@@hidereplies1425 Oddly enough way back in 1973 when he sent in his audition tape to Deep Purple's management when they were looking for a replacement for Ian Gillan it was the sound of his speaking voice that drummer Ian Paice immediately noticed and thought he had potential even if he was a bit drunk on the tape! Thank god Ian noticed this or he could have been lost to us forever.
@@webmillions indeed its a surprisingly good album. I didnt like it at first probably because 8 year old me at the time thought Blackmore was irreplaceable. I do think he got it wrong with 'You keep on moving' though. That would have made Burn an even better album than it already was.

The Whitesnake "Slide It In" lineup is an awesome one for the ages!!! It can stand toe to toe with any other great band including Led Zeppelin.

I lost my virginity to this album. I was 14 and she was 16. I put this tape in my boom box and she went nuts over it. One of my all time fave albums, that has a little bit extra personal history to it. Thank you Whitesnake.

@@jnishar HA...well when I hit "play" Love Aint No Stranger had just started. But by the time we got Slow N Easy...it was on. Ended around the time All or Nothing started. So it was the perfect (perfect imo) soundtrack. My 1st time, but it definitely wasnt hers.

@@frodofraggins I wouldn't say fakes it, I know a couple of people that lived elsewhere from where they're from and the accents just gone, sometimes people pick up the 'twang' of the area they moved to.
@@markorollo. it's possible. I'd have to see an evolution of his accent to be sure. but it's very off putting when you know how he originally sounded.

Wow already 35 years !! it`s insane !! when the years moving so fast :))) I wanna let David Coverdale know he is absolutely one of my favorite "Rock Star in All Time" when i was younger everytime after my school hearing his track on my radio day in day out by the track "Is it love & Here i go again " that just amazing ! Slip Of The Tongue 30th anniversary boxset comes out October 4 2019. I agree with you that all bands should release classic anniversary albums as boxsets. I love listening to new remixes, demos, live songs, and unreleased songs. Whitesnake has done an amazing job these past few years releasing four boxsets. The 1987 self titled album 30th anniversary boxset, Unzipped boxset which has only acoustic performances, the 35th anniversary boxset of Slide It In, and Slip Of The Tongue 30th anniversary boxset.

Their best album, IMO. I had just seen MSG in 1984 and paid £5.50. WS were charging £6.50 which was expensive at the time. I got that tour programme as well (still have it) - cost £3 if I remember correctly. Cozy's drum solo stands out in the memory - flame throwers and all!

Live in Glasgow Apollo haha I was at that show, Great White were the support. I'm sure the ticket was £5, I was in the stalls. I also seen them in Manchester and Newcastle that year, 16 years old I was....great memories.

David, I have bought this album several times in several editions during the last 35 years : K7 back in the day, CD original back in the day, CD remaster in 2009, also in a WS bundle, on Vinyl... and now this one. I must multiply this for every other WS albums too. You broke me... but will continue to get those. Keep up the flame alive.

I remember the first time i heard this album. Rocked my clock. The only real way to listen to Whitesnake is on a great system with crazy speakers set on warp factor 10. The new Snake is fantastic

Umm, how about how about there's absolutely NO reason to? That CD was an excellent Production with a tight, clean, and punchy Mix. Maybe you need to get a good audio system and not listen to Music on Chinese-made garbage from Best Buy lol
@@1970borntorun Coverdale Page will be remastered when Jimmy Page and Coverdale has time to do it cause rhino as asked them cause there are songs that did not make it on the original album.
