- Comparing the Convoy S2+ with a SST20 6500K LED and the Convoy C8+ with a SST40 6500K LED. Please note my camera didn't really pick up the 0.1% brightness on the S2+, so that's why it's been skipped over quick.
Settings:
Convoy S2+: 0.1%, 1%, 10%, 50%, 100%
Convoy C8+: 100%, 1%

Can you answer me? I bought a convoy S2+ stt40 and would like the best 18650 battery option for it?
I've been using a Samsung 35E and it's had no problems. Decent discharge and great up time. Haven't used others though
Anything over 3000mAh. Now-days they can handle the discharge no matter the brand.
Molicel 2800 or 3000 Mah 35a discharge 18650 battery is what I use, not easy to get though unless you are determined.
@@Roboticdoughbull3k I'm not wasting 20A+ cells on something that will never drain over 5A. Want a cheap option ? LG MH1, it's overflood on the market with them, you can get unused ones as low as $1/cell.
Hi Matt: I got a convoy c8+ from China months ago and I don’t remember What I ordered! How do I tell if it’s an SST-40 or just a plain old C8+?

The SST-40 refers to the LED that comes with the C8+ :) So don't worry about there being a "plain version". As far as I know, there are 2 versions of the C8+ (regarding the LEDs), which are the SST40 LED and the XP-L Hi LED. Both are very bright, although I believe the SST40 is a tad bit brighter.

@@drobertjacobs Hello. As he said its almost same performance LEDs. Anyway you could use google/pictures to see SST40 and XP L Hi LED.
Its very easy then to see difference they are very different (or even If you dont have some other LED there... But theres almost no chance you have there some other less or more powerfull LED)

The mini is dim and yellow the sst 40 looks twice as bright what do you think?

SST40 is the LED bulb. The Driver is a ramping driver.

In the video you showed only 2 modes of C8...does it have only 2 modes-1% & 100%?? Plz Help
The one he use is the ramping mode driver which is can be set on what level he want.. choose the 4mode version it less complicated.
how many ampere the driver of sst20? and and also how many ampere the driver of sst40??

Ich bin nicht ganz sicher, aber ich meine s2+ hätte 0,3%/3%/30%/100% aber verbessere mich wenn ich falsch liege. aber ich habe auch die sst40 Version wenn ich mich nicht irre (1800lm).
