Bush was a better singer than Belladona and I'm not saying Belladona is better either. I implied that Bush is a fantastic singer and that his time with Anthrax produced some amazing albums. I was lucky enough to see Anthrax 8 times when they came to Ireland and a few more overseas and the best of those gigs was in 1989. They are one of my all time favourite bands and I appreciate the Bush era too. I've always been an East coast metal fan of bands like Nuclear Assault who were moderately succesful and Overkill who were succesful as well as Ian's side project S.O.D. and the associated M.O.D. (all of whom don't get the recognition they diserve).

John Bush has always been my favorite singer. I can still remember how blown away I was the first time I heard Can U Deliver, such a masterpiece. Symbol of Salvation, to me, is the only album that could ever stand next to Metallicas Master of Puppets, both are absolute musical perfection, from start to finish. The music John made with Anthrax is far and away better than the stuff they did with Joey, but I do still very much enjoy the Joey era Anthrax. Songs like Hy Pro Glo and Invisible are such good songs, not to mention the entire We've Come for You All album, another album that has no bad song. Long live The Saint!!!

Nice video. No mention of "Nod to the Old School" which I understand since it's not a studio album but a 2-disc compilation. It does however contain the original EP in case you can't find it by itself. Plus a really cool acoustic version of "Tainted Past," a couple of covers, B-sides, demos & other fun stuff.

Yep, John Bush has always been killer, and I think the band stands out as one of the many that made me fall in love with a round, sonic guitar tone. Love this channel.

As an LA native of Highland Park, and a die hard metalhead. I always had an admiration for Armored Saint, just due to the fact they were really close to home, being Pasadena, South Pasadena, and El Sereno areas of LA. Looking at the early photo, it looks like the San Rafael Ave bridge in SOuth Pasadena, going over the Arroyo Seco. Metal Rules!

One of my favorite bands. I think Revelation is a great comeback album. I picked it up along with Halford's self titled CD. Two stellar CD's I picked up that day.

I bought "Raising Fear" in vinyl, around early 1989, 1st LP of them I bought, and I loved it. Song Legacy was my favorite. I knew I had to buy the previous LPs , so I bought them in the next year. And when Symbol of Salvation came out in 1991, I got that too. But I did not get their later LPs. I was more into Fates Warning in the 90ies.

While always being a Belladonna Anthrax fan . At the time when Bush joined for Sound of White Noise , i was on board . I still love that record . While it didnt sound like the Anthrax i grew up with , It was a different time . Sounded fresh . Now ? im glad Joey is back with em . But Bush is a great singer for sure !!

Binge watching your vids mate. As an old school metal head from way back lol, I'm loving the home work part nice way to get your audience involved well done.
It gives me a reason to go back and listen to all the albums that got me into metal and all the obscure ones that didn't get the attention they deserved at the time. Cheers

Sadly Phil was cracked out during his leave of absence and skated by as a bike messenger here in San Francisco...For awhile (a few months) he was sadly sleeping on people's floors. NOW..That is all in the long past. He moves back to LA straightened up a bit and The Saint let him back in and they started up a new plan for recording. Hail The Saint!
I disagree with the production being too slick for the 1st LP..I LOVE IT...Great video \m/

"Symbol of Salvation" was my introduction to Armored Saint, I still have the CD from when I originally bought it. I bought the new album on vinyl late last year, it's not bad. I give it a spin every so often. Last month I pre-ordered the re-release vinyl edition of "Symbol" and their new "Symbol..." Live album that is coming out at the same time later this month...

Saw A.S. Open for Helloween/Grim Reaper at the Hard Roxx in Lawton Oklahoma 1987. My mind was blown that night, got to see 4 amazing guitarist, was a huge fan of all 3. Saint wearing their post apocalyptic gear. Helloween killed. Second time to see Grim Reaper, got Nick Bowcott’s pick that night and still have it. I miss those shows in small clubs. Less than 200 people that night.
