We have gone from protecting athletes from the horrors of being forced to use testosterone (ie. rampant abuse in the Soviet Union) that saw many athletes change sex involuntary and/or commit suicide, to now trying to allow sex-change men to compete in women's events... The substrate that underpins the electrical patterns of our thoughts is biochemical and always changing in response to hormones (among other things) and other regulatory system. Tech might be able to emulate the generation of electrical signals at some level, and hence our thoughts, but without the underlying substrate, that mind will not change in the same way. What could go wrong?
With it being an AI, they could give updates with improvements in adaptability. Give it a stronger hold on key character traits and beliefs, but have i details change with circumstances. Again, this will diverge from the original human development of personality, but still having human character. Physicists are getting into playing with and working out some necessary conditions of actual multiverses -- spiritually the generation of new souls by such splitting events, or the existence of parallel sub-units of one soul, is not outside what we could expect from an omnipotent and loving Creator.
I was thinking further back. It seems pretty close to an episode of The Outer Limits from 95 or 96. I miss the voice of Control. I think he died recently. One of my all-time favorite narrators.
So...the 'real human' dies once the AI takes over?? Am not sure that would be satisfying to EITHER partner.... 😵 (Well made film however! Kept me totally involved. Kudos to the fine actors! And to all those who put this production together.)
More like 50 years... Brain transplant research is well funded covertly, sometimes even overtly, with publicity.. Gene Therapies and other regenerative biotech are also advancing rapidly. Memory transfer may not even be needed, but backups and clones would be desirable for mental-case elites.
I’m sure it’s being worked on as we speak. The theory that we are all living in a simulation is that this may have already happened thousands of years ago and what you and I experience every day is merely an algorithm that’s running through a complex computer somewhere and our bored descendants are tapped into it and living their lives as though they are observers living though our experiences.

Or they have a desire to be trans-humans (neo beings addicted to 'enhancements' and 'upgrades') - neo gods.. Those that try to show the odds of us being in a simulation as 'high' are like Creatard PREACHERS, twisting and warping facts and reality to suit their agenda (usually making money through spouting USELESS, demeaning theories).
There's two reasons for that. Spiritually, a blackbird can represent the idea of change or they're thought to appear when you need to know whether or not your intuition is correct. The second reason is the verbiage used to pair her physical AI is from a Wallace Stevens poem called 13 ways of looking at a Blackbird.
the line “a man and a woman are one” then “a man and a woman and a blackbird are one” make the appearance of a blackbird into a spiritual component in the scene bridging them together and in this case, representing technology, what technology can do. Here technology (the blackbird novel addition or interloper) bridges the couple and is able to bring them together, revealing how a technological appliance can be a spiritual thing

Maybe the 1st wife was a robot, V1, and able to upload herself into a newer body, V2... It never directly implies that she wasn't a robot all along, since her eyes were open at the hospital (a real human's eyes would dry out in minutes without blinking with eyes open in a coma).
@MarqueeLouisville ..... Hi, just wanted you to know I enjoyed your short. Also, OneLastCrusader brings up an interesting point about this short - Sara's eyes. A _person_ in coma will have their eyes closed, either voluntarily by the patient or taped by hospital staff. As Sara's eyes were open (until manually shut at the end), one might conclude she was Sara Version 1, and this might also explain her grainy image on the monitor as a robot wouldn't have an entire sense of self. What say you to this interpretation? ✌️☺️
@@nancyharper1360 the ambiguity of Sarah is a big piece of the short. Did she survive? When was the switch made? Is Sarah truly wanting to be uploaded or is the company using her voice to push Matt into purchasing a new product. As a proof of concept it's tough to give too much away in case it's able to be picked up later on for a feature.

When you Take a break from the robots taking over the world type stories and focus on the positive things technology can do its really sweat
Yeah. Sweet, too.
Nicely done! Great acting and plot.
Thanks so much!
This is dope af!
When a video title states, "Award Winning", just remember that it is PUFFERY and an opinion.
Your face is a bit puffery.
Agreed, It's hardcore Trans propaganda... It started with 'normalising' Transvestites and Transsexuals and ended with the Neo Beings of Planet Terra greatly replacing humanity... Progressive Trans Movement pushers are the worst kind of progressives that deserved to hated and feared for the shit they push.

The conspiracy theorist speaks!
@@dr.OgataSerizawa .. Hardly a secret conspiracy, the Trans-inhumanist agenda is everywhere and overt brain transplant attempts have been covered by the MSM and covert brain transplant research has been uncovered over the years as ultra-progressive regimes fall.. There are those in the overt private sector openly receiving donations to work on the issue..
--
The Trans Agenda is out in the open now.. We have gone from protecting athletes from the horrors of being forced to use testosterone (ie. rampant abuse in the Soviet Union) that saw many athletes change sex involuntary and/or commit suicide, to now trying to allow sex-change men to compete in women's events... All out the open, as most of what were 'conspiracy theories' now are.
With the advancement of AI technology this may come true.
Absolutely wonderful! ❤😊
Strange that they have the technology to connect to the mind of a woman in a coma, yet lack the ability to make her face look realistic on the screen.
LOL very good point!
Priorities! We were shooting people out into space before we got around to laptops.
That's what I was thinking!
A very well thought out story. I loved it.
Very well done!😊
Thanks for checking it out!
I couldn’t do that. This is heartbreaking.
Very well thought out and well-done. (Only one caveat---at the beginning, she say "Your breakfast is getting cold"---but he goes to the kitchen to eat cold cereal! LOL!) Very enjoyable short!
Yeah, I think that was supposed to be a joke between them as he giggled and then went to eat his cold cereal.
@@Mardi-Shorts-DevonGirlUK Yes---thought that was too obvious to be an error!!
It sounded to me like she was making a joke.
and when both are dead ? should the AI continue ?
Love the shots on this. Great job! Great acting too!

Give it a stronger hold on key character traits and beliefs, but have i
details change with circumstances.
People that brush their teeth when they wake up are " Confused."

this was good. one day this will be reality too.
Damn, now there's an ending that's gonna stay with me 😳
This would be great on DUST

Powerful Valentine's SyFy!
Yeah, that was very good. Thank you
Thank you for checking it out!
My, how advanced our world would be today if this happened to all the brilliant minds of yesteryears.
I enjoyed this, but to be honest this was done better by Black Mirror like 5 years ago. This almost feels more like a nod to that episode.
I was thinking further back. It seems pretty close to an episode of The Outer Limits from 95 or 96. I miss the voice of Control. I think he died recently. One of my all-time favorite narrators.
That was really good he had a lot of demons he was dealing with but at the end he pulled through
Best Valentines Day SyFy!
It’s natural to want it to last.
Naturally, someone will sell you artificial.
100%
So...the 'real human' dies once the AI takes over?? Am not sure that would be satisfying to EITHER partner.... 😵 (Well made film however! Kept me totally involved. Kudos to the fine actors! And to all those who put this production together.)
Thanks for checking it out!
I don't think it's AI, i think it's the wife's actual consciousness being downloaded into a synthetic body while her real body dies
Beautiful. Perhaps one day this will be common. I’m not sure of the implications. Perhaps don’t drive tired. The scenario never had to happen…
You must be a blast at parties...
@@sofabuddhayou would be surprised.
🤣🤣🤣
Black Mirror but with a humanity twist.
She could get me" upload" every single day of my life.
Goodbye? Great buy!
If this was possible? I would not bring back someone who is about to die, but someone who is alive before the addiction ruined their life.
Already companies proposing doing this with LLMs
I liked it!
"Whar would you do without me?" Get more sleep !
How long before we become “immortal” through use of manufactured bodies and memory transfer? Within a few hundred years?
@@Traderjoe .. Simulation Theory is the biggest load of bunk since 'God Did It' was uttered by every lame-brained God Believer... It's the biggest insult to reality and physics out there, as bad as Creation 'Science'.. It's for thickos who want to not believe in God overtly, but deep down they really do, even if they don't realise it..
Great flick thanks
One of my favorites
Where does the BLACKBIRD fit in all this? Maybe I missed something.
@@MarqueeLouisville Thanks! Those are two things I didn't know about blackbirds.
the line “a man and a woman are one” then “a man and a woman and a blackbird are one” make the appearance of a blackbird into a spiritual component in the scene bridging them together and in this case, representing technology, what technology can do. Here technology (the blackbird novel addition or interloper) bridges the couple and is able to bring them together, revealing how a technological appliance can be a spiritual thing
A not so distant possibility of medical science regarding choices about certain neurological disorders like "locked in" syndrome. Hopeful but also frightening.
Apakah ini bagian dari episode BLACK MIRROR ?
Maybe the 1st wife was a robot, V1, and able to upload herself into a newer body, V2... It never directly implies that she wasn't a robot all along, since her eyes were open at the hospital (a real human's eyes would dry out in minutes without blinking with eyes open in a coma).
I too noted the open eyes, and now that you mention it, it is highly possible he ordered V2. Thanks for throwing that out there. ✌️☺️
@@MarqueeLouisville ...

Excellent question. I have same impression now.
Look at her face after she said "Hey stranger."
@@enjolis "uncanny valley" (the phenomenon whereby a computer-generated figure or humanoid robot bearing a near-identical resemblance to a human being arouses a sense of unease or revulsion in the person viewing it.)
On NPR I heard of a family wita a parent about to die soon, recording as many stories and interactive phrases typical of the person as possible, for a countertop AI to just give the feel of talking with them a#ter th. parent passes, for as long as the family feels the need. They view it as like an inspirational calendar sort of tool, that will eventually be outgrown. The family will actually celebrate and mourn the passing of their loved one at the usual time.
This is not ok. This is one of the most bizarre shorts ive ever seen. This would cancel humans...
Trippy, this will probably be possible someday.

"Dr. Korby... was never here."
The video quality of screen-Sarah could have been better. All that technology and they could only give a grainy, glitching, green image with no other colour and no background. What was that all about?
It's meant to be a projection of her consciousness so the idea is that it wouldn't be a pure feed because it was just attempting to create a likeness from her thoughts. Cool question, I love dissecting it!
@@MarqueeLouisville That makes sense. It's a feed from the electrodes she wears in real life, minimally processed by external tech.
