Still love em to this day. Armored Saint is one of those bands that I can honestly say, "Thank you for all you did, and put up with, to bring us some great music over the long years."

Raising Fear is a banger. Remember watching them live on MTV Helloween ball or something and being really impressed by Dave Prichard. Bought the album after seeing them. Also killer cover of Saturday Night Special.

I don't listen to a lot a metal these days but every now and again I will blast some Saint, even if it embarrasses my kids...
I saw armored saint on new years eve 1983 at the orange show grounds in San Bernardino with Bitch and a couple other bands. It was called the new years eve metal massacre. 10 years or so later I saw them at Dallas city limits on the symbol of salvation tour. After their set ended I was outside the club smoking some buds with Phil from last crack RIP Phil. So a sweaty John bush came out the door to catch some air. And I had a little conversation with him . When I told him about the first time I saw armored saint . I mentioned the date of the show . Thats all. Most rock stars probably can't tell you where they played last night much less a decade earlier. this story has a kinda cool ending also. The next year I went to see anthrax and white zombie at fair park in Dallas. At that show John was singing for anthrax and Phil from last crack was the drummer for white zombie. Just a pretty cool story and memories I thought I'd share with y'all
Delirious Nomad is one of my favorite metal albums from that time period. I never knew there was a story behind them. Thanks for the history of this underrated band.
Dave Prichard's mom was one of my teachers in 7th & 8th grade. She was a very nice lady. The band actually came to my school on Career Day one year. All the metal heads were walking around with Armored Saint stickers for the rest of the day. 😂
