Chloe’s content is great, but don’t undersell yourself! I’ve learned heaps from this channel, and I’d bet good money I’m not the only one. I subscribed to this channel after watching a single video, because the quality and delivery of the content was/is so exceptional. Wishing you the best in these stressful times!
I have been watching your videos to have a a better idea about PM world. Plus, got closer with PM team in my office, and girlll... At the point where my life is, I saw it is not for me, however I figured I am more into Product Marketing Manager due comunication + creativity. Thank you for sharing, take care of yourself, and keep posting. There is a lot of ppl looking out for your content to be guided. Xoxo from 🇧🇷
Thanks for the video! I had several panic attacks late last year. Very unpleasant thing. It seems that this happens when your expectations of your future are different from reality. I then broke up with a girl I had been with for a long time and lost my job. But you know, when the war in Ukraine started and I realized that I could die every day, I lost all panic attacks 😂 It's interesting. My feelings for the future disappeared, all values changed at one point. You no longer think about breaking up, or about the future, or about work. This is a game of our brain. Although it seems panic attacks should have been after the war, but no. Thank you for your sincerity!
First of all, I hope you and your family are safe and doing ok. I can't imagine what you are going through. It is amazing how certain life events can give perspective to things like work stress. Thank you so much for sharing :)
Chloe does have some good stuff, as do you. Product can def be stressful. As a Sr PM myself, if it weren't for the various outlets I have, that "bad" stress would just build and end very poorly. Thanks for chatting about things!
Thank you Alisa, this video was really helpful. I've discovered as well panic attacks related to stress at work since my very beginning as a PO and they never really left me since, only reduced with time as you pointed out (I choose better what battles I had to fight for). Sharing your experience was reliefing for me, I am not alone :) Thanks a lot :)
I’m so sorry about Sunday, friend! NAB can certainly be stressful, especially when you have to both continue your normal job and present from stage. You kicked butt and took names, though. Re: panic attacks, you’re not alone. I started getting frequent panic attacks back in 2016. They’ve slowed thanks to medication and better self-care. But they still happen from time to time. Proud of you for taking care of yourself.
Well hello, friend!! And hey it’s all good, stress happens and I swear it just comes in waves. And you also did your normal job and kicked butt on stage, so nicely done to you too!! And yeah something tells me a lot of us go through panic attacks even if it seems like everyone else is thriving. Life can be stressful and overwhelming sometimes!!
Awesome to see such a broad perspective on career stress! Definitely helped level out my stress. Thank you Alisa, so far your videos have gotten me excited about product, made it clearer and made it seem approachable.
Hi Alisa, what a timing of watching this video! I felt so stressed even just started learning about being a product manager recently. I am a convert product manager from project manager in a start up. I am sorry to hear that you got panic attack. Thank you so much for sharing your tips and your insights about the stress in career life. After chatting with my family and friends today my coping methods are that I will try to learn more when I can, and being mentally prepared for the worse scenario about my job. I will see what will actually happen! God bless!
Amazing video, although I enjoy all of your helpful videos interestingly this is so far my personal fav on your channel! So genuine and healing. Thank you for sharing ❤️
This is super timely content. Thanks for being vulnerable and sharing your experience/validating so many of us watching ❤️ there are definitely days (sometimes weeks) where it feels like there's no winning. I love Product, but it's refreshing to hear the other side of it too because with everything, it's not always rainbows and butterflies! P.s. moving/new house vlog soon? 🤔
Thanks for this content 🤗. I recently consider to start my career path in the Product Management, so yes, your video was helpful for me. I still don't know much about Product management, although I try to know it from your channel which is really well-told. However no matter the fact that Product M. path would be really a BIG challenging in the beginning, I still won't give up, and Yes if we consider the fact about that STRESS thing, this might be encountered in any Career whether you are a Product Manager or Doctor or even a Teacher. Your videos are great, keep going, and remember that there are people who learn from you and your experience. Thank you 😉❤
Do you have a video about going from a Big 4 firm in Technology Risk Management to being a Product Manager? Almost identical situation here and I was wondering how easy it was to sell that experience when applying for PM roles. BTW, appreciate the honest and open video!!
Hello there, iam thinking of doing product management certification online with 3 years of job experience but not in the same ..kindly if u can let me know what are the future prospects

I watch both you and Chloe. I wouldn't say either is better. You both discuss different things..dont undersell yourself!
Thanks for putting the stress into context by looking at other roles in tech as well as outside. That really helps put things in perspective.

@@AlisaHaman 100,000%. And then there are french fries, or Sam’s baking, or Emet’s smile. Thankfully even the difficult things pass.
So useful tips! Even though I am a SE, your advice applys to my job too. Thank you for sharing! ❤️

You are so relatable love! I've recently moved into this role- I FEEL the stress!!
Thank you, Alisa. Appreciate the vulnerability 🙏🏼
You nailed the stresses of other roles so clearly! I’m a csm. & then my girlfriend is a nurse 😅 that’s a whole other type of stress.
Oh yeah the stress levels for nurses and doctors is on a whole other level! Thank you for your support 💕
Thank you so much Alisa! I am loving the idea of a minimum viable day. I also love the less scripted style of video!
