Karen you’re an amazing awesome mama 💕🤗you’re doing just fine, I can’t believe just how much Reece has grown, he was proper poorly bless him x🤗 Such a great partner/ father Hayden is 🙌🏽to drive over & support you both 🥳🤗 Glad you’re both on the mend & could continue your camping trip xx
Oh my gosh, look how much he's grown!!! 🥰😍 Oh bless you. Sometimes no matter what you do/try it's just always one step forward and 10 steps back with toddlers. I've got a 2 (nearly 3!) and 4 year old now. I always feel like when I go to effort for my children it just backfires, sometimes the simplest days out are the best. Aw how lovely of Hayden to come out too. I said to my husband the other day it's such a strange feeling because I'm surrounded constantly by them and needed 24/7, and yet sometimes on days out with them I can feel SO lonely with no other real adult contact/conversation. Mum life is hard but I'm finding it gets easier as they get older. There are always challenges but wait until Rhys starts talking to you, on your lowest days you'll find he'll say something sweet to make you smile. ❤️Love your updates! Xx
Also, we have an app in the UK called Playground Buddy... It's amazing! Wherever you are in the UK it will show you playgrounds nearby with a summary and photos of what it's like. It's great! I wonder if there's something like that in NZ too?
And I’ve found Reese sometimes loves the simple days. He finds his own fun. Yes, hard to stop swaying!! What a fantastic app! I wonder if there’s a NZ version 🤔
He's a real boy!! Willowhaven campground right on the lake is meant to be nice. Never been there. Breast milk will cure your conjunctivitis. We used to squeeze it into bubs eyes but a bit hard to squeeze it into your own lol cut up onion and wrap in a tea towel and hold it on his ear overnight. In the morning earache will be gone. I tried it and it works. I remember every night going to be saying "well we both survived ", and in the morning I would again say "well we both survived ". Meaning me and child survived each others company when things weren't going right lol gota have a good sense of humour as a parent.
I can say that travel with our wee daughter has definitely changed how we travel and camp. There's so much more to consider, and plan around her needs, sleep etc. We make an effort to keep doing at least one trip away in the caravan per month, and occasionally I take her away for a night, just the two of us which is challenging but awesome. It's definitely more about the life adventure for her than the relaxation for us, but it does get easier I think
This was a delightful story Karen. Been there done that when the kids were young, LoL. They are now in their 50s except for John my eldest, who is no longer with us, sadly. But, everything you are currently experiencing with Reese was exactly the same as Sylvia and i had so many years ago when i was with the MoT. Hang in there Karen, it gets better, LoL. Bob LH.
wow all the tree snow! I think its cotton/fluff off willow or poplar trees. we have a park in Upper Hutt (Trentham Memorial Park) that had a whole pile of that stuff on the ground and blowing EVERYWHERE a little bit before Xmas. I think that's their season of shedding. Hope no allergies for Reese - love watching him grow & explore. Good to see u back! & HNY!
Hi. The window inserts shrink but usually have a huge overlap, so you should be able to remove the insert, reposition it and replace using the original strip. Hope things are better on your next holiday.
Nice update, I hope your eye continues to clear up. And a ruptured ear drum does sound a bit painful for your little man. Take care and the repairs look good on the caravan by the way. And a great update. Thanks for sharing... Vic
Sophie had just turned four when I did my first solo caravan trip with her. Setting up and down is trying but apart from that I think ok. He’s so like Hayden 😂
As a child, young adult and young married person I enjoyed all kinds of camping. Once our first daughter could crawl, it became no longer fun in any respect. The responsibility for small ones colored the whole endeavor and turned it into periods of time with no rest and much more work. I decided to stop thinking of these trips as vacations at all, they were important experiences for the children. Just my opinion, but I don't believe I'm alone.
We found that up until the age of four every trip was postponed or delayed or affected by illness and did end up staying home more. It does get easier. My daughter now 6! However post covid all a bit more cautious.
Thank you very much karen for this vidéo with your son and caravan 🙏😉😉 It 's Nice to see you reversing again with your caravan ! Big kisses to you both from France 🇨🇵
Great to see you back. It seems ages since you last posted a video. I've been to Rotorua. Fascinating place albeit a bit smelly. Hope little Reece is fine now (he looks so much like Haydon) and your eye has cleared up. Looking forward to your next adventures.
Maybe by the time he is 18 things will ease up children need full time attention and you never stop worrying my son is 54 and I still worry about him but that’s part of being a mother
Blimey. Wait til you get a brother. We had a loyalty card for the doctors surgery when they got into wars and fights. Sickness and kids go hand in hand. All the bugs they have to get used to. Shits and aches. Teething. Broken bones cracked heads from bikes, rugby etc... As to nzmca. You might be better off for reasons of age group checking out allpoints camping. They're a younger age set. Nzmca is like like waiting room. Allpoints have an extensive camping directory too. Growing all the time. Same and better benfits for savings and ferry etc.
You don't say it so I will HI,HAPPY NEW YEAR treat your audience with a bit of respect, would you walk up to someone and proceed to talk without say hi and/or how u doing. manners don't cost anything.
Its never easy, but as they get older its different..hang in there lovely. Good times are ahead :) Hope you both feel better.

Thanks Jeannie. He’s growing so fast! Glad Hayden could make it.
Oh my gosh, look how much he's grown!!! 🥰😍

I love how you're rocking/swaying at 2:50 even though you're not holding Rhys... I still find myself doing that now and my youngest is nearly 3 lol! X

The trials and tribulations of holidays with babies 🥴 Hayden would have been a very welcome sight for sore eyes.... pardon the pun 🤭
Haha🤣 He was very welcome!!

Wow! So impressed you make a trip once a month! A great outlook. I’m starting to ease into it again.
Aww Reece’s lovely blonde hair he’s growing up fast.🥰
It’s lightened so much in the sun! And yes, growing so so fast

Very entertaining especially with Reece

You are doing a fantastic job with your little man
Thank you!!

Traveling with kids is always fun . We used to pack all the kid meds In the trailer ever time.
I learnt that I need to cover every medical option!!
You are doing such a great job! ❤
If you ever want another Rotorua break we have a park space with power and water not far from the lake on our little farm!
Sounds lovely!!
Great to see you both in the caravan...❤👍🌄 more travel please K
We’re getting back into travel again 😀
Nice update, I hope your eye continues to clear up. And a ruptured ear drum does sound a bit painful for your little man. Take care and the repairs look good on the caravan by the way. And a great update. Thanks for sharing... Vic
Thanks Vic!! Eye is back to normal! Next illness was a stomach bug last weekend 🤣
Sophie had just turned four when I did my first solo caravan trip with her. Setting up and down is trying but apart from that I think ok.
He’s so like Hayden 😂
I think he’s like Hayden too! I think I’m slowly getting systems in place for packing etc
You’re making some lovely memories….even if you and the wee chap are poorly sometimes!
Hopefully some great memories!

Lovely mum and son time, glad it worked out for you and you didn’t have to dash home.
I’m glad we stuck it out
Yes it does get easier.
We found that up until the age of four every trip was postponed or delayed or affected by illness and did end up staying home more. It does get easier. My daughter now 6! However post covid all a bit more cautious.
Ahh yes, so many surprise illnesses. I just picked up a stomach bug from daycare, then passed it on to Hayden who’s gone to setup an event!
Thank you very much karen for this vidéo with your son and caravan 🙏😉😉
It 's Nice to see you reversing again with your caravan !
Big kisses to you both from France 🇨🇵
So good to get back to caravanning again

Yes! 3 weeks with no videos while daycare was shut. But got some good footage 😀 Rotorua is an interesting place…
Hello! Good to see you, nice that you have a trip. That is not a problem the Rice was little sick
Maybe by the time he is 18 things will ease up children need full time attention and you never stop worrying my son is 54 and I still worry about him but that’s part of being a mother
So just 16.5 years to go? 🤔 But they’re worth it 💛
Exactly! But it does get better. Hang in there.....take it a day at a time. He is a beautiful little guy!!
It really does get easier with children.
oh did the young boy catch pink eye from kindy? sore ears and know you with pink eye? gold ring to rub on your eye.
Hi, which app do you use to find spots on private property?
Blimey. Wait til you get a brother.
We had a loyalty card for the doctors surgery when they got into wars and fights.
Sickness and kids go hand in hand.
All the bugs they have to get used to.
Shits and aches. Teething. Broken bones cracked heads from bikes, rugby etc...

Oh I didn’t know allpoints had campground options! Interesting
It does get easier. Also less cute.
