I was waiting for scott ian to appear because he is on every metal documentary.
I'm always checking that out. 🤣
made me laugh brother!!
Obligatory Scott Ian appearance.
Ha, I know but I think John Bush signing on a couple of Anthrax records might have something to do with it.
@@archangelofcoffee922 yeah i know, but still.
I was disappointed Lars wasn't eating something while being interviewed
Yeah, but atleast Scott Ian was in this. You rarely see that guy in a rockumentary.
😂😂👍👍👍
Haha! I literally laughed out loud when I read your comment because it’s so true! 😂
He used to eat in every single interview back in the day.
He had just finished eating his toothpick.
Um
Bush's transformation into Bruce Willis is complete
Ha!!
He is one of the most underrated vocalists ever, IMHO... LOVE me some John Bush on vocals.
Bhahahahaahahhaha
Bush Willis
@@shindrithargriethrat8408 I was extremely pleased when he joined Anthrax on "Sound of White Noise" which I think is a highly underrated album of theirs.
Scott Ian in his 900th documentary!
They should make a documentary about all his documentaries.
@@pokerphil1st haha no kidding
Really cool to see this come together!!!
You guys know when this documentary will be available for release?
Megadeth a lot better
@@ssmstudio1476 It's not a competition.
What's that your arse cheeks ?
I believe I remember first hearing "Armored Saint" on one of the "Metal Massacre" compilations.
I think Metallica were on 2 of them(?), and that's where I first heard "Die by The Sword", and "Slayer"!!
The "Metal Massacre" compilations introduced many great Metal bands to the world for the first time!
A Super Thanks to "Metal Blade Records", as well as "Megaforce Records" for bringing out the "Real Metal" to my young teen ears, and to the world!🙏🤘🤘
James turned into the Cowardly Lion from the Wizard of Oz.
Nailed it.
CANT UNSEE
Ha ha ha that’s fucking hilarious dude. 👏
I watched that film recently with my young daughter. 😂😂😂😂😂
@@shifterbbr1986 "Courage I tell ya... COURAGE!!" LOL
How long before Scott Ian mentions Met....... never mind
Oh man, Armored Saint is finally getting the treatment they deserve!
Yep.
Hetfield voice so cool, that any his sentence can be layed down on metall riff.
00:57 - looks like Kirk Hammett, sounds like Kirk Hammett, and says something that Kirk Hammett would say
Finally. They deserve this. My family grew up with them and went to school with them in El Sereno. Especially John Bush and the Sandovals. Have been following them since the beginning.
We met A.S. after show in kalamazoo Feb 3 1985 they were excellent
What's John Bush like?
Excellent John was thanking us for the sign Gonzo made us laugh Dave was looking 4 weed hilarious good times n Krazy Kalamazoo
Can’t wait to see this documentary….I grew up in Cypress Park and El Sereno and have always loved this band…
Does Dave Mustaine appear to talk about how he kicked Phil's ass at a party because he was bullying Lars?
Mustaine said one of his biggest regret is stopping phil from beating lars... he gave phil one of his signature guitars. Lol
@@ratatgp3926 it was one of his biggest regrets because it showed how unstable he was, and I’m pretty sure he sent him a guitar as an apology. Just making sure things don’t seem false lol
@@michaelmireles7411 Yeah, but everyone knows Dave is a violent drunk.
Issue in Metallica was they were all silly drunks.
A violent drunk never sees the humor when the silly drunk slaps the cup out of their hand so Dave got fired.
I hope there will be some great stories of your brother Dave Prichard.
Back in the 80’s, here in the Bay Area, these guys treated us like brothers. Thanks to Scott’s relative, world renowned rock photographer, Neil Zlozower, we were invited to hang out with complete access to these guys. The Omni in Oakland and the Stone in SF were days and nights full of energy. We’d hang out with the boys and their friends James, Kirk and of course Lars. Drinking Beck’s beer and smoking cigars!! Metallica, Laaz Rockit and Armored Saint, childhood dreams coming to fruition for all of us. I still pinch myself. I’d like to thank Scott M., Neil Zlozower, Bob Corona (the Stone, S.F.), Randy Bachman at Bill Graham Presents (RIP to both Randy and Bill) John Bush, Dave Prichard (RIP), Joey Vera, and Gonzo, from the bottom of my heart and all of my soul, thank you all. Shout out to Saint’s friend and confidant, Corrine, one of kind girl. Hope she’s well and still in touch with Saint. Always and forever, Head-banging all the way!!! Let’s do it again in 2022! Until then, cheers!
Gonzo got that right. Him and Joey are the driving force of Armored Saint's energy.
wow. this is great! the Saint is one of the most criminally underrated bands ever. March Of The Saint and Rasing Fear are among of my favourite albums
Delirious Nomad & Symbol Of Salvation are without question their greatest records, that said, March Of The Saint & Raising Fear are killer records no doubt
I was today years old when I heard of Armored Saint. It's cool to see James and Lars in this too
Wait really?
Symbol of Salvation Album is their high water mark. I suggest that Album at the least.
a huge band
back in the '80s we all loved these guys
I'm still listening to their Music
LOVE & SUPPORT FROM 🇮🇹
Yes! What mom said! Armored Saint is Numero Uno
So ₩ cool mom you make me Smile
I remember them Opening for Metallica on the " Ride the Lightening " Tour. They Did NOT Get A Lot of Love from the Crowd that Night. I do remember people were throwing things and spitting on them....After all these years its Good to See them Get Respect...
Hollywood Palladium. Metallica opened with Fight Fire With Fire.
Both bands ruled though. False Alarm was a highlight for me. Prichard was still alive. The 80s man. So many great shows
@@13JDOG666 Saw Metal Church at the pirates den in NJ in 2004. Great show that night
Saw that same tour too with Wasp opening
Saw them on that tour in Dallas at the Arcadia. Great fucking show and they got all the love . March of the Saint is a killer album
Same thing happened to The Cult on the Justice tour.
As a high school kid, I used to wear out Armored Saint- March of the Saint on album. I can't wait to see this movie.
This is going to be the best thing since the Lemmy documentary. Can't wait.
The Lemmy film was solid. There are many out there that are equally as solid.
ZZ Top
Twister Sister
Quiet Riot
Shannon Hoon from Blind Melon
The Eagles
and so many more
Lemmy documentary? When, where and how? I have to see it!
@@Cthulhu_Awaken Dude, where have you been? It's available everywhere on DVD. It's even on Netflix.
@@GarethAlan81 When did it come out?
@@Cthulhu_Awaken 2010 I think
I cannot wait to see it all! CONGRATS guys & Russell! Love that mama Sandoval is in here!
I always loved these guys. Johns voice is amazing, no wonder he was wanted for Metallica...and he even joined Anthrax for a while. Great band, great energy, great sound, great artwork.
James Hetfield hit the nail on the head. "ARMORED SAINT is a brotherhood" Their devotion to one and other, the band and their musical vision as a whole has never been eclipsed.
James is turning into Colonel Sanders before our very eyes.
Can't wait to see this documentary. I love Armored Saint. I interviewed Phil Sandoval a couple years ago in São Paulo/Brazil. He is a very very cool guy! Too much respect to Phil, Gonzo, Joey, Jeff and John! Armored Saint rules! Institution of metal!
UUUH Did we mention? This movie is about Armored Saint.
I first saw Armored Saint at The Rainbow in Denver 1986? 87? Amazing show. Hung in the mosh pit all night. One of the best metal shows I saw at The Rainbow. Can't wait for the movie. Prichard was amazing.
Great memories and part of the soundtrack of my teen metal years. Bless Armored Saint 3000 🤘🤘
One of my favorite bands since the beginning, and very nice guys.
What a story.I am so watching.thanks for sharing
Raising Fear was one beast of an album. I would play it over and over again.
Beautiful!! So deserving and absolutely can’t wait!! Long live the Glory Hunters!! ❤️👊🏻⚔️
Still listen to Delerios Nomad, & Saints Will Conquer Live, metal masterpieces. I remember when they lost their gifted guitarist to leukemia years ago
Dave pritchard
Armored Saint was one of the very first bands in the Hollywood metal scene that I saw in 1982 and I saw them many times in the clubs. They really did wear "armor" although I think it was made of plastic. Great band! So happy to hear their new material rocks.
Awesome,can't wait!!!
Greetings from Stuttgart,Germany!!!
Can't wait for the
Complete documentary.. Well over due and deserved...
Grande John con la campera de la albiceleste!!!!
Que grandeee !
Un crack
After Murder in the Front Row a new MUST WATCH!!
I got to hang out with them back around 1984. Their then guitar player Dave Prichard was very kind and engaging gentlemen for some great rock n roll conversation about the band and some of their touring experiences. He had a cool glass eye made into a ring we talked about, good times.
Very cool, can't wait to see this! And love the new album!
I met the guys in Terre Haute, Indiana . They were in town opening for Quiet Riot I think. I was too broke to make the concert so I was at the only club in town for drink or drown. All you could drink for $5. They came in after their set. I didn't know who they were yet, but you could tell they were badass rockers when they walked in. I struck up a conversation with Dave Pritchard. Got a picture with the band. Some of the coolest, most humble guys. Was so sad to hear of Dave's passing a couple of years later. Great guys to hang out with.
Actually upon further thought, I think it was Ratt and Poison not Q.R.
Took the girl I was into at the time to the Armored Saint/Metallica show back in 85.
They took her backstage; didn't work out well for me.
Hahahaha
Yikes, I feel sorry for you man
Damn, bro! I'm glad u can laugh at that now, but man, I would have been pissed!! 😆😣
@@MaximusAdonicus it’s been a long time
That's rough bro.
Yeouch
Can't wait to see that! Such a good band.
The best Metal song ever! Can you deliver.im still playing that song.
cool stuff, glad I got to too see them in Australia many years ago
Lone Wolf, baby!…. glad the Documentary is finally here
awesome, can't wait to see it
my band and gonzo did our first radio interview!!! i got to talk to him over the air....fucking awesome
What amazes me is that John and James are the same age, but John looks he aged much better.
Saw them with Metallica on the March of the Saint/Ride the Lightning tour. Hadn't heard them before (Thanks Dallas radio!), but became an instant and huge fan! Still rock out to them all of the time! can't wait to see the full documentary!!!!!
W.A.S.P. was on the bill with them when I saw that show in Baltimore.
Give us more of these documentaries the Anvil one was amazing!🤘
Definitely looking forward to this one!
Our Number One BAND !!! PUNCHING THE SKY !!!
Gonna be meeting and seeing armored Saint live soon
WHAT A SURPRISE! Interview with Scott Ian.
Amazing!!
Got to see them opening for Saxon. If I’m correct it was the Delirious Nomad Tour. They put on one heck of a show!!!
Is this out now?
I saw Armored Saint at Perkins Palace in 1984. What a time to grow up in So Cal.
I know Jeff Duncan and his brothers. We all grew up in Eagle Rock together.
Awesome!!!!!
I loved Armored Saint so much and never understood why they did not make it big
I can’t wait for this!
my first concert back in the day was Armored Saint, Wasp & Metallica
Bow, Down Here!
Cause the Saint’s Raising Fear!
This is going to be a sick movie and we need a led zeppelin biopic
The new album is amazing. Need a release date!
Sweet! Exciting guys!! \m/
Can’t wait to watch this one!
Hell yeah! A kick ass band! Glad I saw them open on the Master of Puppets tour.
Take a shot every time they say Armored Saint...freaking loaded halfway through the video
A true sportsman! X-D
I'm pretty sure I was the first Armored Saint Fan in Kentucky. At the least in my county back in the 80s. I can't wait for this.
Delirious Nomad. Saw them open for Quiet Riot at the Beacon Theater. First show ever with my friends. Clench your fist , a battles on the way... Metals here to save the day"
And I loved delirious nomad as well.
Also got to hang with them in college when they opened for Grim reaper. That was fun as well. Good times indeed.
Nice, can’t wait 🤘
So happy for this...Saint rules!
I love Armored Saint!
This looks promising, can’t wait!
I was in the 6th grade in 1984 (Boyle Heights) when I bought a copy of the Armored Saint e.p. from a high school kid. Still have it!
Us Boyle Heights kids heard of Armored Saint playing parties in and around Pasadena area. Some of us were jealous because we were into Maiden, Saxon, Ozzy. Saint was only played on Kmet mighty metal hour and in later years, KNAC, which was not always a clear signal.
Hey Knight Rider - I bought the 12 inch e.p. from some dude named Martin who lived not too far away from “Strawberry Hill” and “Oregon St.” I also got used copies of Merciful Fate (DBTO), Kill em All, Cirith Ungol’s (KOTD) which blew a six grader’s mind. I was into mainstream heavy metal before that in 1984. Boyle Heights was hip on underground metal for sure.
Awesome 🤘🏻🍻
Armored Saint es numero uno! LOL I loved that part the most! \m/
bruhhh I found this band like 3 years ago in Spotify and tought it was a new trash band that no one was really yet listening :DDDD
I remember these guys...
I'm So Glad I Found Armored Saint When I watched Hellraiser 3 Hell On Earth They Played Hanging Judge 🤘
In the early 80s I was going to start a band called Armored Saint. Had all the art work, the stage show laid out. Had a couple friends interested. Then I went to the local convenient store, thumbed through a Hit Parader magazine and there they were. I went home, threw away my art work and became an Armored Saint fan. Funny how shit like that happens, how creative ideas form on conscious levels. But hey, they had it first; more power to them And they still rock. \m/ \m/
Wow!! Scott Ian!! .... It’s been a long time
Following the Saints since I first heard their Ep on KLOS, Heavy Metal Six Pack . Saw them when they Headline with Metallica and Adam Bomb . Long Live Dave Pritchard . These guys are so grounded and humble especially the Sandoval Brothers and Vera . Bush your a little on the high horse but that's OK you earned it.
Was thinking a Razorfist Metal Mythos on these guys would be great but this will do as well!
I was there at that perkins palace show. It was A FUCKEN MAZING! Hooked ever since. Can't wait for this!
Amazing band
Armored Saint is actually the very first metal band i saw live. 9th of June 2000, at Sweden Rock Festival.
I was obsessed with them. Bought the first album at Tower Records on Beach Blvd based on the album cover.
haha. I did the same for Metallica's Kill Em All, when living overseas. Though I used to live close to Beach Blvd in Anaheim
@@ikigai47 Nice. Were you around for Radio City Music Hall club in Anaheim? Saw Slayer there in 1983. Club held 200. Amazing bands played there.
@@sedonasting - No, afraid not. That's the year after I moved overseas (Saudi Arabia. Dad got a job for their airlines). I was only 14 anyway at that time. Sounds like a great time though! I did get to work security when Slayer came to town with Motorhead 6 or 7 years later (in Houston). Their roadie let me clean Lombardo's kit after it was all set up since I was a huge fan. Then I saw them a few times after that as well. Always the best show!
yes!
Armored Saint es *NÚMERO UNO.*
Yes! 💪🏼
Can't wait!
This is awesome! Looking forward to it! I've always wished to see them live. They played on my birthday a few years back. Didn't go though. I've never seen Metallica either although they are a great band, I would much rather see Saint.
You know this is going to be good because Scott Ian is talking about them....I think this guy is on every documentary about everything..Can't be a documentary without Scott Ian.
Where's Grohl's grinning mug? Doc's a failure.
i am ready!
