TheChicken_YT I don’t really know the whole story regarding FF, but I know the drummer’s wife was managing them prior to 2009, and the breakup prior to their Mechanize record had something to do with that. I think that there was more about the Dana White situation. Trought the years i've seen multiple interviews of Max saying that in the day the kid died, he didn't felt that the band had his back, by making the decision of not canceling the gig. That band would have never gotten organized & known globally without Gloria.
She took on that band for zero salary & got them up & running immediately.
She wasn’t some groupie or phony wannabe manager, she was experienced at managing, PR & tour managing prior to meeting them.
The bands anger towards her was the typical misguided band, where the singer gets the attention & the other guys don’t & they start getting pissed. This is very common.
In their case, since she was dating Max she became the target. It was rooted in denial that singers always get more famous but it was easier for them to blame her & not Max.
They’re still happily married, so obviously it wasn’t some fly by night fling.

Sepultura were my idols when I was a teenager. When they split it killed the band for me. I thought Soulfly was interesting but when Max went Christian after releasing the Nailbomb album you could definitely tell he might not be the most stable person. I don't hate Max Cavalera but I do think he owes the band an apology and to beg for their forgiveness on his knees.
When Fear Factory and Anthrax split it also killed those bands for me too. However I saw Fear Factory at Soundwave without Raymond Herrera and I really enjoyed it which was quite a shock to me.

@@danielbentley7117 ...Maybe you also didn't calculate the "Flavor of rock/metal" in that era? You think any of the old 90's band would have survived the charts when you got monsters like Behemoth, Amon Amarth, Opeth, Archenemy, in the heavier sides then you have the flavor of System of a Down, Tool, Slipknot and so on coming on those years....you are practically putting an OLD formula vs people who GREW UP listening to Sepultura and adding their crazy new flavors.... So no shit DG's era is overshadowed - The taste of metal had long rolled over that taste.
Aerosmith is still singing... you think there are people running out of their way to grab any new shit they got?
Ofcourse not, they all became acquired taste bands...like the Newzealand Metal band called Alien Weaponry. You want a deeper analysis....Max and his brother Iggor have been in a band for a long time now...Oh look...no sales- It's practically obscure. Velvet Revolver has more presence than their band and it's as underground and it gets. It's practically the Mars Volta of 90s Metal projects.
So comparing Max-era of Sepultura vs DG's Era makes no sense...One brought the sound out and changed the music scape and style away from grunge 90s....and one is heavier and faster but in an era where the taste had changed.

However Derek Green doing Derek Green era Sepultura is a different story.
You can’t look at Max era Sepultura and Post Max Sepultura as the same band, or else you will be disappointed. You have to look at them as 2 separate entities.

Ever notice how Andreas and the rest of current Sepultura hardly ever talk about this? When they do it's because the interviewer brought it up and usually they keep it very short saying they regret some of what's happened between them but don't see any reunion plans working out and are just focused on the future of the band. Meanwhile Max and Gloria just can't seem to shut up about it. Every interview they do they seem to talking about why they left Sepultura, plans for getting back together or not, and frequently slinging shit at Andreas and the rest of current band (as is mentioned towards the end of this video). Combining this with some statements from previous members of Soulfly about how it was working with them and you get a pretty clear picture of the Cavalera family as being toxic and seemingly horrible to work with.

The band was founded by Max and Igor. Andreas wasn't even on the first album. Paulo didn't even play bass on their earlier albums up to Roots. The Cavaleras have alaways been the heart and soul of that band and they haven't been the same since Max left...

I've noticed that also and I couldn't believe are words twisting all that around and having no class there. It says everything.Bands have their divorces. Its normal but people can't cope with that. They have the albums to remember but still point fingers to something very normal on relationships

@@WellFedProductions ,Max didn't write anything has incredible since the Sepultura Era also. Many bands record that way...Guitarists recording the two guitars and bass and whatever. It's the law of who can play the riffs tighter. It's a discussion that will never end.Max didn't fight for the band, even his brother agreed with the other two about Gloria. The world got two bands instead of one.We have to get over this...
Andreas solos are a Sepultura trademark. No one can repeat them(even him sometimes,Lol). Both factions deserve respect

I saw Igor throw his drum sticks directly at Max at the end of the Brixton Academy show. I was at the venue super early to hang out with friends and hopefully meet the band but Max never appeared and the atmosphere in their camp with their people was seriously bad, it wasn't much of a surprise after all of that.
