Bingo! I recently replaced the battery and all interior lights etc work on my 2001 Tahoe, just no sound when turning the key so suspected a fuse or worse electrical issue. Excellent walk thru of the basic starter electrics that took me straight to the issue. Finally a lucky day, tapping on the starter relay unfroze it. I swapped the defroster relay with the starter relay until i get around to replacing that particular relay. Thank you!!

Thanks for the great video! I just changed my nuetral safety switch and the car worked great for a few days. Then it would not crank, from your advice I got to the crank fuse which was blown, replaced the fuse and it blew again when I turned ignition. Showing a ground at the crank fuse when the car is in park and nuetral, but getting power when in gear. No power (ground) at the bottom right(yellow) pin on the starter relay. Do you think the brand new nuetral safety switch failed?

So if my tahoe is running good and then when my fuse relay fuse box shakes it could loosen my relay fuse? And make the truck not wanna go or start

Quick question, I am using the paper clip method to connect the bottom left and top right relay slots and when I connect them there is a small spark on the bottom left one but still no starter movement

How come my Tahoe won't start after the relays were randomly removed and put back according to the diagram? It was starting fine before hand

Put your key in the ignition. Turn it forward ONE position. Only one! Now, pop the hood, open up the electrical box under the hood. Take out that starter relay like he shows in the video. Take a wire and jump the terminals that he says in the video (red to white). I’d your starter begins to make noise like it’s trying to start the engine KEEP THE WIRE IN THE TERMINALS!!! Go to your ignition and turn the key forward like you’re starting the truck. When/if the engine fires up, then go back to the electrical box, take out the jumper and replace the relay back to the terminals close up the box, the hood, get in the driver seat and GO! I have to do this on my 01 tahoe every once in a while. HOPE THIS HELPS!

Oh! Also, make sure you push the wires down but don’t touch the wires to the outside of the terminals. Keep the wire in the center of the bottom left and top right terminal otherwise the wire will just get hot and being grounded. I like to use a vice grips that holds the wire so it’s like two prongs coming out of the vice grips. It also helps you push the wire down to create a connection, and if you aren’t doing it right you won’t get straight BURNED by the jumper wire
