Hey "Travelling K". I've been following your channel since "Hunt for the Karavan". I was looking for alternative living situations to my own and I started watching your channel to see if a 'Karavan" was a serious alternative to my 3 bed in the waikato. I've watched you travel around the world and end up less than a hour away. It reminds me of an add from the 70/80s regaling the idea of "don't leave home till you've seen the country". Anyhoo... I've watched relationships grow, life been made and life been lost. I've seen life changing decisions been made and life changing directions been taken. I think I've been vicariously watching for about 6 or 7 years now and I want to tell you how much I appreciate your honesty and vulnerability and that of those around you. It must be scary at times to put your life on line. You are an admirable person deserving of everything good that comes your way. Your work is humble, honest and most importantly, entertaining. In short... Thanks Karen, keep making it, I'll keep watching it. I've got nothing going on, it's nice to see someone who has.🙂
I've watched to about same said time Karen interviewed me and looked at my retro caravan at Hamilton caravan show must be about 6/7 years back I've followed her page ever since
Awesome work, I think it's best to also have the exterior cladding as complete as possible prior to winter so was worth the time and effort. Now you can get a room lined and sorted and get the fire in and work away in a nice warm house finishing things off.
In England we put a gold sovereign into the wall space for good luck….i knew somebody that found 8 in an old house wall during a refurbishment..great place for a time capsule….a newspaper or a letter..
You have really done an awesome job on the insulation ! You should be very proud of yourself- and it really really REALLY makes me happy to see you smiling 😊😊😊😊😊❤😊😊😊😊😊❤😊😊😊
Hi Karen, I've been catching up with your previous videos since I found your RUclips channel back in 2022. I hope you are doing better and will eagerly await your next videos whenever you post them
Absolutely, wonderful progress. Congradulations on passing. Move in is getting closer. Great job. Thank you for sharing. Everyone stay safe, warm, happy and healthy. From Henrico County Virginia
Wow, what beautiful views you have from those lovely big windows. You really have picked a gorgeous spot for the house to be built on. So slow and steady has paid off in the end, far better than having redo something for the sake of compliance. It’s going really well & all power to you Karen for rolling up your sleeves and getting stuck in. That insulation should keep you all warm and cosy, you’ve made a really neat job of it, well done 👏🏻
It’s lovely to see you so much happier. You will certainly be in your cosy home for winter. It’s really nice to see an authentic someone on the other side of the world making a beautiful home and gardens. I first met you when you met David on the canal in England. I live in Ontario in Canada.
WooHoo Karen, well done, great job mate, and it PASSED. At least it's insulated for winter, if possible it would be great if the wood heater could be somewhat installed so you can keep going through winter. Your legends Karen and Hayden. Seeya Rob
A job well done K .knew you'd pass the inspection it looked so good iyou've been very thorough in your work .Here in Canada its nearly Spring so I'm guessing ts its fall or autumn for you .We had a strange winter ,not too much snow, quite wet but we did have some -20c. I'm almost finished the rehab course from my stroke and feel alm0st back to normal.. With the exterior ipretty much done this winter you'll be able to do the drywall and decorating and you'll be snug.. Take care, my best regards to you all ......keep smilingX XX
It looks like you have enough scraps of insulation to do the interior walls as well. You'd be surprised at how effective that is at keeping heat/cold in a room, as well as quieting the space.
Hi karen you work so hard on the house which is coming along really well, hows little Reece? Is your brother still living with you? Fantastic job.. well done👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤xx
Congratulations!!! Well done!! We are so so happy for you guys. You have worked really hard and now the rewards are going to come big tine. Big big hugs from the team here. Love to you.
Yay - Whoop whoop!!! Gosh you are sooo good at that insulation installation. I love seeing other women who, like myself, are can do people. We get stuff done! 😂🥰
What a beautiful big space! Me and expanding foam can't be in the same room...I make such a mess 😂 you'll be pleased the exterior is fully finished this winter so it's completely weatherproof. ❤
I love your can-do attitude, I started following you when you were touring England, if you came across a problem you took it on, always with success! Love that your house is nearing completion!
Congratulations on your work I have been an avid watcher of your channel since your caravan days in England and look forward to more in the future.John Smith
Good job Karen! I'll bet your arms were an itchy mess! In the states, we don't put horizonal braces in between. That would save him a lot of time and money.
Hi Karen, Well has been a while since my last contact, Does your hubby hire out marques that would be suitable for a wedding in January NXT yr we are in the Wiakato on a farm and is plenty of room for you to stay if so chose , I want to keep money going to small business and thought of you let me know if can help at all kindest regards julie
@@TravellingK Yes my daughter is getting married , Yes I knew he did events but I thought on off chance he may of had a marque to hire keeping it to the people for people but that's ok was a thought and thankyou for getting back to me Karen I truely appreciate I'll keep looking they have a son about the same age as your wee boy
No fencing to keep a dog inside of makes it too much of a work load on a woman who is alone on a large acreage with a toddler. When Reese is a few years older he can help with looking after a dog and keeping it exercised with lots of play and running around time.

That was so satisfying to watch Karen, I'm so please for you too about getting the o.k by the building inspector. You rock.
You really did a great job with insulation. Every piece put into place marks one step closer to moving in before winter. We're all very happy for you!
Looks like your luck is in for a cozy winter. That view is priceless!

Lovely to hear! Aiming to post a video this Tuesday 😀😀
Just a tip, When using sprayfoam the can should be upside down otherwise you waste all the gas inside before the foam runs out.

Well done on passing the inspection .I agree that doing all the work on the exterior first was the right decision
What a cheerful thumbnail......the colour of that green T-shirt suits you.....very strategic ???
