Nice video. Stunning scenery along that section of PCH. You had some nice weather as well. Last couple rides for me along PCH (North of San Francisco) had overcast/foggy sky's and some light drizzle.
I take the trip about once a month and I have had some bouts with bad weather. I have learned to avoid PCH during the summer and early fall as the fog is pretty bad. These videos were created in December. I have found that winter is the best time to enjoy PCH in terms of weather and traffic.
Thanks! That is the great thing about the GoPro Hero 8. It has the hypersmooth feature that gives you gimbal-like video quality (without the gimbal). I appreciate your comment about "flying". I think this is one of the reasons why I love to ride. I feel like Aladdin, flying around on a magic carpet. :)

Thanks! I use the gopro hero8. I leave it on superwide 4K with stability boost. That's about it. As long as the sun is out, I am pretty happy with the video quality.
There are advantages and disadvantages of having the sun at your back. It is nice to see everything lit up, but then we would miss out on the reflection of the sun on the ocean. In my opinion, the advantages of the sun on the ocean outweigh the disadvantages.

It is mounted to the windscreen.
Always have the sun at your back to avoid lens flair. You should have started at the other end or at a different time of day.
