Amazing footage! I lived a few hounded kilometers south of Darwin for many years in a tropical rainforest, I recognize the environment and all these sounds and the many animals in tour videos is exactly what I experienced in the bush. ✌️👍👍
I cant believe it's Illegal to pick up a snake in a country. Boy is that some screwed up shit. I'm so glad I got into the hobby before people screwed it up. I caught my first pygmy rattlesnake at 10 in 1965. People were horrified and the camp counselor cut its head off.
"Cue the music" - 🤣Only on a Lou video. That trilobite is one wacky-looking critter, how cool. I have to be honest, when I hear anyone say, "Vinesnake", my eye twitches a bit. The second bamboo viper did have a neat-looking pattern. Part 2 looks like it's going to be a banger.
Nice... you saw more snakes in 1 night that I saw living in New Delhi for 3 years! 🙂 Guessing you were in the South? Episode 2 is looking to be pretty sweet too! Cheers!
Were you based in Bangalore and took a trip to the Ghats? I'd love to take a trip to India and start from Pondicherry to see Mysore and then head north. Bangalore is too huge a city for me. The spectacled cobra can kill you. The common krait and carpet viper likewise, but the snake that would terrify me the most is the Russell's viper. That's a serious snake.
Looks like it all kicked off in part two. Lou you should have went to Bangalore to see the Adiyogi shiva statue light and music show. I would love to see it in real life. I think you would like it Lou. He has a cobra hooded up on his right shoulder. 😂 They also have the worlds largest statue in india. It’s enormous. the statue of unity’s . India has a ton of cool statues. If you’re into that sort of thing. Which I am. You can watch the Adiyogi Shiva statue light show and story on youtube. It’s a cool experience watching it. It’s done by that Sadh guru fella. He tells the story.
i see many question about touching a snake in india , did a search copy and paste , Yes, snakes are protected as wild animals under various schedules of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972. Illegal hunting and possession of such protected snakes/ its body parts / venom are punishable offenses under the Act. The severity of punishment depends on the location (inside a protected area / outside the protected area) of the offense and the species of snake involved , as i suspected its due to poaching ....
Amazing video Lou! Are you still in India? You should definitely checkout some national parks in the north-east! Im in Delhi but wouldn't recommend you coming here cuz of the pollution levels this time of the year
So cool that you made it over to India, and I’m not surprised at how much you found given that you went out with Yatin. There is an unbelievable amount of wildlife over there, that has to be an amazing place to herp. The vine snakes and bamboo vipers are always cool, and seeing the checkered keelback swimming was interesting, I was hoping it would catch a frog. Looking forward to part 2.
Thank you for sharing. My wife is from India States of Nagaland and Manipur. Tangkhul Naga tribe. No shortage of beautiful snakes. Blyth's reticulated snake, Yellow-banded Wolf Snake and northeastern hill krait. The northeastern hill krait like to hangout in the bathhouse on her mother's compound overnite. The chinese Naked Neck Chickens slept in the trees at night. My wife said is was because of the Indian rock pythons. But I never saw one. Thank you for sharing!!
@@loub747 I guess most people don't have the urge to go around grabbing the snakes around there lol. So I would imagine that they probably don't have to enforce that law very often probably lol
Bamboo PVs one of my favorites. That beetle was cool! Very interesting, that piece of information about not being able to touch the snakes in India. Who can’t touch them? Because The people there touch, kill, capture and make $$$$$ off them daily. Would be interesting to find out if Chandler got himself a fine over there if this is true. You definitely cannot say you didn’t touch the snake when you post it to ytube and have to have 20 viles of antivenin 🤔🤨😏Thanks for the video Lou!!
I'm not sure about the not touching law. Singapore has the same. Not sure the fine would equate to much. That said, I try and follow the laws for the most part... Lou B
Cobras. Why did it have to be cobras? Lol the most terrifying thing in the world! 👍🏻
LOL. Love that reference! Iconic snakes for sure. Lou B

Ditto!
Thanks so much! Part two should be good! Hope alls well with you and yours. Lou B

It's my pleasure. Thanks for watching! Lou B
That's a female firefly (they keep the larval form after maturity). Trilobite beetles don't blink.
So I’ve been told. Appreciate that! Still cool to see. Thanks!! Lou B
Great video. Really appreciate you giving the temperature in Celsius as well 😂👌
Thanks! I always try and remember to do both F and C. Sometimes I forget though! Lou B
