    SCAM ALERT: There are scammers pretending to be me in my RUclips comments, they are even using my same photo. I will never ask you to message me on WhatsApp and when I do release my course, it will be for sale on my website only, not through private messaging. So sorry to anyone that these scammers have bothered already!

    I want to say, I watched a few videos by other people then went to Printify Support and asked them how to set up personalized ornaments in Printify. They sent me a link with a video…it was awful! She talked way too fast, didn’t show us what to ‘click’ on to get where she’s flying to as she’s talking. I was more confused and frustrated AFTER I watched and paused the video three times. I ended up going to RUclips and searching thru your videos. I THINK I can do it now (I took copious amounts of notes lol.) If they left me an option to review the explanatory video I’d say what I did here plus say their instructors need to watch your tutorials to see how it’s done or just straight up hire you. Thank you for your step by step tutorials with visuals. People all learn differently, some can read it and get it, some hear it and some need to see sit being done; I’m in the later group. Thank you again.

    This is a great tutorial. For my own art on Etsy, I will need print variations for Wall Art "sizes" for personalized artwork, plus options for print, rolled canvas, mounted canvas and panel mounted. I am preparing the sample images right now just starting out. I would guess this approach would be similar to just create 2 variations with prices to match, plus personalized text area. Personalized.Tshirts and mugs may be later with Printify.

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  Год назад +2

      I don't have a video on Etsy plus but I do really like it! It's $10/month but you get $5 in free ads and then some free listings so it really only costs you about $3 - $4 per month total. The only difference really is you can have a banner that slides from one to the next for a total of three different images, your banners can be clickable so they can bring you to a certain listing or collection, and you can set up your shop a little different. Instead of just 4 featured items at the top, you can feature whole collections like I have done in my mockup store.
      This is by no means necessary but I really like the aesthetic so I think it's worth the money. But you can decide if you like those features or not!

    Can you explain the difference between this personalization tutorial verses the one that eventually all SKU’s have to be copied and pasted. Or was that for group orders? Was that your video or Heathers? 😂 I watch both of you! I remember the process was started in Etsy like this one in the event Nobody ever orders it you wouldn’t have to do all the SKU changes or additional ones for different sizes/color variations. Was that an old version of doing personalization, not your way of doing it - Heathers-or a group order?
    -Also have you done a Hello Custom tutorial yet?
    -I had to reach out to Printify (and I made sure to give you, Mandy, Heather and Hannah major praise for being so thorough and informative) -
    I need some help on making a requested design patchwork (appears like a quilt) big enough for large projects such as shower curtain or blankets that are NOT a pattern. All elements needed to be inside the template and it kept leaving white space, I tried turning into a SVG as Mandy offered me support too, but same issue and eventually I found it easier to upload into printify as they recommended-one by one (a pain) they also recommended using their text box for personalization, so all changes could be done right there, but I wasn’t fond of the limited fonts or that process bc as in Kittl there are no grids/rulers (Kittl has a tad more than they did). But I did like the option to add the layers for text in Printify and not having to go back to Kittl or Canva to change the template and upload again. I’m NO Ps person and that’s the issue! Do you ever add your personal layers within their system?
    I’d been told to turn it into a PDF, then a PNG and I had issues in Canva doing that.
    It was a bad day and I gave up! Is there a way you could do a tutorial (I see many ppl asking and there are only 3-4 videos and they are either patterns or super simple and not very detailed very basic big product.
    Mandy has done blankets and they are awesome but only patterns, like I said she tried helping me also.
    If you could do a tutorial that had personalization, a few large elements where some of the elements are layered on top with an image and personalization throughout it so therefore the product has to be big enough to upload in printify.
    I know this is A LOT, but I know by reading every comment I am not the only one having this issue of getting the size big enough to apply to largest product and it would mean the world to me. I have tried this 10 times and failed. If not, I understand and TY as always

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  9 месяцев назад +1

      I don't always no, especially if it's just the words they are changing but not anything else and they already know what the layout will be. But if you want to send proofs, then I would send them the picture of the design and let them know to reply back about any changes within 12 hours or after that timeframe no changes will be accepted. Then send the order to production after the 12 hours.

      Even when you post things normally, it does not automatically update stock on Etsy when things are out of stock. The nice thing about Printify though is there is almost always a different print provider that will have that size/color in stock so you can just switch printers. Worst case though you just message them and ask them to pick another color

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  Год назад

      I tend to use women model mockups the most since those are the niches I mainly design for personally. But for group mockups, I tend to use more flat lays because you can get them a lot closer in the frame together. But I wouldn't overthink it too much. You just want to make sure your design is really nice and easy to read from the tiny thumbnail and that the photo is flattering for the shirt so they think it will look nice on them!

    Hi Cassiy! You’re videos are always so helpful! I also purchased your expenses spreadsheet - game changer, thanks! I was wondering if you could share your thoughts on how in the world to make a profit selling sweatshirts?? I can work out to 25/30% profit for tshirts, but with sweatshirts it seems that in order to even get to 15/20% profit I have to have the sale price set to well above the average selling price on Etsy (which is about $30-$40). I can’t figure out how people selling sweatshirts (and I’m not talking about the $10 ones) are making it worthwhile. Are they just making a small profit and not worried about it, are these people who make them themselves and don’t use a print provider? Do they all have Printify Premium and therefore the price to the seller is $5 less so they make a profit because the cost of the shirt is less for them? Any insights would be appreciated. Thanks so much! ❤

    Thank you for another great video! I have an unrelated question. When I first started I only purchased a few mockups in just a few colors. I’m slowly adding more as I go to my mock-up repertoire. How do you edit a listing on Etsy to include new color options? Do you edit in Printify and publish it to Etsy? I’m unsure how that works or how you can edit prices on listings so that it’s all connected together. I’ve had listings not be synced correctly before so I don’t want to make that mistake again. I’m also wondering if I wanted to offer children sizes if I should make a new listing or add it to an already existing listing. Thank you so much in advance and for all your videos!!

    Question: Does Printify show this order from Etsy shop in OTHER ORDERS, even though at this point in time, when order is made by customer, it is not attached in any way to printify? Or is it somehow attached to Printify through an unpublished template type of listing?

    Thank you so much for another great video. I’ve been working hard on my store but have been too afraid to list custom items. I made 3 to see how it goes. I was wondering why you need the sku variation and why set the quantity at 999 (if it is an automatic renewal will Etsy re-list it?). Also, I spent a month listing 500 items (lol), and have them all set to automatic. I recently heard you say in another video you choose manual. Can you tell me the difference? Thanks again! You really are an inspiration for me and your videos make it easy🥰

    Hi Cassiy! I watched and created a listing. My question is about colors and prices transferring from Printify to Etsy when the SKU is copied and pasted? The 3 boxes in the top left corner in Etsy in the variations about quantities, color and pricing need to be checked or unchecked? My prices or colors did not transfer. I added a variation for color and that seemed to work. But still the prices were all 0. Should the prices transfer or do they each need to be added manually for each size variation also? Thank you

    Hey Cassiy I have a question and I’m hoping you can help me out since I’m fairly new to the whole POD world….
    How are you supposed to cover the costs upfront selling from Esty/Printify?
    (Like if you are unable to get a credit card) and don’t have the money in your bank account to keep up with your orders. Say for example you have $500 worth of orders to submit but you only have $200 in your account to pay upfront. Idk if that makes sense lol. Thanks in advance!❤❤

    Hi Cassiy, I have been watching your videos the past few months and you have been so helpful. I just opened my Etsy store last week and would really like to add personalized items. When someone places an order for a personalized item and it's sent to Printify in other orders does this mean it would not be sent to production until you modify and place the order yourself?? I have Printify set to automatically send orders to production at a certain time everyday and was nervous if this would affect personalized items. Thank you again for all your help!!!

    Hi Cassidy! I’ve been watching all your videos, thank you so much for sharing all your knowledge! Can you please help me by answering me if I can sell t-shirts on Etsy with Creative Fabrica designs without edit them? Or do I always need to modify it to sell? Thank you!

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  Год назад +1

      You need to look at the license for each creative fabrica design you considering selling. Under the title of the design there will be a link that tells you if it has commercial license or a print on demand license. It’s important to read both of these licenses to make sure you understand how you can use things.
      If it has a POD license, then technically you should be able to list it as is on an item without making changes. BUT you would need to take that design out of your store if you ever cancelled your subscription. Also designs can be stolen and sold on that website. So for that second reason, I try to only use parts of designs to make my own unique design to try to avoid getting any copyright infringements. Hope that helps!

    Hello cassiy, I'm making designs for up coming holiday or valentines designs when it is good time to list them. Do you recommend straight away to put ads on them?

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  Год назад

      I really recommend having listings for holidays up 8 - 12 weeks for the holiday ideally but then to keep listing more variations as you get closer to the 4-5 week mark depending on what is working for you already by adding more variations etc. So definitely go ahead and post the Valentines day ones! You'd be surprised how early people shop for those things.

    Hi Cassiy, your videos are great, I'm watching as many of them as I can, thanks for the helpful info. I'm just opening a shop and today I spent hours doing my first listings with pretty mockups etc. but realized my pricing was probably a little too aggressive, so I went into Printify to change them all, and when I went back to my Etsy shop, all of my pretty mockups and other images are gone, replaced with Printify's mockups. This means hours of work lost. Can you advise how to edit a Printify listing so that it doesn't delete photos on Etsy? Many thanks.

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  Год назад +5

      Congrats on getting started but I am so sorry that happened to you! First I will let you know to only ever update your pricing on the Etsy side after publishing. The pricing does not need to match between Printify and Etsy, this information does not affect anything since Printify does not send any type of invoice to the customer on how much they paid and it costs you the same to pay Printify no matter what. Here is a video I made on how to bulk change prices on Etsy for the future ruclips.net/video/JCqcBay21SM/видео.html
      If you do need to edit anything within Printify in the future like update a design, then when you get to the publishing page on printify, there will be options to uncheck right at the bottom of the page before you push it to Etsy. The section will say "Product details to sync with your Etsy store" and uncheck anything you don't want to have it redo like the mockups and title. Hope this helps!

    I have a question about Etsy's free shipping guarantee:
    If the cost of the merchandise is $31, for example, and the shipping is $5. Is the $35 free shipping threshold based on the $31 price, or on the $36 price?

    I also wanted to add free shipping but it kept asking me the weight and size of packaging. I looked for the info on printify and can’t seem to find it. How were you able to have your shipping as fixed priced rather than calculated price?
    If I didn’t want to have free shipping, could I select the same shipping info as another listing for the same style and company?

    Thanks for all your info-I've been re-watching all your videos but I am really stuck on just getting my store open. I followed the tutorial and put a mock listing (I now have two) and I get the message "congratulations on you listing you will be charged .40 when you open your store. I have also created two products in printify and used your code for the first month. I have connected to store and when they show up in my branded storefront. But when I click on them they say "product not available" And the two mock up ones do not show up there. When I try to stock my shop with draft listing and open shop I get a message saying "You need to complete your shop" Any ideas? I have check that all my payments and billings are set up and emails are verified.
