7:03..... this is the first time I have actually understood this completely. I could never quite wrap my head around the closed loop idea because, even if it eventually becomes a closed loop, it still had to have started somewhere and that was never quite explained. Speedsters that die end up in the speedforce right? So it's possible the time remnant Barry made would be in the speedforce after the fight with Zoom. And in the speedforce you see everything, to past and the future.

but what if savitar (future barry) is barry from the time line b4 flash point. what if he's from the original time line. and in his time line he went through some stuff and turned evil. he lost iris. he lost everything but became evil and powerful and liked it. but then barry cause flash point and changed his future from becoming savitar. as we know speedsters aren't always effected right away by changes in time. so savitar realize that his future is changing cause barry created flash point. soon time will take whole and he will no longer have this power. so he travels back in time to create himself (put barry through horrible shut for taking his future and turn barry into savitar) like savitar says he created himself. so on his 1st try to turn the past flash into him he loses cause that flash (emo barry) traps him in the speed force and goes depressed so savitar gets out the speed force and decides to try again a second time. he already knows the events of the 1st time, but now something is different. past barry went to go visit emo barry which creates a 3rd new future. cause in the flash show there more than one futures. there's the future b4 flash point. there's the future after flash point and now cause barry spoke to emo barry there is a 3rd. like I said b4 I think savitar is from the original time line b4 flash point. the one where the flash disappears from the original future news paper.

I think when Barry went to 2024 to talk to emo Barry, that's when he created savitar. After getting the team back together, Emo Barry and the team must have fought an enemy that caused almost everyone close to Barry to die. This also explains why the newspaper in current day says "Flash goes missing FEBRUARY 2024". Like Joe said, "Love means everything, what's the point of life without it". It's pretty fucked up but I think it makes sense.
It's interesting, but I don't think it's enough for someone to hate Barry that much. Here's my theory : Barry1 : Present Barry2 : The Barry from 2024 that Barry1 visits Now : When Barry1 created flash point, he knew about all of this. He remember his flashpoint life. But, only him knows. It means Barry2 doesn't, since Barry2 had a life before Barry1 visits him, it means he has lived all his life without his mother and his father has been killed. So, maybe Barry2, one time, touch the stone : The stone gives you your flashpoint powers and memories -> He now know he had a happy life with his parents. "You took everything from me" -> His parents, his life. Maybe his half-flashpoint himself that hate Barry1 for destroying flashpoint and his happy life with it, become actually bigger (in the mind of Barry2) than the nice barry2 we know. Barry2 is now the barry that lived all his life with his parents and that merged with barry1 when he travelled in flashpoint, he didn't ask for that. He was living a cool life and BOOM barry1 take over : That explain why he doesn't care about killing Iris -> In flashpoint, he had no feeling for her.
I reckon savitar is an alternative version of Barry, so he was in a different timeline, when barry ( our flash ) created flashpoint, Savitars alternate world was destroyed but he got trapped in the speed force. So our flash took all of Savitars family and he wants revenge

technically any speedster from the future is a time remnant. So yes Savitar is a time remnant of current Barry's future. However like Jay told Barry, the future is always changing, their are many possible futures. This is Savitars motivation, he wants to ensure that the only future that exists is one in which he becomes Savitar, a self proclaimed god obsessed with his own speed. He kills iris to lead him down the path to becoming Savitar. However season 1 taught us that there are other future Barrys. Wells-thawne explains that flash in his timeline got his powers ten years later than our Barry did which means that Barry had much different experiences and so forth.

Savitar is Berry from the original timeline. By changing the timeline Berry caused the Flash in the original timeline to lose everything he had and now he crossed timelines to get revenge on Berry for messing up the original timeline and destroying his life. He is basically after himself. This theory might not be exactly accurate but I strongly believe it definitely has something to do with the original timeline being changed.
I think Berry creates a paradox by changing the timeline. The paradox is Berry becomes Savitar and destroys his own life and Berry finds out he is Savitar in the past and the loop keeps on and on.
My theory is that Savitar is Emo Barry from a timeline where Barry didn't reunite Team Flash. To prevent Team Flash from disbanding, Emo Barry runs back to other timelines, to put other Normal Barry's in distress (killing Iris), so no other Emo Barry has to deal with the loneliness. After breaking so many Speed Force laws, Super Emo Barry creates a suit of armour which keeps his body in a normal state and safe from Time Wraiths and Black Flash himself. When Super Emo Barry (now Savitar Suit), is finally trapped in the Speed Force, he sees his past self racing through the Speed Force. He realises that when he wasn't saved from loneliness he was doomed to be the villain, never the hero that the other's got to be.

Savitar is not a time remnant. I think Savitar-Barry is a time Aberration that resulted from the Original Barry correcting the Flashpoint timeline. Similarly to how the Legends of Tomorrow became Aberrations at the end of season 2 having to correct their mistakes within the proper timeline. When Original Barry fixed Flashpoint the proper timeline shifted into what it is now, opening the temporal door to alterations [Caitlyn is now KF, Cisco's bro dies, all the Wally and Earth 2 stuff etc.] As a result of this shift our Team Flash's future was now altered toward the Savitar timeline motivating the series of events needed for and to prevent Savitar's return [Philosopher stone arc, speed force trips, etc.] In episode 9 of Season 3 Barry and Jay throw the Philosopher's Stone into the speed force and Barry is sent to the possible future of Savitar-Barry in which Iris is killed thrusting that timeline's Barry on the path to Savitar. The twist is that our Original Barry who fixed Flashpoint witnessed this and he wasn't supposed to. Rewatch that episode specifically the dialogue between Jay and Barry. It's very telling in many ways, especially now that we know Barry is Savitar. Now, since our Barry witnessed it, it's a possibility that it could change. Savitar-Barry doesn't want this. That's why in episode 15 of season 3 he kept saying to everyone "it has to be, it's either you or me." So he must in fact now come to our timeline and set things in motion to ensure his rise. Moreover, I believe Savitar's true agenda is to erase all Barry Allens and speedsters from all timelines and dimensions [since we know he can go to other Earths because of Jay] in order to attain complete dominion and mastery over the speed force. This would give Barry the literal power to remake history however he sees fit without any of the consequences like Flashpoint since any and all possible versions of himself would then be just him [Savitar-Barry] Hence the "god of speed" rhetoric. This would also alleviate any threat the speed force would be to him as a prison if he was granted full dominion over it. He would literally be speed itself to rewrite time and space As he sees fit. In episode 15 of season 3 it's very telling that Barry never gets over any of the traumas he's had to endure so it would make sense that he would want to attain complete control of the speed force in order to rewrite his troubled past consequence free. The philosopher stone is simply a conduit for inter-dimensional energy. A key that grants access and power to whomever wields it. As the first and most powerful speedster Savitar-Barry's power becomes insanely amplified hence the armored suit that we now know dampens the heat energy released from his movement. The burn on his face was probably from before he got the suit. He became so fast his face started to burn from the friction making him discover he needed a suit to contain his new power. Or it could have been from a revolt against him and somehow he was injured in the exchange. His "big plans" for Jesse Quick most likely involve her science abilities and knowledge of inter-dimensional travel and energy. Once he's done using her he'll siphon her speed [philosopher's stone] and dispose of her. Just like all other speedsters and metas who threaten hi . The message Rip hunter and the Legends received I think was from the future 2024 Barry or "Emo Barry" years after our Barry went there and healed that timelines Team Flash. The war he spoke of was caused by future Savitar achieving his goal and messing with the entire speed-force time continuum. Barry says he could only tell Rip because the wave rider exists outside of time and as a former Time Lord if anybody could stop Savitar-Barry from erasing all timelines it's him. Barry also says not to trust anyone, not even him. I think this suggests Savitar could have rallied a variety of alternate versions of Barry who may support Savitar's motives for an entire time-space rewrite. Perhaps they're time remnants from timelines where iris is lost and will gladly sacrifice themselves for "The god of speed". Lol, Aight I'm done. Flash is dope.😎💯

The moment he stop the murder of her mom and the other flash went back to his timeline everything changes for the other flash... PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ I'd like to think that our Barry created Flashpoint. When he decided to fix history and end flashpoint, he split a part of him in flashpoint. Savitar talks about how he wants everything that Barry took from him. So, what if when our Barry came back, there was still a Flash Barry in Flashpoint. I know that he was losing his speed in Flashpoint so here's what happens. When our Barry came back, Flashpoint began to fall apart. The Barry that was still in Flashpoint lost someone (Iris or his living parents for example). To avoid losing his speed, he searched for the Philosopher's stone. Along with turning him into Savitar, it also drives him mad. Now, in the main time line, the Philosopher's stone brought back powers and memories from Flashpoint, so maybe the stone in Flashpoint can do the same but from the main timeline. Now driven mad with power and having memories of main timeline Barry, Savitar blames our Barry for his losses and sets out to make our Barry suffer just as he did. One could argue that he wouldn't kill Iris because he's Barry in there, but he had been driven mad by the stones power and is blinded by his hatred for our Barry. The idea that the suit protects him from his insane speed makes sense as if this disgruntled Flashpoint Barry is around the same speed as say current main timeline Barry, the new "godly" speed might be too much for his body. If that's the case, then that part of Adonis' theory/the show works perfectly. This still reminds me of the New 52 Blue Flash storyline. Maybe the rest of the season will be similar to it. However this is just a theory. The show may prove us all wrong, but I'd hope that I'm at least a little accurate.

When our Barry was in flash point, his memories of the other timeline began disappearing because the new timeline he was in was overwriting his old memories. So I ran into the memories being where it couldn't add up with what our current Barry was talking about. Since he tells Savitar you're always one step ahead of me because you lived through this already. That version of Barry in flashpoint wouldn't have lived through any of this timeline...
Here's my theory: Savitar is the original version of Barry who gets his power through original dead Harrison Wells' method (Eobard mentions, "you make particle accelerator in Year 2024. I need to make it a bit quicker") and not Eobard's method (season 1). He becomes good guy, does everything without Cisco, Caitlin and Harrison Wells (Eobard). He fights all evil speedsters, even Eobard. In his version of timeline, later he messes up his timeline by time travel very badly that everyone he loves dies. He loses his speed, his ability to harness speed force. He then learns about the Stone. He finds the stone in his version of future and gets his power back. He then spends his time learning more about the speed through this stone. But in alternate future, Eobard goes back in time and changes Barry's Past by becoming Harrison Wells and killing his mother. Savitar gets trapped into Speedforce because of that. Within speedforce, he realizes about Flashpoint. Because of that Savitar's memory keep changing (like how they showed Barry's memory getting erased during S03E01). He learns about the alternate life. Speedforce shows future, past and present, so Savitar learns he's gonna be trapped by Alternate Barry there.. He realizes no matter what happens, Barry is gonna make his mistakes and gets everyone he loves killed. So this famous villain quote "You took everything I loved, and now I'm gonna take away everything you love". Basically, Past Barry gets everyone killed taking away Savitar's loved ones.. hence Savitar now takes away everyone Barry loves.. Paradox... hope it's not complicated to understand

My challenge was, how will the show explain the memories, since Barry states that Savitar has already lived through what these events are. Meaning he has personal experience with what is currently going on. But man great idea
Makes much more sense with how several characters like Oliver and Jay state outright that Barry is "not a god" over the course of this season. The show runners have done a neat job tying these throwbacks together. As for how Savitar is born, it is likely when a version of Barry ceases to care/love and instead becomes obsessed with power and control. Regular Barry is already a control freak, so Savitar pushes that aspect to above and beyond normalcy.

I totally agree with your discussion, but I just think time remnants in general are weak plot points. They're confusingly vague and don't really make much sense. Every time Barry makes a time remnant, does he create a new split universe? When that time remnant dies does that universe no longer have a Flash? Again, nice video, but I wish they did something a little different this season.

Emre Kaya But doing will cause another universe split, where the time remnant remains in the past untouched and where it goes to the future. Like the first time Barry went back in time to stop Weather Wizard, that timeline is technically still going on and our current timeline has different events.
The way i saw it, the future flash(emo flash) became jealous of present Barry Allen because he had to go through losing iris. Meanwhile present Barry finds out savitars identity, and (for this theory's sake lets pretend present Barry saves iris and beats Savitar) Barry beats Savitar and saves Iris. Leading him to seek revenge and to make Barry go though what he went through.
So a speedster draws his speed from speedforce and when he runs speedforce protects him not to get melted at high speeds, so if savitar has problem with his speed hurting him then he is not geting his power from speedforce but from the stone? so thats why he needs suit. I m pretty sure all speedsters are protected from their speed, like from friction and stuff like that because they run like mach 10 speed. Same thing when they carry someone that person is also protected from the effects of runing super fast. Am i wrong?

I think its more like a paradox. There is a reason for all that religious "I am a god" shit talk from Savitar. I think that this Future Flash is a version where, to achieve his full potential with the speedforce, he needs to get rid of everything he cares in life and that path to becoming a god starts with Iris death (like Savitar told her on episode 05 "its either you or me Iris" and "I created myself"). So to ensure his existence and the path to becoming a god, he needs to go back and kill her. Still its a paradox that they might explain with the Flashpoint stuff later but, for now, it explains why Future Flash wants to kill what he loves most.
Savitar is regular barry, hes not a different type of barry thats why he knows him so well because he lived through every moment. He is the regular barry from the future. No remnant nor a flashpoint barry

He is technically an aberation. The entire CW universe is technically an aberation after flash season 1. There is a timeline we will never see where Barry becomes the flash in the year 2020, but all of that was changed when Reverse Flash changed the timeline. Its a plot hole. Best to not think to hard about it because our entire show is based around it. Also technically, flashpoint was the closest we got to the original timeline that we never got to see because his mom was never murdered.

Savitar is the Flash from Flashpoint. Barry took everything from him when he destroyed the Flashpoint timeline. Barry and Iris weren't close in Flashpoint so he would have no problem killing her. It's the reason you see Savitar early in the season pulling and converting people who had powers in Flashpoint
What if Savitar is the real Barry and the Barry we have it's really the time remit which explains a lot when Savitar Barry said to Flash Barry, I'm the Future Flash, You took everything from me and I want it back once I rise and you will fall. A message from Savitar Barry to Flash Barry.
I don't think its actually a time remnant, this is my theory of why Future Barry is Savitar. There is a comic where a future version of flash goes back to kill his younger self to try and prevent all the tragedies that he causes, I think that might be kind of whats going on here. I think originally Future Barry gets to a point where everyone he loves is dead and somehow or way its his fault so he wants to go back and kill himself to stop it from happening so that they could live but he ends up losing to the Flash who then traps him in the speed force for who knows how long, making him relive the most tragic thing in his life over and over again until it eventually destroys whatever of Barry was actually left in him and then flashpoint happens and he sees his way of escaping and so season 3 starts. In flash point we saw that Barry's memories were changing as he was forgetting his old life from season 1-2 and being replaced with new ones from the flashpoint timeline, since flashpoint happened the same thing could be happening to Savitar, his memories are changing/have changed and been replaced by our current Barry's memories so that is why he knows everything that is going to happen/is happening.
Another possibility around the 8:00 mark is bases on the trailer for the next Flash episode. Flash loses his memory for however long, but it's possible that the Savitar identity memory just never resurfaces. Or at least, not until after 2024. Then after regaining this memory of his, he realizes that his friends and family knew who Savitar was the entire time, but lied to him about it. And this Barry is already somewhat broken. That possible "betrayal" might push him further over the edge. Which might mean the timelines are still the same.
i don't really know what savitars motive but i think he just wants to show that he's powerful and be the god of speed so why kill iris is because if iris lived she would have prevented him from being the god of speed so she must die so he would loose attachment to every one and realize that he could be the god of speed

so heres my theory like we all know the philosopher stone grants you meta human powers from mostly other time lines where you had meta human abilities. so barry knowing he had to get the stone to try and save iris didn't realize that the savitar timeline still exist so him holding the stone it granted him the powers he needs but savitars timeline soul (for this occasion we will be using the term soul) took over barry which would keep the cycle going and no matter what barry does he will still be savitar . unless he doesn't try to obtain the speed to save iris . the flashpoint paradox barry created caused a disruption in the timeline which lead to savitar being born since barry created two identical timelines but in which one Barry's mom never died .which can explain why savitar "lived those moments " like they were history to him . reverse flash even warns him on what was about to happen he told him messing with time can lead to drastic changes even after leaving the timeline in which barrys mom is alive which we know that the speed force causes this for messing with time. but yeah thats why I have so far lol

So... since savitar is just a remnant so his life ain't fixed in the timeline (like Reverse Flash) so he is trying to make his original to become Savitar so the remnant can become a real living without worrying that the past might be fixed and the remnant might get erased from being Savitar... if any of that make sense... still... how did the remnant become evil?
It's a time remnant that Barry created that survived, because future Savitar knows which Barry becomes him, but the time remnant is out of "his" time & has to live without Iris & Joe because OG Barry has them & whatever happens to him after that is what sends him off the rails. That's how Barry figured it out because Joe says without love they have nothing & he realizes that it's him because he didn't get his life with Iris.

An easier way to explain this theory is this. There are two different modern theories about how time as an energy flows. The first is string theory, which is how you ended the video. If Emo Barry were to eventually become Savitar, and then go back and attempt to kill Iris, it would actually be, to use a Doctor Who terminology, a Bootstrap Paradox. In which future Barry intrinsically links his past to his own future. Now, let's say we know these things by The Flash's rules of time travel 1. The past is set (Yes, we know Barry can change the past, but the Speed Force has made it very clear that they can no longer allow this) 2. The Future is ever changing until it becomes the past (This is mentioned numerous times) 3. Because Barry can go through the flow of time, like a man on a motorboat, in either direction, according to the show, all time must exist concurrently, and every event is happening all at once (Think Dr. Manhattan's rules of time from Watchmen). Now, because of the future not being set, this means that we actually have to use Multiverse theory as an example. Because as the show has explained, there are multiple versions of the same universe all vibrating at different frequencies. Because these are born out of the energy of time, this is how Time Remnants are created. In this line of explanation, a Time Remnant would be removing one of those future timelines in order to cement your own timeline. So Emo Barry would never become Savitar, another possible future version would. Just like the numerous Eobard Thawnes that we have seen, since to Barry, there are an infinite number of them still, they keep coming from multiple versions of the future, because all of those timelines exist.
in the year 2020 barry creates a bunch of time remnants to fight savitar, savitar kills all the time remnants except one, after savitar is locked in the speed force team flash shunned the time remnant, and then he ran back in time to get the philosophers stone, it boosted his speed crazy and it damaged him, so he went to the year 2056 to build his suit, and old barry who did lost iris finds out savitars identity only then and locks him in the speed force
I think that Berry could run so fast that heat will be created .then he will need this suit and when he gets it he will try to kill Iris so our Berry will be destroyed and will stop training then he wont have heat so he will save himself
your understanding of the time remnant is completely wrong... its not so complicated as a version which failed comes back in time. its as simple as moving at hyper speed such that u finish the race even before u started.. when barry is running on the magnetar to stop Zoom he runs so fast that he time jumps to future from position X in time to X+1 second.. i.e. he jumps one sec into the future.. and obviously one sec in d future one more barry is present... so that's how u get a remnant
it makes sense for savatar after losing iris to go through the pain he went through then lose himself finding himself full of more power than he ever imagined to exist. to want to go back and erase the past barry/ flash by killing iris earlier making Barry go through what he already went through sooner rather than later having savatar reek havek for more years then he himself already has been able to do being he's originally from the future
So as I figure from what Savitar says, the time remnants that Barry creates in the future to fight savitar die mostly. The one that lives, becomes savitar because Joe, Cisco and Julian don't see the surviving remnant as "the real" Barry. So, the remnant gets depressed/mad and goes back in time to become Savitar so he could take everything from Barry. Savitar purposely (in the future described by emo barry) spares one remnant so that he can be born
My guess is as follows: 1. The moment Prime barry created flashpoint the minor events that changed (Cisco's brother dead; Katelyn with powers; Diggle with son - etc....) the future event was set such that Irish died. Savitar (barry) when his father was killed by zoom did not go back in time to save his mother so he married Irish and the paper was written by Iris West-Allen (as seen in season 1), The moment prime barry created flashpoint he screwed his future self - and in turn future barry got pissed at prime barry. OR 2. Savitar is Barry from flashpoint; where he lived with his mother and had no relationship with Iris; so when prime barry took reverse flash back to "correct" the timeline Savitar lost his family - so he is out to make prime barry's life hell. that said, another theory (theory 3) simple explanation would be that in the future timeline - Iris married Eddie; Flash instead of going for the lady went for power and became savitar, however, because prime barry changed the timeline such that he is now in a relationship with Iris - savitar in the future may seize to exist - so savitar is ensuring his survival by killing iris and putting the current barry on path to become savitar. ------------------------- This is the most straight forward theory; I wont be happy if the show went there but also wont be to ticked off--------------------

So I'm really contended from this theory about how Savitar is Barry's time remnant! But this creates my question - in the video you are telling that a time (timeline) remnant is remnant, copy of you from the future, then I saw Emre Kaya's comment how is a time remnant created - when a speedster travels to the future and grabs his future self and takes him in the present timeline from which is a speedster traveling to the future - so how that is possible, I mean Savitar to be Barry's future time remnant? Barry doesn't have the ability to travel to the future in season 2, he finds out that he can do it in the latest episodes of season 3. So I just think that Savitar cannot be Barry's time remnant, the remnant who Barry created to stop Zoom died, so I just think Savitar is an evil form created by the Speed Force to show present Barry what he can become if he keeps manipulating the timeline. 7:03..... this is the first time I have actually understood this completely. I could never quite wrap my head around the closed loop idea because, even if it eventually becomes a closed loop, it still had to have started somewhere and that was never quite explained. Speedsters that die end up in the speedforce right? So it's possible the time remnant Barry made would be in the speedforce after the fight with Zoom. And in the speedforce you see everything, to past and the future.

but what if savitar (future barry) is barry from the time line b4 flash point. what if he's from the original time line. and in his time line he went through some stuff and turned evil. he lost iris. he lost everything but became evil and powerful and liked it. but then barry cause flash point and changed his future from becoming savitar. as we know speedsters aren't always effected right away by changes in time. so savitar realize that his future is changing cause barry created flash point. soon time will take whole and he will no longer have this power. so he travels back in time to create himself (put barry through horrible shut for taking his future and turn barry into savitar) like savitar says he created himself. so on his 1st try to turn the past flash into him he loses cause that flash (emo barry) traps him in the speed force and goes depressed so savitar gets out the speed force and decides to try again a second time. he already knows the events of the 1st time, but now something is different. past barry went to go visit emo barry which creates a 3rd new future. cause in the flash show there more than one futures. there's the future b4 flash point. there's the future after flash point and now cause barry spoke to emo barry there is a 3rd. like I said b4 I think savitar is from the original time line b4 flash point. the one where the flash disappears from the original future news paper.

I think when Barry went to 2024 to talk to emo Barry, that's when he created savitar. After getting the team back together, Emo Barry and the team must have fought an enemy that caused almost everyone close to Barry to die. This also explains why the newspaper in current day says "Flash goes missing FEBRUARY 2024". Like Joe said, "Love means everything, what's the point of life without it". It's pretty fucked up but I think it makes sense.

Barry1 : Present
Barry2 : The Barry from 2024 that Barry1 visits
Now : When Barry1 created flash point, he knew about all of this. He remember his flashpoint life. But, only him knows. It means Barry2 doesn't, since Barry2 had a life before Barry1 visits him, it means he has lived all his life without his mother and his father has been killed. So, maybe Barry2, one time, touch the stone : The stone gives you your flashpoint powers and memories -> He now know he had a happy life with his parents. "You took everything from me" -> His parents, his life. Maybe his half-flashpoint himself that hate Barry1 for destroying flashpoint and his happy life with it, become actually bigger (in the mind of Barry2) than the nice barry2 we know. Barry2 is now the barry that lived all his life with his parents and that merged with barry1 when he travelled in flashpoint, he didn't ask for that. He was living a cool life and BOOM barry1 take over : That explain why he doesn't care about killing Iris -> In flashpoint, he had no feeling for her.

technically any speedster from the future is a time remnant. So yes Savitar is a time remnant of current Barry's future. However like Jay told Barry, the future is always changing, their are many possible futures. This is Savitars motivation, he wants to ensure that the only future that exists is one in which he becomes Savitar, a self proclaimed god obsessed with his own speed. He kills iris to lead him down the path to becoming Savitar. However season 1 taught us that there are other future Barrys. Wells-thawne explains that flash in his timeline got his powers ten years later than our Barry did which means that Barry had much different experiences and so forth.

Savitar is Berry from the original timeline. By changing the timeline Berry caused the Flash in the original timeline to lose everything he had and now he crossed timelines to get revenge on Berry for messing up the original timeline and destroying his life. He is basically after himself. This theory might not be exactly accurate but I strongly believe it definitely has something to do with the original timeline being changed.

My theory is that Savitar is Emo Barry from a timeline where Barry didn't reunite Team Flash. To prevent Team Flash from disbanding, Emo Barry runs back to other timelines, to put other Normal Barry's in distress (killing Iris), so no other Emo Barry has to deal with the loneliness. After breaking so many Speed Force laws, Super Emo Barry creates a suit of armour which keeps his body in a normal state and safe from Time Wraiths and Black Flash himself. When Super Emo Barry (now Savitar Suit), is finally trapped in the Speed Force, he sees his past self racing through the Speed Force. He realises that when he wasn't saved from loneliness he was doomed to be the villain, never the hero that the other's got to be.

Savitar is not a time remnant. I think Savitar-Barry is a time Aberration that resulted from the Original Barry correcting the Flashpoint timeline. Similarly to how the Legends of Tomorrow became Aberrations at the end of season 2 having to correct their mistakes within the proper timeline. When Original Barry fixed Flashpoint the proper timeline shifted into what it is now, opening the temporal door to alterations [Caitlyn is now KF, Cisco's bro dies, all the Wally and Earth 2 stuff etc.] As a result of this shift our Team Flash's future was now altered toward the Savitar timeline motivating the series of events needed for and to prevent Savitar's return [Philosopher stone arc, speed force trips, etc.] In episode 9 of Season 3 Barry and Jay throw the Philosopher's Stone into the speed force and Barry is sent to the possible future of Savitar-Barry in which Iris is killed thrusting that timeline's Barry on the path to Savitar. The twist is that our Original Barry who fixed Flashpoint witnessed this and he wasn't supposed to. Rewatch that episode specifically the dialogue between Jay and Barry. It's very telling in many ways, especially now that we know Barry is Savitar. Now, since our Barry witnessed it, it's a possibility that it could change. Savitar-Barry doesn't want this. That's why in episode 15 of season 3 he kept saying to everyone "it has to be, it's either you or me." So he must in fact now come to our timeline and set things in motion to ensure his rise. Moreover, I believe Savitar's true agenda is to erase all Barry Allens and speedsters from all timelines and dimensions [since we know he can go to other Earths because of Jay] in order to attain complete dominion and mastery over the speed force. This would give Barry the literal power to remake history however he sees fit without any of the consequences like Flashpoint since any and all possible versions of himself would then be just him [Savitar-Barry] Hence the "god of speed" rhetoric. This would also alleviate any threat the speed force would be to him as a prison if he was granted full dominion over it. He would literally be speed itself to rewrite time and space As he sees fit. In episode 15 of season 3 it's very telling that Barry never gets over any of the traumas he's had to endure so it would make sense that he would want to attain complete control of the speed force in order to rewrite his troubled past consequence free. The philosopher stone is simply a conduit for inter-dimensional energy. A key that grants access and power to whomever wields it. As the first and most powerful speedster Savitar-Barry's power becomes insanely amplified hence the armored suit that we now know dampens the heat energy released from his movement. The burn on his face was probably from before he got the suit. He became so fast his face started to burn from the friction making him discover he needed a suit to contain his new power. Or it could have been from a revolt against him and somehow he was injured in the exchange. His "big plans" for Jesse Quick most likely involve her science abilities and knowledge of inter-dimensional travel and energy. Once he's done using her he'll siphon her speed [philosopher's stone] and dispose of her. Just like all other speedsters and metas who threaten hi . The message Rip hunter and the Legends received I think was from the future 2024 Barry or "Emo Barry" years after our Barry went there and healed that timelines Team Flash. The war he spoke of was caused by future Savitar achieving his goal and messing with the entire speed-force time continuum. Barry says he could only tell Rip because the wave rider exists outside of time and as a former Time Lord if anybody could stop Savitar-Barry from erasing all timelines it's him. Barry also says not to trust anyone, not even him. I think this suggests Savitar could have rallied a variety of alternate versions of Barry who may support Savitar's motives for an entire time-space rewrite. Perhaps they're time remnants from timelines where iris is lost and will gladly sacrifice themselves for "The god of speed". Lol, Aight I'm done. Flash is dope.😎💯

That's where he might have gotten his scars... He might have lost his memory... Because the same thing was happening with the present Barry... This is just my assumption, I still need to find out...

I'd like to think that our Barry created Flashpoint. When he decided to fix history and end flashpoint, he split a part of him in flashpoint. Savitar talks about how he wants everything that Barry took from him. So, what if when our Barry came back, there was still a Flash Barry in Flashpoint. I know that he was losing his speed in Flashpoint so here's what happens. When our Barry came back, Flashpoint began to fall apart. The Barry that was still in Flashpoint lost someone (Iris or his living parents for example). To avoid losing his speed, he searched for the Philosopher's stone. Along with turning him into Savitar, it also drives him mad. Now, in the main time line, the Philosopher's stone brought back powers and memories from Flashpoint, so maybe the stone in Flashpoint can do the same but from the main timeline. Now driven mad with power and having memories of main timeline Barry, Savitar blames our Barry for his losses and sets out to make our Barry suffer just as he did. One could argue that he wouldn't kill Iris because he's Barry in there, but he had been driven mad by the stones power and is blinded by his hatred for our Barry. The idea that the suit protects him from his insane speed makes sense as if this disgruntled Flashpoint Barry is around the same speed as say current main timeline Barry, the new "godly" speed might be too much for his body. If that's the case, then that part of Adonis' theory/the show works perfectly. This still reminds me of the New 52 Blue Flash storyline. Maybe the rest of the season will be similar to it. However this is just a theory. The show may prove us all wrong, but I'd hope that I'm at least a little accurate.

When our Barry was in flash point, his memories of the other timeline began disappearing because the new timeline he was in was overwriting his old memories. So I ran into the memories being where it couldn't add up with what our current Barry was talking about. Since he tells Savitar you're always one step ahead of me because you lived through this already. That version of Barry in flashpoint wouldn't have lived through any of this timeline...
Here's my theory: Savitar is the original version of Barry who gets his power through original dead Harrison Wells' method (Eobard mentions, "you make particle accelerator in Year 2024. I need to make it a bit quicker") and not Eobard's method (season 1). He becomes good guy, does everything without Cisco, Caitlin and Harrison Wells (Eobard). He fights all evil speedsters, even Eobard. In his version of timeline, later he messes up his timeline by time travel very badly that everyone he loves dies. He loses his speed, his ability to harness speed force. He then learns about the Stone. He finds the stone in his version of future and gets his power back. He then spends his time learning more about the speed through this stone.
But in alternate future, Eobard goes back in time and changes Barry's Past by becoming Harrison Wells and killing his mother. Savitar gets trapped into Speedforce because of that. Within speedforce, he realizes about Flashpoint. Because of that Savitar's memory keep changing (like how they showed Barry's memory getting erased during S03E01). He learns about the alternate life. Speedforce shows future, past and present, so Savitar learns he's gonna be trapped by Alternate Barry there.. He realizes no matter what happens, Barry is gonna make his mistakes and gets everyone he loves killed. So this famous villain quote "You took everything I loved, and now I'm gonna take away everything you love". Basically, Past Barry gets everyone killed taking away Savitar's loved ones.. hence Savitar now takes away everyone Barry loves.. Paradox... hope it's not complicated to understand

My challenge was, how will the show explain the memories, since Barry states that Savitar has already lived through what these events are. Makes much more sense with how several characters like Oliver and Jay state outright that Barry is "not a god" over the course of this season. The show runners have done a neat job tying these throwbacks together. As for how Savitar is born, it is likely when a version of Barry ceases to care/love and instead becomes obsessed with power and control. Regular Barry is already a control freak, so Savitar pushes that aspect to above and beyond normalcy.

I totally agree with your discussion, but I just think time remnants in general are weak plot points. They're confusingly vague and don't really make much sense. Every time Barry makes a time remnant, does he create a new split universe? When that time remnant dies does that universe no longer have a Flash? Again, nice video, but I wish they did something a little different this season.

The way i saw it, the future flash(emo flash) became jealous of present Barry Allen because he had to go through losing iris. Meanwhile present Barry finds out savitars identity, and (for this theory's sake lets pretend present Barry saves iris and beats Savitar) Barry beats Savitar and saves Iris. Leading him to seek revenge and to make Barry go though what he went through.
So a speedster draws his speed from speedforce and when he runs speedforce protects him not to get melted at high speeds, so if savitar has problem with his speed hurting him then he is not geting his power from speedforce but from the stone? so thats why he needs suit. I m pretty sure all speedsters are protected from their speed, like from friction and stuff like that because they run like mach 10 speed. I think its more like a paradox. There is a reason for all that religious "I am a god" shit talk from Savitar. I think that this Future Flash is a version where, to achieve his full potential with the speedforce, he needs to get rid of everything he cares in life and that path to becoming a god starts with Iris death (like Savitar told her on episode 05 "its either you or me Iris" and "I created myself"). So to ensure his existence and the path to becoming a god, he needs to go back and kill her. Still its a paradox that they might explain with the Flashpoint stuff later but, for now, it explains why Future Flash wants to kill what he loves most.
Savitar is regular barry, hes not a different type of barry thats why he knows him so well because he lived through every moment. He is the regular barry from the future. No remnant nor a flashpoint barry

He is technically an aberation. The entire CW universe is technically an aberation after flash season 1. There is a timeline we will never see where Barry becomes the flash in the year 2020, but all of that was changed when Reverse Flash changed the timeline. Its a plot hole. Best to not think to hard about it because our entire show is based around it.
Also technically, flashpoint was the closest we got to the original timeline that we never got to see because his mom was never murdered.

Savitar is the Flash from Flashpoint. Barry took everything from him when he destroyed the Flashpoint timeline. Barry and Iris weren't close in Flashpoint so he would have no problem killing her. It's the reason you see Savitar early in the season pulling and converting people who had powers in Flashpoint

I don't think its actually a time remnant, this is my theory of why Future Barry is Savitar. There is a comic where a future version of flash goes back to kill his younger self to try and prevent all the tragedies that he causes, I think that might be kind of whats going on here. I think originally Future Barry gets to a point where everyone he loves is dead and somehow or way its his fault so he wants to go back and kill himself to stop it from happening so that they could live but he ends up losing to the Flash who then traps him in the speed force for who knows how long, making him relive the most tragic thing in his life over and over again until it eventually destroys whatever of Barry was actually left in him and then flashpoint happens and he sees his way of escaping and so season 3 starts. In flash point we saw that Barry's memories were changing as he was forgetting his old life from season 1-2 and being replaced with new ones from the flashpoint timeline, since flashpoint happened the same thing could be happening to Savitar, his memories are changing/have changed and been replaced by our current Barry's memories so that is why he knows everything that is going to happen/is happening.
Another possibility around the 8:00 mark is bases on the trailer for the next Flash episode. Flash loses his memory for however long, but it's possible that the Savitar identity memory just never resurfaces. Or at least, not until after 2024. Then after regaining this memory of his, he realizes that his friends and family knew who Savitar was the entire time, but lied to him about it. And this Barry is already somewhat broken. That possible "betrayal" might push him further over the edge. Which might mean the timelines are still the same.

i don't really know what savitars motive but i think he just wants to show that he's powerful and be the god of speed so why kill iris is because if iris lived she would have prevented him from being the god of speed so she must die so he would loose attachment to every one and realize that he could be the god of speed

so heres my theory like we all know the philosopher stone grants you meta human powers from mostly other time lines where you had meta human abilities. so barry knowing he had to get the stone to try and save iris didn't realize that the savitar timeline still exist so him holding the stone it granted him the powers he needs but savitars timeline soul (for this occasion we will be using the term soul) took over barry which would keep the cycle going and no matter what barry does he will still be savitar . unless he doesn't try to obtain the speed to save iris . the flashpoint paradox barry created caused a disruption in the timeline which lead to savitar being born since barry created two identical timelines but in which one Barry's mom never died .which can explain why savitar "lived those moments " like they were history to him . reverse flash even warns him on what was about to happen he told him messing with time can lead to drastic changes even after leaving the timeline in which barrys mom is alive which we know that the speed force causes this for messing with time. but yeah thats why I have so far lol

So... since savitar is just a remnant so his life ain't fixed in the timeline (like Reverse Flash) so he is trying to make his original to become Savitar so the remnant can become a real living without worrying that the past might be fixed and the remnant might get erased from being Savitar... if any of that make sense... still... how did the remnant become evil?

It's a time remnant that Barry created that survived, because future Savitar knows which Barry becomes him, but the time remnant is out of "his" time & has to live without Iris & Joe because OG Barry has them & whatever happens to him after that is what sends him off the rails. That's how Barry figured it out because Joe says without love they have nothing & he realizes that it's him because he didn't get his life with Iris.
I think this future Barry (Savitar) is coming from the Flashpoint, because the article on the newspaper changed after that event. So, maybe could be a Flash from that timeline, or maybe the Flash that saves his mother before fixing the timeline.

An easier way to explain this theory is this. There are two different modern theories about how time as an energy flows. The first is string theory, which is how you ended the video. If Emo Barry were to eventually become Savitar, and then go back and attempt to kill Iris, it would actually be, to use a Doctor Who terminology, a Bootstrap Paradox. In which future Barry intrinsically links his past to his own future.
Now, let's say we know these things by The Flash's rules of time travel
1. The past is set (Yes, we know Barry can change the past, but the Speed Force has made it very clear that they can no longer allow this)
2. The Future is ever changing until it becomes the past (This is mentioned numerous times)
3. Because Barry can go through the flow of time, like a man on a motorboat, in either direction, according to the show, all time must exist concurrently, and every event is happening all at once (Think Dr. Manhattan's rules of time from Watchmen).
Now, because of the future not being set, this means that we actually have to use Multiverse theory as an example. Because as the show has explained, there are multiple versions of the same universe all vibrating at different frequencies. Because these are born out of the energy of time, this is how Time Remnants are created. In this line of explanation, a Time Remnant would be removing one of those future timelines in order to cement your own timeline. So Emo Barry would never become Savitar, another possible future version would. Just like the numerous Eobard Thawnes that we have seen, since to Barry, there are an infinite number of them still, they keep coming from multiple versions of the future, because all of those timelines exist.
The Philosopher's stone is either condensed speed force or a substance infused with that particle accelerator energy.

your understanding of the time remnant is completely wrong... its not so complicated as a version which failed comes back in time.
its as simple as moving at hyper speed such that u finish the race even before u started..
when barry is running on the magnetar to stop Zoom he runs so fast that he time jumps to future from position X in time to X+1 second.. i.e. he jumps one sec into the future..
and obviously one sec in d future one more barry is present... so that's how u get a remnant
it makes sense for savatar after losing iris to go through the pain he went through then lose himself finding himself full of more power than he ever imagined to exist. to want to go back and erase the past barry/ flash by killing iris earlier making Barry go through what he already went through sooner rather than later having savatar reek havek for more years then he himself already has been able to do being he's originally from the future
So as I figure from what Savitar says, the time remnants that Barry creates in the future to fight savitar die mostly. The one that lives, becomes savitar because Joe, Cisco and Julian don't see the surviving remnant as "the real" Barry. So, the remnant gets depressed/mad and goes back in time to become Savitar so he could take everything from Barry. Savitar purposely (in the future described by emo barry) spares one remnant so that he can be born

My guess is as follows:
1. The moment Prime barry created flashpoint the minor events that changed (Cisco's brother dead; Katelyn with powers; Diggle with son - etc....) the future event was set such that Irish died. Savitar (barry) when his father was killed by zoom did not go back in time to save his mother so he married Irish and the paper was written by Iris West-Allen (as seen in season 1), The moment prime barry created flashpoint he screwed his future self - and in turn future barry got pissed at prime barry.
OR
2. Savitar is Barry from flashpoint; where he lived with his mother and had no relationship with Iris; so when prime barry took reverse flash back to "correct" the timeline Savitar lost his family - so he is out to make prime barry's life hell.
that said,
another theory (theory 3) simple explanation would be that in the future timeline - Iris married Eddie; Flash instead of going for the lady went for power and became savitar, however, because prime barry changed the timeline such that he is now in a relationship with Iris - savitar in the future may seize to exist - so savitar is ensuring his survival by killing iris and putting the current barry on path to become savitar. ------------------------- This is the most straight forward theory; I wont be happy if the show went there but also wont be to ticked off--------------------
What if the time reminant that helped Barry is savitar and that's why he's mad he some how came back and he was running so fast that he got a burn that's what think and since he did that everything is gone

So I'm really contended from this theory about how Savitar is Barry's time remnant! But this creates my question - in the video you are telling that a time (timeline) remnant is remnant, copy of you from the future, then I saw Emre Kaya's comment how is a time remnant created - when a speedster travels to the future and grabs his future self and takes him in the present timeline from which is a speedster traveling to the future - so how that is possible, I mean Savitar to be Barry's future time remnant? Barry doesn't have the ability to travel to the future in season 2, he finds out that he can do it in the latest episodes of season 3. So I just think that Savitar cannot be Barry's time remnant, the remnant who Barry created to stop Zoom died, so I just think Savitar is an evil form created by the Speed Force to show present Barry what he can become if he keeps manipulating the timeline.
